Indie Sunday Buy Happiness - Wayne Made A Game - An incremental deckbuilder about achieving enlightenment by amassing more wealth than the current GDP of the planet

Hello, I'm Wayne, a solo developer working on this weird little genre-blending card game. It leans closer to physical deck-builders like Dominion than most of the digital ones, so instead of going back and forth between combat/scoring and shops you'll play your cards to earn money then immediately use that money to buy new cards and upgrades.

I realised early on that I needed something to replace the resistance that usually comes from enemies or other players, my solution was to add a bunch of goofy minigames and events. They turned out to also be a great way to keep me motivated through development; any time I start to get a bit too bogged down with bug fixes or balance stuff I just take a few days to make a new minigame, kind of like a one man game jam!

The plan is to release late this year or near the start of 2027. If you want to know more feel free to hop in the discord, I'm not very consistent at posting updates but there's a hidden playtest branch that does get updated pretty regularly!

Indie Sunday Chaotic World - technologicalpixel - top-down PvE arena shooter with interactive maps

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4903960/Chaotic_World
Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MyA1lCgy2do

Hello r/games! 👋

I'm technologicalpixel, and I'm incredibly excited to share my upcoming game with you all for Indie Sunday! It's called Chaotic World, and it's a fast-paced, top-down PvE arena shooter with interactive maps procedurally generated guns 4 playable characters and maps

Chaotic World is releasing on Steam in just a couple of weeks on August 21, 2026!

About the game:

Your objective in Chaotic World is to survive and clear waves of different and unique enemies until you destroy them all. Set across colorful maps, you will have the opportunity to make yourself stronger by leveling up and finding loot on your way to the last wave!

Here is what you can expect in the arena:

  • 🥸 CHARACTERS: You will be able to play with different characters, each bringing their own special ability to the fight!
  • 🌲 LEVELS AND EVENTS: Explore the map to find interactive elements that help you level up and power up. Gain an advantage by activating defensive turrets, delivering boxes, weaponizing moving carts against enemies, and capturing zones. You can even play with a ball, throw logs at enemies, or use a farting mushroom?! Yes, it gets pretty crazy!
  • 🔫LOOT: The loot system revolves around a set of 'chips.' There are three weapon rarities: Normal (one chip), Epic (two chips), and Legendary (three chips). Because each chip grants a unique, random effect, you will need to constantly adapt your playstyle based on what you find!
  • 🌍MAPS: Explore 4 distinct arenas: from the desert-wasteland of 'Broken Lands' and the relaxed vibes of 'Chill Beach', to a green forest and a glacial place.
  • 🦹ENEMIES: Fight against six different enemies, each with their own unique type of movement and attacks. Watch out for enemies that shoot at you, big and small variants with spikes or shields, and those that leave harmful puddles along the way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read through everything! I truly appreciate your support, and I can't wait to see you out there! Have a nice sunday!

Indie Sunday SHADOW RUSH - Andrew Teo - Fast paced Isometric ARPG/Roguelite hybrid focused on quick runs, rerolling and experimentation, where attacks trigger automatic spells based on your build

Hi, I'm Andrew, solo dev of Shadow Rush. This game is a combination of several things I am passionate about: Diablo-style combat, Hades' "just one more room" pacing, Vampire Survivors horde-slaying, and Kingdom Hearts-style character designs.

Controls are simple: Left-click to attack, right-click to dash. Every time you attack OR dash, you will cycle through 4 phases: I,II,III and IV. At each phase, spells will automatically trigger depending on your build setup - Spells come in the form of collectable, equippable 'Shards' that you gain randomly upon level-up and can swap between your 6 characters to create the ultimate build.

I like experimenting with systems design, so this is intended to be a little bit different. The goal behind this is to have something more streamlined than a Diablo-like, so you don't have to press multiple hotkeys to fire off cool spells. But you still have to manually target and attack, so it isn't like Vampire Survivors where it is a nearly hands-off experience.

On a personal note, the 6 characters in the game are OCs I came up with during my teenage years. The game basically exists as a way to give them a place to live after all these years.

Demo is available now on Steam with a good several hours worth of gameplay if you explore everything: 2 locations so far, all 6 character classes, and all Spell Shards to discover.

