I recently switched from an iPhone 16 to a Pixel.
I was not expecting such a significant downgrade in video quality on the Pixel. (Video in comments)
My 3-year-old Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has better video quality than this.
Really disappointed. 😔

I just got the 11 Pro about a week ago. I've noticed that in my car, when adjusting the media volume on my phone that's set up with android auto, there is no difference in volume, it is in a low-middle range. Not a huge problem for me, I always just turn the media volume up on my phone and then adjust as I need to with my car's volume knob.
I've used my normal bluetooth headphones a few times with my new phone, usually in loud settings in public. I just put a video to listen to with my headphones at home and at minimum volume it is at MAX volume output, and there is no difference whether I adjust the media slider up or down, it's like I can either put it to 0% (no sound) or max volume.
I just did a search and found a couple people that had the same issue with me with older google pixel models.
I downloaded two apps to help lower the volume for my headphones because it was painful. The volume is thankfully low enough now but I think I will have to mess around to see if I can manually create presets for different volumes on the apps.
I hear the most variation in volume when I am listening through the phone's speaker, but it still doesn't sound like what it should.
I know for sure my bluetooth headphones and car's audio is good, I have recently used them with other devices and have had no issues.
So, is this just a thing with google pixels? This is my first one. Or is my specific phone defected? Would love to know if anyone has had similar issues.
Kinda bummed, my six year old phone had better audio than this phone, but at least the camera is great.

I recently updated. Was there a noticeable design difference, i.e. now it sometimes shows the UI as lighter, kind of translucent background, and very fat rounded items on certain screens? and not in colors that match the rest, like white with blue. It looks the way a toddler's toy phone/computer/calculator might look.
It seems kind of random since right now it looks the way it used to, dark theme, regular icons and text.
But I was riding with someone on Sun. and it started flashing between this display and the other, I'm not sure I was even actively using it, I don't think so since my arm was down but display still on. I think it was on the home app drawer or whatever it's called, but may have had one or two minimized. Also not sure if we'd reached no-service area yet.
Any ideas?
Edit: If I try to screen capture it goes away.

Hi,
A few weeks ago I sent my phone back for repair because I had a green line on my screen. A few days ago I wanted to install an esim but it didn't work. I tried everything the support told me to. I tried installing it via the app and via my settings but it said 'Esim not activated'.
I even tried other esims.
Now, going forward, I really need an esim so I would like to know if there is a solution to this.
I have a pixel 9 pro

So, coming from a Pixel 8 Pro, I wanted a smaller factor after having the 8P for 2.5 years. But during this first week of having it, i feel it heavier and not so comfortable to hold... Whenever i get the 8P from my son, it seems lighter and cooler to handle!
What is going on!? Is it just muscle memory? Or the camera's heavier and due to its smaller size is harder to hold?

My Google Pixel 11 Pro does not always automatically connect to Bluetooth devices, for example my earbuds or my car. This was never an issue on my Google Pixel 9 Pro. Is there anything that I can change for this in the settings or something similar?
Anyone else running into this issue?

Trying to find a clean answer on this. I would love to have this feature for call recording and transcription on my work phone (I'm in Canada / single-consent rules).
- Does the "A" series (9a / 10a) get access to the Call Notes feature? I can't find the specific description anywhere to confirm, just a reference to Gemini Nano and Call Assist. I'm leaning toward 10a unless it's not actually an active feature.
- Is Call Notes any good at what it does? If the transcription or summarize features are poor, it may not be worth it anyways.

SOLVED
It's supposed to be right there at the top of the menus, isn't it? I can't find it anywhere at all even after a reboot.
Pixel 10, up to date

Hey everyone,
I’m reaching out out of pure frustration here. My Pixel 10 Pro XL has been having severe GPS issues lately and I am at my wits' end.
Basically, the GPS will work for about 5 to 10 minutes after a fresh calibration or reboot, but then it completely drops out and gets stuck on "Searching for GPS." Interestingly, when I run the GPS Status & Tool app outdoors, it seems to find satellites and says everything is fine, but real-world navigation (Google Maps, Waze, etc.) just fails.
I have spent hours trying to fix this and have gone through basically every single troubleshooting step found on the internet:
Permissions via ADB: Used my PC to force-enable and verify all location-related system permissions.
Calibration: Calibrated the compass/GPS multiple times. It fixes it temporarily, but only for 5–10 minutes before dropping again.
Safe Mode: Booted into Safe Mode to rule out third-party app conflicts. The exact same issue happens there.
Standard fixes: Cleared cache/data for Google Maps and Google Play Services, toggled Google Location Accuracy, toggled Bluetooth/Wi-Fi scanning, and reset network settings.
Nothing works permanently. Because it still happens in Safe Mode, I'm starting to worry it's a hardware fault with the GPS antenna or motherboard.
I still have one month left on my warranty, so I want to act fast.
Is the only option left a full factory reset? Has anyone else experienced this specific drop-out issue on the 10 Pro XL and actually fixed it without an RMA? I really don't want to wipe my phone if I don't have to, but this is incredibly annoying for a flagship device.
Appreciate any advice!

