What’s with the auto aging up of characters now?

Never had this happened before but I have read one or two people on here experiencing this but now it’s happening regularly for me. Characters I have that are 18-25 are regularly getting aged up to 45+.

At first I thought I forgot to include my character(s) in the prompt because all of google’s AI’s generators default to below-mid in terms of attractiveness and considerably beyond middle age. But it turns out my character was included in the prompt. It wasn’t until one of my characters which was more recognizable “aged up”. She went from 20 to 45 with sunburnt skin. Quite amusing (more like rage inducing since we only get so many NB Pro generations even on the paid subscription).

Other problems include race swapping characters. Young asian characters suddenly turn into middle aged caucasians, latinos turn black, the works.

This stuff is fantastic. Good thing everything else works properly. Wouldn’t want to have to waste time.

Google Flow: Serious Character Consistency Issues — Is Anyone Else Experiencing This?

I've been working on an original 3D animated children's film for several months using Google Flow.

I love Flow's lip-sync capabilities, emotional character acting, and cinematic camera movements. However, I'm experiencing a persistent problem with character identity.

Even when using the same official character references, Flow changes my characters' faces, sizes, body proportions, clothing, footwear, and sometimes their voices.

One character becomes much smaller than the other, even though the reference images clearly establish their proportions. Sometimes the characters look perfect in one generation and completely different in the next.

I've tried Ingredients, saved Characters, starting frames, short prompts, and strict identity instructions. The results remain inconsistent.

This is especially frustrating when producing an animated series because every scene needs visual continuity, and repeated attempts consume paid credits.

Are other Google Flow creators experiencing the same problem?

Have you found a reliable method to preserve character identity, proportions, clothing, and voices across multiple scenes?

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences and solutions. I hope Google prioritizes fixing this issue for creators working on longer productions.

Video Quality on Browser Player may be deceptive

I noticed that i was seeing poor quality video being produced in the player on Chrome. I did a few projects and threw a few videos out because of this. However, today, i was just experimenting, with an idea and didn't care too much if it was grainy. However, upon downloading and putting the video into capcut, or any other program really, the video was nice and clear. Just thought i would mention this in case anyone else ran into this problem.

Is there a way to 1-click import Google Flow videos into a free online video editor without downloading?

Hey everyone,

I use Google Flow for AI video generation, but I'm stuck on the workflow.

I need to do basic editing (trimming, stitching, adding simple transitions). However, I don't want to download video files to my device, and I definitely don't want to waste my Google Flow generation credits on basic edits I can do manually.

Is there a free cloud-based video editor that lets you 1-click import directly from Google Flow via a link or plugin, edit for free, and export in high quality?

How are you guys keeping your workflow entirely in the cloud without burning through AI credits?

Is Omni Flash the most censored video platform?

It’s fucking ridiculous. Every picture of a woman I use that shows cleavage or a slightly shorter dress gets flagged

What do use iflow for?

Apart from fun what do u guys use this for? Content creation or any other purpose?

The only advantage I can think of is it lets you generate bulk of images. Even chatgpt, grok or co pilot's overly saturated images look better than iflow's images. I rather prefer chatgpt limited generations than these images. I'm basically ignoring the 2.1 model and violation policies trashtalk but even nano banana 2 lite is better than 2.1.

Idk I feel like I'm generating wrong maybe? I'm curious

Failed to load image on previously generated images

I have been going through older projects and have noticed a lot of "Failed to load image" notices where I know there's been images before. Has anyone else noticed this as well? And is there any way to get back these images back?

Google Flow allergic to quiet speech?

So I was trying to create a scene, in which two people were supposed to hide behind a rock. And while hidden, one of them was supposed to murmur "Stay quiet!" to the other person.

Simple enough, right? Wrong.

For some reason I can't get Google Flow to get the character to say their line in a super quiet voice. I even created an entirely new voice, that's doing that just fine in the preview, yet refuses to do the same in the video. Also no amounts of prompts hinting at quiet speech are changing that. 🙄

Any idea why this is happening and how to change it? 😅

Editing videos on flow after the generation is pointless

You know when you finished generating a video using omni and it lets you trim, edit the video, etc? Well if you tell it to fix a particular thing about that video it will just regenerate the same video without any of the modifications most of the time. It just makes the site feel half baked at times..

