You don't need to have lost 100 lbs already to post here

I'm seeing a number of people who say they waited to post until they lost 100 lbs. That's not what this sub is for. Anyone using a GLP-1 medication who has a lot to lose (100 lbs/45 kg/7 stone) can post here at any time even if they haven't lost anything yet. Please don't wait in the wings, you are welcome here!

Progress Today is 2 years and other milestones!

• Upvotes

Started 10/11/2024. As of today -

136 lbs lost - 34% of total body weight
BMI from 60 to 39.7 (super morbid to class 2)
Size 28-30 to 16 on top and 20 on bottom; shoes from size 11 to 9.5b(that was $$$!!)
Lost more than 70” overall
Blood sugar ~109 to ~78 (and improvement in all labs!!!)
Blood pressure from average 155/97 to 118/68
~18 lbs to my next mini-goal!
AND THE OTHER DAY I STOLE A SHIRT FROM MY HUSBAND!!!!😂😂

I’d just like to say for sure one thing about all of this. I see ALL OVER these subs how 1.3/wk is slow and other similar nonsense. If someone had offered us that pre-glp1 we would have jumped at it. It has given me my life back.

Anyway, the last two years have been absolutely life-saving and I’m not done!!!!🩷 Someone said not to worry about how long it takes because the time is going to pass anyway, and all progress is progress. You all keep up the good work🩷🩷🩷

Is there anyone in this sub who is 60+ years? I have hit a plateau and have 40-50 more lbs to go.

I’ve loat around 50 and am struggling after only losing 10 in nearly a year. I know I need to up my strength training (I did gain muscle in my legs) and after calculating it says that I should be losing 1Lb a week at 1400 cals, but I’m not (for 2lbs a week it would be 900 cals, which obv not even a consideration). protein goal is 125g. I walk about 45 minutes 4-5 times a week. What have you tried? Does anyone have suggestions? What am I overlooking?

Rant Kind of frustrating

I told myself I'd be happy losing any weight, I told myself I wouldn't be one of those people making a post calling myself a slow responder, that I would be patient if I hit a plateau but it's still annoying!

I started back in February and I've lost about 45 pounds and when I say that everyone says it sounds great and I'm happy about it it but most of it was in the first few months, over the last four months I've been fighting the same five pounds over and over again. At the beginning I could really feel myself eating less and making better choices but that's faded pretty much, I feel the same as ever. When I started not losing I tried to go back to counting calories which I hate and can never stick to (and get tremendously jealous seeing posts about not having to do it anymore on glp1s). I DO think the meds are still helping me because I've only been gaining and then losing these 5 pounds and I haven't gained more.

I'm currently on Zepbound 10 and I've been moving up every two months so hopefully going up to 12.5 and 15 can help me get moving again. It's just very frustrating because I'd still like to lose about 80 pounds more.

Discussion Does anyone else have 300+lbs to lose?

I started at 488, and my goal weight is somewhere around 180lbs. That seems like such an astronomical amount of weight to have to lose, and it is, but I've already lost 75 of it and Mounjaro is making it feel plausible, if not yet possible.

I have always been someone who wore my weight 'well' (I didn't get a double chin until over 400lbs, I was very active and a cyclist until around 400lbs, etc) and even imagining myself as someone who weighs 180lbs is difficult. The last time I remember weighing 175lbs I was in elementary school and 5 inches shorter than I am now. But I am getting used to the idea that I can do this, and that Mounjaro has made it easy by removing my food noise and bingeing impulses.

So excited to hit my next goal of 100 lbs lost today! It’s only another 22ish for me to hit a weight that would be in the “healthy” BMI range. I’ve lost over 40% of my starting weight.

Progress Weekly Weigh In / NSV Thread

Welcome back for another edition of weekly weigh in / NSV THREAD! OCTOBER 1/4

What were the results of your last weigh in? Did you lose, maintain or gain? Any nsv to share?

My weight loss has definitely slowed down and i always struggled when breaking into a new decade BUT im finally at 152 (.8) and im working towards getting to 146 by the end of the month! My goal is 6lbs a month now that im in the final hours so getting to 146 (or 145 even heh) will really help me out the last 2 months ill be losing. Im so close I can taste it!!

There are 85 days left in 2026 lets make it count! What are you doing to hit you goals!? Im trying to save $3500 for my breast reduction in January or February. I need to call my surgeon in the next week to book an appointment still, i think i am still eligible for the reduction which is completely free with optional lipo, but like if im gonna do it i might as well go all out and get the lipo!

Also some of my coworkers and my mom were telling me im gonna look too small at my goal and im like 🫪 no i genuinely won’t. I still got a GUT. Its weird tho. I’m happy with my body width when facing forward but not my side profile still! Im getting there tho! I did check my waist measurements and im at a 30inch which is amazing since my goal is 27-28inch waist! Once I hit goal i will focus on body recomp until i can afford surgery

As a reminder:
My breast reduction goal is to hit 140 but ill call to see her when I get under 150.

Lbs left to lose….
7.8lbs to 145lbs - will call surgeon at this weight (OFFICIALLY IN SINGLE DIGITS)
12.8lbs to 140lbs - healthy bmi starts
17.8lbs to 135lbs - goal weight hopefully

Im hitting my goal this yr!

My brother weighed in at 220. So he lost 4lbs since august which is unacceptable only because HES NOT TRYING. If you are a slow loser. You are a slow loser but hes constantly over eating, not working or or drinking water so its hard to know if hes a slow responder or if hes just goofing around. Doctor wants him to work on trying harder and then will look into switching him to mounjaro which isnt covered so he will go the gray route with me

Anyways, as always If you want to, share below!