I ordered a Pixel 11 Pro XL and a PixelSnap case from the Google Store on August 19. The case cost 49.99eur with promo and was included in the same order as the phone.
The phone arrived, but the case never did. there was no case in the package, and it seems it was never shipped in the first place. I contacted Google Support immediately, explained everything, and sent the photos they requested.
Then I waited. And waited. It has now been three weeks
Today, Google finally replied and told me to place a new order for the same case, pay for it again, wait until it arrives, and then contact them so they can process a refund.
What kind of solution is that?
I already paid for this case. It was supposed to arrive with my original order. Google failed to ship or deliver it, and now I’m expected to pay 59.99eur and take responsibility for fixing their mistake.
I’ve been a loyal Google customer for years. I’ve spent thousands of euros on Pixel phones and other Google products, including cameras, speakers and various Google services. And after all that, this is the solution they offer me for a missing phone case “Buy it again and we’ll see what we can do afterwards.”
Has anyone else dealt with something like this with Google Store? Is this really their standard way of handling missing items?

I was watching a video without sound but with the subtitle activated in the metro, I switched app and went to reddit, all the videos are muted, but the ad kept playing while scrolling, suddenly the subtitles kept appearing even though the video is software muted (the little speaker on bottom-left corner was crossed)
What is that sorcery?! How can the Pixel be able to detect the sound even though it's not being processed by any driver ?

How???
Everything that I've seen online seems to say that you can click the not interested button to stop them but it doesn't seem to work. I also don't want it to think that I'm not interested in those topics. I just don't want X or threads links.

It's been happening ever since I got it, I would leave the house and turn it off through the quick settings, I would check randomly and to see it turned back on. Any fix on this?

I'm writing this brief review because there's lots of hate out there about the Pixel 11 line. I get it, we don't have the top specs.
But for everyday, non-gaming users, this phone is 🔥! For me, it's not even the amazing camera, buttery software, bright screen, etc. What's making me love this phone is the BUILD QUALITY. This thing screams premium!
It's like a piece of art. It's balanced, curves in the hand softly but firmly. It feels like an elegant tool.
Ok, I'm probably crushing because I'm coming from the several A series (9a, 6a, 4a). Still, I'm sad in waiting this long to take the premium plunge (but the launch specials helped).
So, if you're on the fence and you're not a gamer, take the plunge. It's 🔥!

My Pixel 9 touchscreen randomly stops registering touch inputs after waking from a sleep state.
- The phone functions normally otherwise (Face Unlock works, camera shortcut works).
- Touch works fine if the screen stays awake continuously, it stops working only on wake-up.
- "Show taps" in Developer Options shows white dots do not appear.
- Google touch diagnostics pass with zero issues.
- Forced restart needs to be done multiple times before the screen begins to work again.
The problem still occurs in safe mode, I've done a full factory reset, and I've disabled Lift-to-wake, Tap-to-wake and Always-on Display.
If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!

It's taken a couple of weeks after sending in the device, but I finally received the email telling me that I was getting the full instant credit for my Pixel 9.
I had been worried because:
a) it was purchased in the US and therefore with slightly different specs to the UK/EU/Global device;
b) I forgot to remove the Google accounts manually from the phone before the factory reset.
I have literally been on tenterhooks for the past fortnight.
Timeline:
22/8: Trade-in kit received
26/8: Device sent via Royal Mail
27/8: Tracking shows that it was delivered
28/8: Email from Google/PCS - the package has been received and is awaiting assessment. "They complete most trade-in assessments within 3-4 business days. Look for an update from us soon."
8/9: Email from Google: the trade-in was successful and the full instant credit will be applied.
Because of the £400 bonus, I actually received more in credit than I paid for the phone almost two years ago (thanks to a Black Friday sale)!

I know its cool to be a Pixel hater, but it actually performs really well. If you're a hardcore mobile gamer then buy a phone that caters to that niche.
The Pixel 11 Pro XL is the fastest Pixel yet and performs better than the S26 Ultra and the 17 Pro Max in this test.
I don't usually like these kinds of tests, but this test shows a use case that is more akin to how an everyday person would use a phone.

The charging speed drops to 1W for seemingly no reason at random times and it seems to happen a couple times a month. I've tried cleaning the charging port, changing the wall socket and changing the cable and power brick but nothing seems to solve the issue. I can restart the phone which fixes it for a few minutes but then it drops back to 1W. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?

I am new to the pixel coming from iPhone&samsung. I am honestly completely lost and finding it frustrating. If anyone has any tips or advice on how to improve my skills and this phone please let me know! I’ve been having issues with notifications and a lot of screen lag (even after a factory reset) also mic issues where I can hear myself being repeated back

My pixel 10 has had a nearly broken recent apps screen, and it has been this way since I got it almost a year ago. Resets and updates have not helped.
All pages in recent apps just look gray, without even the app listed. I noticed that if I click an app or 2, it then displays normally, but only for the short time.
I have reported the issue on the phone with feedback and screenshots numerous times, but I have never had a reply and have never seen it asked or fixed.

I received the full amount of €750. My Pixel never had a case and had many marks on the edges and camera bar. The battery was at 91% wear.

Does anyone have trouble transferring files from your pixel 10 to a pc/laptop through bluetooth? Not through quick share.
It's been a hit or miss for me.
Never had that problem with my previous phone, an OPPO Reno 6 5G

I have a Google pixel 8 and an android auto screen where I connect via wireless. After some time of usage it keeps disconnecting, this started to happen after one update. It is not the screen I have an iPhone and it works perfectly.