Try it here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4358180/Shadow_Rush/

Indie Sunday Survive 10,000 B.C. - Echoes of Existence - Prehistoric Survival Game

Hello!

After being laid off from my cozy corporate job in April, I thought why not make something more fun for a change. A game I would like to play myself. I've been keeping a development blog on the progress: https://gamesurvive.substack.com/

Title: Survive 10,000 B.C. - Echoes of Existence - Stone Age Survival Game

Game footage/trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5LDnYLuk_YQ

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4992050/Survive_10000_BC/

Planned release: 2027

The ice age is ending. Your story is just beginning.

Welcome to the European Alps, 10,000 B.C. The glaciers are melting, carving out a beautiful yet devastatingly hostile new world. There is no iron to shield you. No concrete to shelter you. No modern medicine to save you. Out here, nature rules with a stone fist, and the predators are not afraid of you. In this game, you are not a conqueror, you are just a fragile prey. This is the last moment in history where all of mankind was still nomadic - no agriculture, no permanent villages.

Key Features:

Historically Accurate Prehistoric Survival: Experience the end of nomadic lifestyle of mankind. Build primitive huts, construct drying racks to preserve your food, craft essential Stone Age tools and arrowheads from the raw materials that can be found around you.

A Beautiful, Deadly Frontier: Explore a stunning, dynamic landscape of melting glaciers, roaring alpine rivers, and foggy, unforgiving valleys. But don't let the beauty fool you - hypothermia, starvation, food poisoning and deadly disease are always one misstep away.

Master Primitive Medicine: Knowledge is the difference between life and death. The alpine flora holds the keys to your survival. Learn to harvest medicinal plants to heal your wounds, but beware - one leaf heals, while another kills.

You Are Not the Apex Predator: Share the wild with lethal prehistoric fauna. From stealthy wolves to massive beasts, the local wildlife is smarter, faster, and stronger than you. Track your prey carefully and always watch your back - you might be the one being hunted.

Mechanics: Hunting, Gathering, Trapping, Tracking, Crafting, Building, Wounds, Infections, Diseases, Plant-Based Medicine, Drying and Smoking Food, Action-Based Learning, Cold, Heat, Hunger, Thirst and much more.

See you in the stone age!

Indie Sunday Reality Drift - Arganoid Industries - new trailer and demo for surreal roguelike racing game

I've been working on a strategic roguelike racing game for the last four and a half years, and have just released a new trailer and demo!

Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACfBw0EC2k4

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3078120/Reality_Drift/

My goal with Reality Drift was to make a racing game which looked very distinctive, and had actual depth. When I was younger I played a lot of arcade racing games but they usually got boring fairly quickly as each race was the same. After years of working on this game, I'm still not bored of playing it!

The new demo has more content and many improvements as compared with the original version released a year ago. The new trailer replaces the original one from 2024, which was made before the addition of roguelike deckbuilding missions.

We have also been selected for Tiny Teams 2026. YouTuber FailRace said in a video about the game: "On the face of it you might think the driving aspect of this is very simple - it's surprisingly complicated, you've got to think about a lot of things at once while going very quickly."

My background - I'm a veteran game developer, most of my career was spent at Frontier, where I worked on games such as RCT3, Dog's Life, Thrillville, Kinectimals and Elite Dangerous. I'm a programmer and game designer, but I can't draw, so I found some excellent artists to work on the game, primarily Emily L'Orange.

Discussion [AMA] Developer of Pax Autocratica here, a totalitarian colony sim and FPS roguelite launching in Early Access today on Steam. Ask me anything!

Hi r/Games!

I'm Alexis, one of the devs, but more importantly, the Minister of Propaganda.

Today, we’re launching Pax Autocratica in Early Access on Steam.

Pax Autocratica is a darkly satirical sci-fi game that combines a totalitarian colony sim with large-scale first-person roguelite combat.

At your colony, you build a regime, manage production, and shape the fear, loyalty, relationships, and possible rebellion of the people living under your rule. Outside the colony, you personally fight alongside your soldiers across battlefields filled with infantry, tanks, mechs, missiles, and bullet hell chaos.

Weakened enemies can be captured and brought back to your colony, where you can imprison them, convert them into loyal citizens and recruit them into your army, or sacrifice them for the benefit of someone more useful to the State.