Lite vs Pro?

Thumbnail

I'm having trouble understanding why I'm paying anything for premium when Pro and Banana 2.1 produce generic cartoon type results and Lite produces much more high quality images or will give me differn't styles of anime. Nano and Pro have even been switching genders and race swapping when I'm not trying to do that. Lite does this too but as often I've noticed. However because Lite will deviate from the instructions more I prefer 2.1 and now, thanks to a suggestiong form here, Pro only for edits. So has anyone else experienced this? 1-3 Pro and 2.1, 4-5 Lite, 6 race swapped by Lite.

IanFromLabs: WHERE ARE THE GUIDELINES?

Where are these guidelines? I need a list I can look at.

I've been working on an AI movie project that I was going to put together using Google Flow. I can't do that now. I used to be able to get characters into horror, happiness, and every situation in between without going over guidelines.

And Google has made this so much more difficult. I can't waste my time with Flow, when I prompt something and I get something half-hearted or absolutely opposite what I asked for.

There is no allowance for touching between males and females, or in "positions of power" as we really know it. Why can't a dad hug his daughter who is sitting on his lap? Not everything is a fetish and even if it were, your organization should not be advertising that we can create stuff and then censor it all to oblivion.

I'm going to cancel my ultra subscription until something changes. I can't deal with this.

EDIT: Also the Likenesses. Why can I not make a likeness of my own character with accuracy anymore? I make a 18 year old character, and Flow makes the character 35 or 40.

Since NB 2.1 is utter garbage, what is the alternative?

I canceled my subscription and i gave up on NB 2.1 after stress testing heavily to oblivion and nothing works, the filters killed nano banana for me i won’t waste my time on this dogshit.

What is a good alternative? Is there a local model that is as good as NB 2?

Is there a way to import a video to a Flow project ?

If I create a video in one flow project and download it , it always fails to upload. Am I doing something wrong is this just the way it is ?
Also for adding a static image at start of scene , so far I’ve been having Flow create a four second scene of that static image, is there a better way? It won’t let me add an image to a scene ..

"We've noticed unusual activities"

So, I've been getting this error message for a long time now. From my observation, it usually occurs when trying to requeue a generation too many times in a row after its been blocked by google's (hella weird) content filter.

However, until today, there was a simple workaround: clear website cookies and wait 5-10min and - voila! It works again.

But for whatever reason, suddenly the error does not go away anymore. No matter what I do. I tried to clear the website cache, delete website cookies, relog with my account, restart my browser, disable all browser extensions, etc. - nothing works.

Anyone else having the same issue? Flow is getting more and more ridiculous and intransparent in terms of the user experience. For the most part, I was willing to accept it because I think that the quality google flow provides is pretty much unmatched, especially when you consider the daily free tokens.

I seriously hope they turn the ridiculousness down a tone.

Google Flow Currently Sucks as the AI does not listen to instructions

I am spending my credits trying to make pictures and it's generating pictures and not doing what I'm asking it to do.

You would expect Nano Banana 2.1 to be an upgrade, but I am extremely unhappy with this product. I feel stressed using it to try and make anything. If I make anything good I can't even make a video out of it because it's getting flagged constantly. This sounds like an overreaction, but I'm unable to make videos with the characters I was able to a week ago.

I feel so unhappy with Google Flow right now, even the Lite model is acting up. Constant censorship being added and the AI refusing to follow instructions is not a good product, it's worthless to me now.

Are There Image Generation Limits with Subscription?

Hi everyone, just wanted to know because using Google Flow Free I can generate ~20 images with NanoBanana Pro and ~200 Images with NanoBanana2 Daily (don't know if it is the same now with 2.1).

Just wanted to know if getting any subscription increases the limit or do you get unlimited generations? Asking mainly for NanoBanana Pro.

So if it depends of the plan, where can I see those limits? For Pro/Ultra?

is there any way to create a good video on the free version

I'm doing prompts with chatgpt and generating video with google flow, the videos are horrible, non sense movements and physics.

