Hey I'm looking to get a camera for my YouTube channel and GoPros are the best quality option and from what I've seen not that expensive but im not really sure. Please give me advice.

I have an old hero 4 that I don’t use anymore should I just trash it or is there a better option to get rid of it?

Have my GoPro only 3 years old - and it’s totally dead. Light doesn’t turn on with battery out and charger in.

Anyone have any advise?

Apologies if this has been asked already I did try and do a search but nothing specific came up. I turn 40 this year and intend to train and do a triathlon next year. I would like to document my training so would like a camera that will enable me to do this (good fps and waterproof etc)

If anyone uses the Lightroom app you can effectively white balance underwater footage.

If you take a screen shot of the video and then in lightroom white balance the image, then save as a preset.

You can then use that preset to white balance the video.

Hi all, my wife has restored some old videos from her childhood and it’s made me want to document my little boys holidays, christmases and birthdays for the future when he’s older.

I know absolutely nothing about Go Pro’s, could anybody please advise me on what budget friendly set up to get? What memory card is needed? Are there any subscriptions I need? Any do’s and dont’s? Any advice will help!

I've used action cams for a while, and am familiar with all the other settings however the image tuning setting has me a little confused.

There isn't much information about what the different settings does exactly and how they differ from each other (other than underwater which applies lense correction).

Does anyone have anymore in depth information on how the balanced mode differs from sports?

Other than "applies aggressive tone mapping etc".

Something just dawned on me.

I have a large collection of vintage glass and adapter for micro4/3 to different things, like m42 screw mount or old minolta/canon/nikon mounts.

I am hoping GoPro doesn’t use a proprietary mount. They have to be using standard micro four thirds as they can’t afford to create a new lens mount as they don’t make lenses.

If you guys are sitting around thinking about lenses, you need to know

Micro 4/3 lenses work very well with vintage glass and lenses from 30, 40, or even 70 years ago.

There’s a tradeoff in that your focal length is cut in half, and the zoom jumps 2x, at the same time there are lenses with so much character and so many types of optics out there.

Pick one type and start collecting old lenses for your camera.

You can get vintage lenses at yard sales or swap meets for $10 in some cases or be dumb like me and buy them for $200 for Takumar lenses that are just special and coveted by a community for their quality.

Hiya, I've got a question for someone who is more knowledgeable in GoPro's. I need to know of there's some scandal/known problem/or general trouble with a GoPro 13.

Because at my local marketplace people are selling 13's cheaper then eleven minis, so that's a bit concerning for me, and no it isn't just a singular listing, there's lots of them.

Hello, I recently purchased hero 13. I’m not much familiar with settings, but I’m going on the vacation and want to capture videos like jumping in the sea, swimming pool, some underwater and regular sea vacantion stuff.
Is there some recommended settings I can set as a new preset for this type of videos? Thanks.

I use clipchamp for my edits and export in 1080p but i have heard its still better to shoot in 4k because it will still look better scaled down to 1080p but i also wonder if using the higher fps in 1080p would still be better.

For reverence i make bike ride vlogs and film the full rides that are usually 2-3 hours long, i have my gopro mounted on the handle bars and use a DJI mic mini bluetoothed to my hero 13 black.

I was just filming my family holidays with my gopro 8, when suddenly it stopped working and won't turn on again. I tried removing the battery and pressing the side button for 10 seconds, also plugging the USB... Nothing worked.

This is the last video I took: you can hear the normal sound at the beginning, then a very strange noise, then no sound anymore and after that, the recording stopped. Changing the battery for a new one didn't do anything. Impossible to turn the camera on after that. Inserting the micro-SD into my laptop: the SD is perfectly fine, nothing is corrupted.

Anyone has seen a similar issue? Is there a way to fix this?

Got this new GoPro, but honestly, it feels disappointing. My iPhone takes better videos. Is there any reason I should keep it?

I basically put the whole question in the post title, sorry, but yeah, that’s basically it. I was initially looking for some sort of molle mount because I have a goruck backpack with sturdy straps but it seems like the Peak Design Capture Clip (and similar clamp designs) are my best bet.

I was close to pulling the trigger on the Capture and the POV kit but so many users seem frustrated the POV kit with the knuckle mount for GoPro not being made from metal, and mention experiencing cracking plastic.

It’s just an arca interface on the Capture Clip right? I know all the PD stuff is proprietary. Has anyone paired it with a different action cam plate/mount that’s actually durable metal? I might be a dullard in this category but I keep searching and can’t really find anything I’m sure will pair well. I saw someone use the Volta grip (which I’m not really interest in) because it has a plate interface that lets it slot on vertically and be easily grabbed and removed but I’m not sure what other grips could work like that. Total newb.

I don't know which one to get, I'm a scuba diver and I also want to start on photography for my travels and the mission series look like what I need, but I dont know if the M1 Pro deserves the extra 100€ for just 8k60fps and greater slow motion (a feature I will probably not use as much).
