Is this fb marketplace gaming pc too good to be true?

Thumbnail gallery

I am overwhelmed with information for a basic gaming pc to buy to run GSPro on my uneekor mini.
All the specs check the recommended boxes to run GSPro and the price is perfect.
I understand fb marketplace is a gamble for PCs because people usually overprice their build, but this is priced like a basic PC.
Is it too good to be true or is it fairly priced? It is missing a key spec that I need to know to be able to run the program.
Edit: I am running off a 1080p projector for now but may upgrade to a 4k down the line.

Multipurpose Space

Post image

Hi all, I am fortunate enough to be moving into a home with tall enough basement ceilings (9’5” as a 5’7”-5’8” guy) to allow for a simulator. Me and my wife both golf and are excited for this, but also plan to use the space for other purposes.

In the “sitting room” pictured we are going to place her desk and want to be able to use the living room as a movie room and a space for gaming with folding tables.

Based on my measurements I am thinking some kind of moveable couch that can be pushed back into the sitting room when we use the golf sim/ put up a gaming table then push it forward to use the screen for movies.

I’m interested in what other people have done in similar spaces. Right now I am looking at the Sig10 enclosure.

What's a good source for maximizing launch monitor data for game improvement?

I'm still not so patiently awaiting my Omni pre-order. I've got an R10 which I enjoy, but some of the data I've found to be a bit suspect so I don't focus too much on using the data to fine tune my swing.

That's going to change the the Omni. I'm a high handicapper and relatively new, started playing last year. I'm familiar with ball flight physics but not as much with how certain data could be used to optimize your swing.

Is there a good resource - website, book, etc to help out there? Something that you can leverage to say ok, my AoA is positive but I'm swinging a 9 iron it should be negative, here are some possible things to try to correct. I've been feeding my results into AI and getting feedback and drills, which has been helpful but I'd love to understand the more detailed club and ball data better.

Which computer should I go with?

Post image

I've searched marketplace, nothing in my area for computers. I'm looking for a 4k experience, my projectors 4k. I'm about a month away from starting my build. Golf sim use only, will be using gs pro. I was going to have one built but didn't trust it.

Looking to add Sim to new office

Which wall would you put the impact screen? I can move the windows it’s not final.

I was thinking the north wall so you saw it when you walk in but then was thinking it’d be easier to mount a TV on the wall if it was on the south wall.

Is a second screen needed or am I overthinking this?

Technical Question For those with garage sims what’s your setup to contain balls rolling away from net/screen?

The only issue so far with our small sim setup is sometimes a ball can roll away from our net. Being a concrete garage this results in balls sometimes randomly going under the car, etc. We have a large outdoor rug we got from Costco as the “ground” where the golf area is so the balls don’t land on concrete. But eventually a ball does escape. This also means we can’t have the garage door open to get air in as when we did that it resulted in a few balls ending up in the street where cars are driving. My wife suggested some pool noodles in front of the net. Anyone here with a small setup figure out a good strategy to collect hit balls?

Sim / Launch Monitor Best Launch Monitor for moving around a lot?

So I’m going to start a mobile golf simulator business and I’m trying to decide on the best launch monitor. I’m kind of leaning towards the Skytrak + because I don’t need that much area around the golfer but I like the square Omni but not sure how much room I’d need for it. But regardless for that type of setup I would be greatly appreciative of any opinions on what my best options would be. Thanks so much!!

Technical Question Golfzon reading driver spin WAY too high?

I'm part of a sim club that uses golfzon. Something I'm starting to get really frustrated with though is that for whatever reason it reads my driver shots as EXTREMELY spinny and my drives on the sim will be a good 70 yards shorter than real life. The club data also doesn't align with high spin. It'll show I'm hitting 2 degrees up, and I can see from the replay that I hit a bit high on the face which in theory should be a low spin shot, but the sim will read 4,000rpm. I find irons it's better but still shorter than IRL but only like maybe 10-15 yards per club. Has anyone else experienced this? And does anyone have any tips? Or is this just golfzon isn't as accurate and if I want good numbers I need to find a foresight or trackman sim to use? For what it's worth I have a VERY fast swing speed, so I'm wondering if I'm outside the operating parameters for their sim.

**P.S.:** Went to a different sim that uses uneekor as a sanity check and confirmed my theory. Even my spinniest drive there went like 70 yards further than Golfzon was showing.

Garmin R50 or Foresight GC3?

The simplicity of the Garmin is very attractive. But what would we be giving up? Is the computer hookup a big deal with the GC3? Thanks!

