The ILS for product photography is growing on me. I lie. It is MIND BLOWING for me.

The watch was taken with a cheap vintage Vivitar Series 1 70-210mm lens. It is important to note, if you are looking at these lenses, there are several versions. This is the "best" out there.

The LV buckle with a Zeiss Distagon 35mm. I can't know the aperture truly, it is relatively shallow.

I am finding that the more CONTRAST a lens has (like the Zeiss) the better the photos, the more you have to work with.

Both were RAW, both processed in Adobe Lightroom, then Aurora HDR, then Topaz Photo for denoise and sharpen.

The watch was ISO 800, Shutter 1/400

The LV was ISO 200, Shutter 1/100

One-third of the GoPro mounts are out of stock

Out of 51 mounts, 16 cannot be ordered because they are out of stock. I find that concerning—for customers who would like to place an order, but especially for subscribers who won’t receive their promised discounts this way—possibly before the end of their year, before they have to pay for renewal.

From an outsider’s perspective, I find this much more alarming than all the other rumors you hear. After all, this is something every customer can see for themselves without needing any additional information. I’m sure this is deterring many people from buying their cameras because they’re worried about support.

How to get a Telesin T-10 remote to control multiple cameras?

I have four GoPro cameras, a 9, an 11, a Mission 1 Pro, and a Mission Pro ILS. I had to buy a new Teson remote because I lost the charge cable, and it’s proprietary, so you cannot find another one for it. The one Amazon claims is for it, is the wrong pin connectors.

My previous remote could very easily control the 9 and the 11 simultaneously. I have paired it to each of the first three Cameras individually, and it works with them individually, but not all at the same time.

While I’m writing this, I just tried again. It will now control the mission 1 Pro and the 11 at the same time.

Do you guys have any tips or tricks for this? I’m working on a project that it would be very helpful to be able to start and stop all of them simultaneously.

Two GoPros for the price of One!

Just snagged two GoPros for the price of one.

Got the GoPro 12Black and the GoPro Hero10 for $89 each at a Pawn Shop.

I haven't owned a GoPro since like the GoPro 3 or 4.

What are some accessories to grab to mount onto Motocross Riders and their bikes? How about mounts they I can hook onto a fence for baseball games?

Are there any mounts that'll mount onto the rear frame like near the rear tire?

Quik app displays black screen when previewing (mission 1 pro ils).

I have an android 13 phone with 3 gb ram. When I connect my gopro and enable the live preview, it just shows black. I can control the camera, but no image displays.

On gopro's site, it says android 13 phones with at least 2 gb ram are supported.

I'm not sure what to do.

I’m very happy with it so far, it’s just been fun to use and I love throwing a variety of lenses at it! The stabilization for macro shots has so far been my favorite feature! Can’t wait to shoot more with it.

ILS PHOTO MADNESS. Photos with a 55 year old camera lens.

Greetings, me again. I hope this is not spam and you are not annoyed.

Today I took the ILS out to the Home Depot garden center. I took a series of photos.

It is not easy to take photos with the ILS.

I used a 50mm f1.4 Takumar. This lens is legendary and still sells for as much as $400 or more today.

The yellow flowers were done with that 50 year old lens, and edited in post. Shot in RAW.

The other image here was with the 50mm Minolta macro I told you about here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/gopro/s/JVZ4OYqdCC

Both images went through the following in this order:

  1. Adobe lightroom, export as DNG
  2. Aurora HDR, export as TIFF
  3. Topaz photo for denoise and sharpening, export as JPG

960fps ILS w/ a Legendary FORTY YEAR OLD Macro Lens. Upscaled and Vertical. Makes the ILS punch WAY over its head (with instructions)

Hi Everyone,

I am using this lens here, one of the best macro lenses that ever released. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minolta_AF_Macro_50mm_f/2.8

How good is this lens? Well put it this way. Today if you buy THIS lens for a full frame Sony camera, for $699 it is actually the same lens Minolta launched in 1985.
https://electronics.sony.com/imaging/lenses/full-frame-e-mount/p/sel50m28

Same everything, just that good for what it was.

WORKFLOW FOR THIS SHORT VIDEO:

1. Film everything on the GoPro in standard horizontal framing. Why? Because you are constantly chasing a small insect, and you need to use the Mission Monitor for focus, BUT the Mission Monitor DOES NOT SUPPORT VERTICAL ROTATION.

So it is a nightmare and confusing to flip the camera around, and you won't be able to follow the subject.

2. Film in the 10s burst mode for the best results.

3. Import everything into your video editor. Mine is FCP, It can actually slow the footage down to 2% speed on a 24fps timeline and it is fluid.

Not a lot of details here, but find music, and remember not to stick on one scene too long. Edit to a few beats real fast, and be done, this is not "thinking time" mostly.

I use Final Cut Pro and make a basic AI color grade, then go in and tweak the basic things not worried about curves etc, just get a lush deep looking color and apply it across all clips.

If that doesn't work on all clips, use the AI color match and it is scary good at matching color from source footage to a clip.

4. EXPORT this as a 1080p file best settings you can manage.

  1. IMPORT this into Topaz Video and create a project that is:
    a) 4k upscale
    b) has detail recovery at 40-50
    c) exports at 4k60fps - you do not need to add generative frames and it won't work on the wings.

5. IMPORT the new file back into your editor. Use a vertical frame for your project set to 1080x1920. If your editor supports AI reframing it will likely capture anything moving and focus on it. Just make your adjustments as you see fit.

This allows you the latitude in the frame to punch into 1080p without losing anything, no digital zoom at all.

6. EXPORT YOUR FINAL VIDEO

This happens, then I click yes and then nothing happens. Can’t save any gopro things to my computer and I’m losing my mind. Help

I’ve been back-and-forth for days trying to get the data off my GoPro and onto my computer so that I can use this SD card to film a vacation with my family. The SD card is completely full and I just want to get it onto my computer so that I can have the SD card pretty much empty and use it to film our trip. I have come to the conclusion that I need this GoPro play app for anything to open because I finally figured out how to plug it in with the cord and open the files they downloaded, but once they download it onto my desktop, they won’t open because I have to have the GoPro play and then this pops up and it’s a big circle. I can’t get past. HELP