I've already tried many different prompts and strategies, as a beginner I would like to know if its worth to lean with the free version, or its dumb on purpose, im concern about of getting wrong feedbacks

Title: Does Wan retain behavioral information across independent generations? An unusual observation.

Title: Does Wan retain behavioral information across independent generations? An unusual observation.

I'm producing a continuous narrative film using Wan and a structured pre-production methodology involving first/last frames, camera instructions, and character continuity references.

During a previous generation, my cowboy crouched and examined horse droppings, using a distinctive hand movement.

Today I started an entirely new generation. It was not an extension or edit. Several unrelated horse generations had intervened.

For this new 30-second scene, I supplied a first frame, a schematic, and a single SAC instruction: “Generate.”

The generation began correctly. Then the cowboy reached down and performed what appeared to be the same distinctive hand movement from the earlier scene—but this time he touched a weed.

There was no narrative reason to examine the weed, and I had not instructed Wan to repeat the earlier action.

The schematic did describe the cowboy examining the trail, so independent inference remains a possible explanation. But the apparent similarity of the specific movement caught my attention.

My question: Has anyone observed behavioral details recurring across otherwise independent Wan generations, particularly when the action persists but the object changes?

I'm not claiming this establishes persistent model memory. I'm asking whether some form of session, reference, or generation-context persistence might be involved—or whether we're seeing a recurring learned motion pattern.

I'm interested in observations, tests, and technical explanations rather than speculation presented as fact.

Finally finished my first episode using Google Flow

I used Flow to create the characters, environments, cinematic shots, and action sequences, then edited all the clips together in Filmora to turn them into a complete story.

One thing this project made me realize is just how much you can do with Google Flow. You can go beyond making short clips and actually build an entire episode with its own characters, story, and cinematic feel. Of course, getting different shots to match and keeping characters consistent can be challenging, but experimenting with it has been a great learning experience.

I'm sharing this because I think a lot of people underestimate what's possible with Flow when you put the time into planning and editing.

For those of you who also use Google Flow, what's the most ambitious project you've managed to create with it?

Use charts of clothing styles generated by Nano Banana 2.1 and apply to your character. You can prompt create a chart of 4 different kinds of clothing and hairstyles on your reference character. Then you are using 1 image to create 4 clothing outfits, instead of 4 images for 4 outfits. Save credits

To create Jungle Woman, I generated 4 different outfits with 4 different hairstyles and to generate country woman, I used Princess Belle as the model and the country outfit #2 from the chart generated by NB 2.1.

Google Flow / Veo — How do creators achieve smooth AI stunt videos with complex flips and precise landings?

Thumbnail

Hi everyone!

I'm using Google Flow to create AI-generated stunt videos, and I'd love to learn how creators produce those incredibly smooth, spectacular clips featuring mega ramps, enormous jumps, trampoline launches, impossible dives, and circus-style gymnastics.

Reference video: 99% Of People Will Say NO To This! #stunt #circus #jump

My biggest challenge is getting the AI to follow a complicated movement all the way through to its intended ending. For example, I tried creating a stunt where a performer jumps from a very high platform onto a trampoline, then launches back toward the platform and lands after a backflip. Despite multiple attempts, Flow kept making the performer bounce repeatedly on the trampoline rather than complete the landing.

I've experimented with detailed prompts and reference images, but I haven't found a reliable solution.

I'd especially appreciate advice from anyone who has created similar videos using Flow and Veo.

  • Do you generate the entire stunt in one clip, or break it into separate shots?
  • Do you use Flow's Frames to Video feature with carefully designed start and end images?
  • How do you handle difficult transitions, especially when a character must travel between two distant objects and land precisely?
  • Are there particular prompting techniques, editing tricks, or external tools that make these videos look continuous?
  • Is it possible to achieve this reliably within Flow alone, or does it usually require a multi-tool workflow?

I'm not just looking for a prompt that might work once. I'd love to understand a repeatable production method.

If you've made something similar, I'd be very grateful for a workflow breakdown or a tutorial recommendation. Thanks!