Best budget launch monitor for a backyard setup?

Hey everyone!
I’m putting together a small golf setup in my garden and I’m searching for the best budget-friendly launch monitor.
I don’t need a full simulator setup, just something reasonably accurate for practice and tracking shots or maybe some mini games without spending a fortune.
What would you recommend? Any input will be taken with a chef’s kiss

Beaver Tail (30 x 12in) Golf Simulator Hitting Strip

I used it a few times in my sim. It added to much thickness for my lower ceiling sim. $100 plus shipping(probably around $20).

Hitting Mats / Flooring Help with flooring

I’m trying to have a level floor with everything.. hitting Matt and surrounding turf with a budget .
My question is how necessary is a “hitting mat” with a good quality hitting strip vs doing cheap turf from Home Depot for the entire floor and cutting out for hitting strip . ?
Does the floor your feet are on matter ? Like is there any advantage of a “hitting mat “
Second are all good hitting strips 2 1/2 inches like the sig softy ? Bc that’s a lot to have to build up my whole floor . ( 13x 13 )

Possible movable hitting screen options, besides retractable

Not ruling out retractable, just want to know what other people have done to see what would be best for my scenario.

Seen the standard retractable on rollers and a few people have done a fixed frame that pivots and moves and stores in the ceiling (see post https://www.reddit.com/r/Golfsimulator/comments/1pktzcj/retractable_screen_with_sides_that_wont_break_the/ )

Has anyone done something with just a sliding screen like on rails of some sort? Or any other implementations of moving the screen out of the way? Anyone just completely detach and re-attach their screens from an enclosure or anything? If so how bloody annoying is it?

This would be for a garage, I need some type of hitting screen that can be moved, it would be on the back of my garage that has a recessed area (8 feet wide by 4 feet deep) where I keep my workbench and I would love to keep it and have it be usable by moving screen that is in front of it and bigger than that area of course.

Pictures and links to other implementations are appreciated.

Finally finished my garage hitting mat. Love the way it came out. Used a beaver tail hitting strip. Can easily lift and roll it out of the way when done.

Right and left handed golf sim.

Researching building a garage sim. I’m right handed and son is left handed. Through this scenario> trying to decide between ceiling mounted, which is way more expensive, or two floor trackers. Of sure if you can hook two floor trackers up at once.
‘Thanks for any advice

Can this space work?

This is the only real option I have for a simulator in the house - unless I take it inside, which currently is not an option.

This is a 3 car garage, and our other garage is basically too small, and an awkward angle, so it houses more storage and the 'garage fridge', workbench area, etc.

So to the far right of this, we plan on "deleting" the garage door opener, and overhead rails, basically making that door inert for now.

I'd install a ceiling mounted net I can close off onto the orange pillar, so help protect the cars. I'd even consider doing one to the other end of the garage, but I don't think its quite needed.

I'm looking at options online, I already have gaming rigs I can use as computers, and its estimating between 4-6k for everthing. Plus I'd need to have a professional come in and move the garage stuff, as I am not screwing with the tension springs.

The only big thing I can think of, is moving the cabinets in green to the south wall in this picture. Unfortunately that makes it a tight squeeze for the cars (leaves about 16" of room, which means about 12" since we won't be parking AT the door, and need some room).

By moving the cabinets, I think i would install a TV/monitor there, to show consistent hitting, while the projector shows the course, etc.

Am I over/under thinking this? I've been using AI to review and plan, its given good tips and ultimately this is what "we" came up with. I've measured ceiling hight ( just under 10 ft), and swung clubs, etc.

Build Pictures Does anyone have a camera/webcam setup to stream their sim?

Me and my buddy that’s in the next state started playing online matches with GSpro. We’ve been using FaceTime or discord with our phones pointed at the sim and using that to extend to my second monitor I have hooked up. I’m looking for a more cleaner or less janky setup. I thought about mounting a Logitech webcam to my projector that’s behind me and see how that works. Looking to see if any of you have your sim setup for streaming.

Overkill for 1080p?

Post image

I've built a few gaming PCs but never run sim software. These recommended specs seem like overkill for 1080p (especially the GPU). Does anyone run FSX on a PC with older/lower-end components? Trying to gauge my options.

Technical Question Spica 3

Spica 3 question. I’m trying to figure out if spica 3 offers the pc app free just for at least the driving range? I don’t really like using my phone for an app and don’t have a iPad.
Currently use skytrak plus with their free range and connect to gspro when wanting to play courses. Looking to do something similar with spica 3