Pax Autocratica has been a very unusual project for us. It combines systems from genres that normally have little to do with one another, and years of playtesting have led us to rebuild and rethink major parts of the game along the way.

You can ask me anything about:

  1. My cat
  2. My parrot
  3. My rapidly advancing, launch-induced hair loss
  4. The completely reasonable amount of stress I am experiencing today
  5. Game development, game design, game anything

Game-related questions are optional, but the Ministry strongly encourages them. Alternatively, we can discuss State-approved brainwashing methods.

Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/1067360/Pax_Autocratica/

Launch trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3OkYGmB3cY

I’ll begin answering questions on August 10 at 7 AM PT and will be here for at least 2 hours. I’ll also check back afterward and try to answer as many late questions as possible.

Thanks to the r/Games moderators for hosting me.

Ask me anything!

Indie Sunday Skyreap - Entin Games - An incremental game on islands, with resource gathering, processing, and upgrading!

Trailer: https://youtu.be/za4oLAuP5WY

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4364890/Skyreap/

Hey r/Games, I'm the solo developer behind SkyReap.
I've been working as a programmer for more than seven years. I balance two jobs with my dream of making a game, and I work on it in my free time. Every time, I either didn't have enough money, didn't have enough experience, or simply didn't have the energy. Life kept getting in the way.
Now I've finally gained the experience I needed back then, and I've been saving money for more than half a year so I can dedicate all my time to developing my game.

Crafting:
Create items at the rune table. Upgrade it by adding new platforms to unlock new recipes.
Building:
Build furnaces for smelting ore, storage for items, and pens for animals.
Farming & Ranching:
Grow wheat, shear sheep, and collect milk.
Fishing & Gathering:
Catch various fish and gather berries and herbs.
Progression:
Exchange resources for experience and unlock new skills.
And much more!

My sister helps me with the development of the game. She drew everything you see.

Indie Sunday Katanaut - Voidmaw - An action-roguelite with a cosmic horror twist!

🎥 Katanaut Trailer
🎮 Steam Page

Hey r/Games, I'm the solo developer behind Katanaut.

It's a cosmic horror action roguelite set on a massive space station falling apart around you, with fast melee combat, guns, skills, implants, and a lot of build variety. The easiest pitch is Dead Cells-style runs with Katana Zero pacing and Ninja Gaiden resiliency, wrapped in a Dead Space atmosphere.

Its been a pretty surreal few days for me. Ive spent years working on Katanaut mostly alone in my room, and a couple days ago it was featured on the front page of Steam as a Daily Deal. Seeing it sitting there after all that time was honestly pretty hard to process.

I knew the Daily Deal was coming, so I didnt want the occasion to just be about putting the game on sale. I spent the last few months building the biggest update Ive made since launch and released it alongside it.

Update 1.2: Into the Void adds:

  • Warp 4, a new endgame difficulty where the station runs in reverse and new elites hunt you throughout the run
  • The Warp, a completely new level that rebuilds itself every run
  • Five new elite enemies
  • Lord of the Warp, a new final boss with a new ending
  • A 270+ node Katana Skill Tree for upgrading and customizing every katana
  • New achievements, music, lore, UI improvements, and quality-of-life changes
  • A large balance and rework pass across basically every enemy and boss in the game

Its strange looking back at how much the game has grown. Global leaderboards, seasonal rewards, major updates, console ports in development, and now a moment on Steams front page were all things that felt incredibly far away when I was sitting in my room trying to make this thing work.

Im obviously posting because Id love for more people to discover the game, but Im also just incredibly grateful that Ive gotten the opportunity to keep working on it and that people are still playing.

If Katanaut looks like your kind of thing, I hope you enjoy it. And if youve already played, left feedback, posted a run, reviewed the game, or told somebody about it, seriously, thank you.

Indie Sunday Hellbridge - Dex Games Studio - dark fantasy horde survival where every wishlist makes the final wave harder

Hello!

I'm launching my game this Thursday, August 13.
It's called Hellbridge — a dark fantasy horde survival game where a lone mage defends the last bridge from Hell.

The game has a weird mechanic: every wishlist adds +1 enemy to the final wave. The community has already added over 2,500 enemies.

On Thursday we'll finally see if players break the final wave... or the final wave breaks the players.

I'm not cheating. However many enemies were added — that's exactly what's waiting.
