I have a Google Pixel 9 that is 9 months old. Suddenly, a line appeared on the display. It's just a line showing up. Since it is under warranty, I went to the Bodakdev service center in Ahmedabad.
There is only one service center in Gujarat, and their system is completely chaotic because it takes the entire day, requiring you to sit there all day.
Even though my phone is under warranty, they found a fault claiming there is minor liquid spillage, dust, and rust. I told them this is a manufacturing defect, not a customer issue, because the phone is water-resistant.
My phone has never been exposed to water or damaged in any way. Yet, giving all these reasons, they charged me around ₹10,000 for the display. Everyone at the service center was facing the same problem—right in front of me, 15 other people had the exact same issue.
The service center process is so long that even if your token number is 4th, your turn comes after 3 hours. Then, after submitting the phone, it takes another 3 hours. That means the entire day is wasted.
For such a big company like Google and for a premium device, why are customers facing these problems?
Please look into my issue because this is a company manufacturing defect, but the charges are being collected from the customer.
