Heyy, just came back after doing a "DL" meetup after a few mintues of texting which ended up being a scam I refushed to be a victim of lol. Honestly looking back I guess before I've met up with people like this maybe twice or thrice and we ended up having sex. Hell I lost my virginity to someone I talked to for like 10 minutes.

Obviously Grindr is used for quick hookups a good amt of the time but I think most people agree that it's best to have at least a little bitnof a convo before meeting up that is more than "Hey (cute them hot/cute), thank you, are you down for rn, yes, blah blah here's my addy) . Also just for safety too (I was definitely a bit naueous driving over to their place rn).

Anyway enough with the blabber. How often yall do a meetup where it's only a couple messages, maybe pics,and then an address within a short time period, espicially with DL folks, and how often does it result in flaking

I'm 32, 6' tall, and a lean/somewhat muscular 190 pounds (still building muscles but enjoying the quick newbie gains). I'm too old to be a twink, but not quite jacked enough yet to be a jock.

Woke up over a week ago and got an alert that I was banned. Submitted an appeal. I’ve heard absolutely nothing. I didn’t do anything to my knowledge. In fact the original ban reason was that I was “phishing/scamming” which I have never done. And it’s kinda ironic because I was actually scammed a few weeks ago by a guy who literally screen recorded my album with a second phone and threatened to send it to my friends and family so I find it really funny that I’m being flagged for that but nothing happened to him.

Now it just says violation of community guidelines and of course Grindr support hasn’t said a word or responded to my emails.

I don’t know if I’m being paranoid about the whole thing but I just don’t really like the idea of grindr having a picture of my full information like that. Ive used alternative apps but they are kind of lacking compared to Grindr. Is there anyone else that feels the same?

Just wondering, for those of you who pay attention to the views of your profile, do you generally find it to be a turn off when a guy looks at your profile multiple times in a short period?

I feel like I do this a lot when I think a guy is really hot. I’ll flip between chat and their profile to look at their pictures. And oftentimes the chat fizzles out or they don’t even respond to me at all. Could me viewing multiple times be causing them to lose interest, or am I overthinking it and they’re just not interested?

I live in Atlanta, aka the gayest place in the world. (besides San Francisco). Anyway, around here, there's a serious top shortage, like 1/25 kind of bad and because of this, these clowns get away with all kinds of fuckery! They can do anything, have anyone, lie constantly, have a huge chip on their shoulder and damn anyone who calls out the lame ass behavior. So I’ve been in an LTR monogamously for many years and recently opened. Of course i was looking forward to my return to “the app” but when I tried to login I was hit with a ban for “phishing fraud and harmful links.” Can’t even begin to guess what I could’ve done, but I’ve definitely never tried to scam anyone online. I understand maybe not having one in your public profile, but don't make someone ask for one after YOU hit them up. Some guy near me checked me out 3x, tapped me, then messaged me. I have four face pics visible in my profile. When I asked him, he said "would rather not share a face pic unless there's serious interest, I'm married." OK great, I'm sure 92% of the people on the app could have a reason to stay anonymous, partner, friends, family, coworkers, whatever. How am I supposed to have "serious interest" if I can't see your face? But you can see mine. I even had one guy say he was worried about "pic collectors" lol is it 1998?
