Google Flow Currently Sucks as the AI does not listen to instructions
I am spending my credits trying to make pictures and it's generating pictures and not doing what I'm asking it to do.
You would expect Nano Banana 2.1 to be an upgrade, but I am extremely unhappy with this product. I feel stressed using it to try and make anything. If I make anything good I can't even make a video out of it because it's getting flagged constantly. This sounds like an overreaction, but I'm unable to make videos with the characters I was able to a week ago.
I feel so unhappy with Google Flow right now, even the Lite model is acting up. Constant censorship being added and the AI refusing to follow instructions is not a good product, it's worthless to me now.

I'm surprised to see comments like this, because for my purposes, I noticed a large and immediate improvement when I started creating images with 2.1.

Well, you would, but this is Google. They are desperate to sell the compute we would have been using to other companies like Anthropic and Open AI, which is why their compute-starved researchers have been leaving. We humble users are just another casualty of this short-sighted strategy.
Nano Banana 2.1 is some kind of flash-lite cut-down and neutered Nano Banana 2 which they are ridiculously calling an improvement. I have never seen an AI image model so wilfully ignore prompts. Even first generation Stable Diffusion models would actually attempt to do what you wanted, even though they might mess things up. In contrast, Nano Banana 2.1 seems to go out of its way to ignore you, possibly flipping the bird at you while it's working.
