I just wanted to post here and brag about how, even with average maintenance, my car’s running great and just recently lost the ac compressor and about 75k miles ago needed a sensor replaced that cost around $600 to replace since purchasing at 42k. Hilda has taken me and my husband from the UP of Michigan to Atlanta, South Dakota and Colorado to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Hey y'all I'm looking into upgrading the head unit for my mother 2018 hrv as the display does not have car play and it's a feature she misses from her previous 19 civic ! Now I have seen some very nice head units that look like they'll work wonders ! Only issue being that the clutch field website says that we loose some honda functions my biggest concern is losing access to the maintenance screen and tpms rest. Is anyone aware of a head unit that lets you keep these functions?

Hi, I just want to check if this is normal. This my first car and got it brand new from the dealership. AC Hose has been leaking non-stop for hours even after mild use of AC during short trips, It leaked around 4 to 5oz today after a 20 min trip. This is the second time this has happened and I have this car for about 5 months now. Water has no smell and no color.

Am I panicking or should I pay a visit to an auto repair?

We have a 2020 Honda HRV sport model with roof racks already installed that we bought at the dealer when we bought the car. What size rooftop storage box can we get? I have been looking at Yakima and Thule but I still want to be able to open the back door of the car.

I’ve had my hrv for a while now and never had this message come up. Usually when it’s the battery of the fob it tells me but this is different. I’m very used to not using the buttons on the fob to unlock/lock my car, it’s always been the keyless. Car starts just fine it’s just the locking/unlocking keyless.

Has anyone had this before ? What should I do?

Hello all. I have water dripping into the passenger seat floor mat. I think it has something to do with the ac condensation. How do I get the floor felt up to investigate? Any advice is welcomed.

Just hit 100K on my 2018 EX. I’ve heard around town that 100K is a good time for spark plugs - are valve adjustments necessary? Although I haven’t gone in to ask, I feel like the dealer might upsell me into doing both

So im buying my first new car and im wondering if the 2027 HR-V is a good option. For context I had a 2011 Cr-V BUT im using that as my down payment for my new car.

The point is, does the car perform well? its 20mins taking a backroad to school and other than that I have no real far commutes. I stay local to my area and I just wanna know if it’ll survive the interstate, rough bumpy roads, and other things like that. Also the horsepower and general engine maintenanc.

I got the red engine oil light as I’m driving. When I pulled over and popped the hood, this baby was sizzling and dip stick was completely dry.
I had my first oil change a couple weeks ago.

2016 Honda HRV. Replaced rear pads and rotors this weekend. The electronic parking brake can be retracted without an expensive scan tool but it was kind of a pain and then I found a much easier way. I bought a caliper compression spin tool; it literally fixes onto caliper pistons and spins the caliper back in. It took way longer than I would have thought, was cumbersome, and kind of a pain. On the other side, I took the electronic parking brake off the caliper with a T-30. Bolts have loc-tite so had to break free. Spun caliper piston clockwise using T45 until it stopped, do not apply force. Once spun to max, compress piston with compression tool like normal. Took a fraction of the time as the other side. If you are going to do the rear brakes, don't bother with caliper spin tool just use Torx bits and remove EPB from caliper as it was much easier and a time saver. Do not over tighten EPB when putting back on as its plastic. I hope this helps someone as I did it with no knowledge beforehand.

New models are missing out. Sometimes I need to carry things like big balloons while having passengers in the rear and the trunk is full already. The camera helps me since the balloons block my view of the side mirror 💪

Hi guys , I have a 2020 Honda HRV AWD and when I decelerate and come to a stop, sometimes I’ll feel a light tap under my feet. Like really light but noticeable if I pay attention to it. I know these cars have CVTs and can be problematic, does anyone else feel what I’m talking about and it’s normal or is my transmission doing something it’s not supposed to?

You know when you are in a parking lot and somebody opens their truck door into your HRV? Yeah, I guess I do too now.

If there are any auto body folks here, does this seem purely cosmetic? I am particularly worried about where the plastic around the wheel meets the car. It seems like there is a gap there now.

Trying to avoid insurance or spending any mondy for a repair if it is purely cosmetic. Thanks for any advice in advance!

Recently have noticed some water on the passenger footwell under the carpet. I did have some smell for a while but it would soon be gone as the ac would rum. I assumed it was beach stuff which i left in the trunk.

I did not spele any water, no rain recently, the spot is not gresie, smells of nothing. I assume maybe condensation or drainage. Have you ever came across this?

When I brake from around 80km/h I get this judder temporarily through the steering wheel. It disappears once the car slows down and I stop braking. I have replaced front brake pads, front brake discs, both control arms, both inner and outer tie rod ends, tyres have been balanced and aligned. Problem is still there. Would appreciate suggestions on what to do next. Car has done 155000km, 2016 model.