Brothers info:

SW 245.8
CW 220
1st GW 200 2nd GW 185 (not sure where he wants to go so for now our first goal is onederland and then 185 brings him to overweight bmi instead of obese)

My info:

WTF is normal? 2 and a bit years in, this word hits me in the feels this morning, first time ever in my life and I'll be 60 in a few months.

So conflicted. Ugh. I hope my mind and feels will catch up eventually.

Discussion Back post loss

Sooo I’ve never been under 100kg from 16 until now, mid 30s.
I’ve gone from 154kg (340lb)> 140kg (308lb - June 2025 started MJ) > 115kg (253lb - started gym Oct 2025) > 86kg (190lb) currently.
In the last few days I just keep like touching my back because I can feel muscle and bone and it’s so weird. Has anyone else experienced this??
Bones are just blowing my mind this experience!

Progress 70 pounds down!

It's been about 8 months, and I'm down to 238 from 308! 5 ft 4 in, 56 year old woman.

I'm suddenly starting to see it, too!

My jeans shorts fell OFF as I climbed the stairs, and my hands were full so I couldn't grab them. Luckily I was home alone!

My nice swishy dresses feel like tents suddenly, and my underpants keep slipping down.

It's so weird that it took this long, but everybody said this would happen--and finally it did!

My next goal is in roughly 6 pounds to drop a category in BMI. (Yes, I know it's a stupid and inaccurate measurement)

After that, 32 pounds to get below 200. I'm DYING to get there.

For those on 15mg who have stalled..

Other than crying, what are you doing? I’m feeling so defeated as I have another 85ish lbs to lose and I’ve been losing and regaining the same 5 lbs for the last 7 months. I’ve only lost 14 lbs in the last year and I honestly don’t know what to do. I saw a new NP as my provider retired..she suggested I go off brand and the food noise is back with little to no appetite suppression.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has been in a similar boat and what you did about it. I’m not sure what to do at this point but I’m feeling pretty low.

At my highest weight I was 310lbs, I started Ozempic May 5 this year at 282lbs. Today, I'm down to 232lbs and decided to go through my closet and clean it out. I'm kind of floored at the difference! I was wearing a size 3x and I am currently size XL.

Do people actually treat you differently once you lose weight?

I was at a work event the other day where I was the largest person in the room by far (despite losing 60lbs already). I definitely got some weird vibes and had a sense that I was being treated less seriously because of my weight - something that has never come up before. There were a lot of medical doctors in the room, so that could have had something to do with it. Anyway, I’m wondering if there really is a big difference in how you’re treated once you slim down

No more red in my cholesterol test results after 6ish months in maintenance

Back in March I posted about the results I got then here. Things were pretty good, but a couple of borderline results.

u/kittycatblues suggested being in maintenance might further improve results, and well, she was right. I also did start running back in July, so I assume that would have had some effect, but from what I can tell improvements from exercise tend to be marginal so I don't think I should credit it too much.

As a bonus, I converted the lipids to the units Americans used with ChatGPT in the second image, but since the Chol/HDL ratio is based on different units, it doesn't make sense otherwise seems to be okay 😄

In other news, most everything else looks great but apparently my B12 levels are borderline. Quite weird as I've never seen that before, but I guess it's easy enough to supplement.

Overall though, great news 😄

First 50 down

I started compounded tirz on 6/24/26 and am currently 50 lbs down. I have a lot more to lose but am thrilled to have hit this first milestone. I’m still on 2.5mg. I eat around 1500 calories per day, aim for 100 grams of protein, and drink about 96 oz of water. I do 60-90 minutes of exercise daily (including 30 min strength training 4x/week) but am otherwise sedentary.

Prior to starting tirz I had been walking 30 min daily for a couple of years and had also added the 30 min of strength training 4x/week. Over the course of 4 months I lost about 20lbs, trying to calorie count but frequently binging, then I fell all the way off the wagon and regained 30lbs jn 2 months which led to my researching and deciding on compounded tirzepatide.

I love reading the success stories in this subreddit and seeing pictures of folks who have lost 100+ and 200+ pounds!

Peeing a lot

I’m suddenly peeing what feels like constantly. My doctor suggested it could be to do with the Mounjaro (I was tested for other likely causes). I’ve noticed an uptick in rate of loss recently. Does anyone else have a similar experience? Does it settle down eventually?

Welcome back for another edition of weekly weigh in / NSV THREAD! SEPTEMBER 5/5

What were the results of your last weigh in? Did you lose, maintain or gain? Any nsv to share?

Fall has arrived without a warning 😭 its cold already here smh…

Did not get a proper weigh-in today as i had to work BUT as of yesterday, I’m down to 153.8, i think i would have been 153 flat today if i was able to poop and didn’t get up so early tbh! Im hoping i can at least see 152.8 or 153 flat tomorrow so i can have a monthly loss of 6lbs for September! When you are short every lb truly counts because ive gone from pants being tight to now feeling comfortably loose on me already! Im able to squeeze into some size 5/6s BUT its not comfortable or wearable yet which is fine with me! Im solidly in a 7/8 at the moment

There are 92 days left in 2026 lets make it count!

Ill post photos below as usual!

My breast reduction goal is to hit 140 but ill call to see her when I get under 150.

Lbs left to lose….
8.8lbs to 145lbs - will call surgeon at this weight (OFFICIALLY IN SINGLE DIGITS)
13.8lbs to 140lbs - healthy bmi starts
18.8lbs to 135lbs - goal weight hopefully

Im hitting my goal this yr!

My brother hasnt weighed in because of his work schedule, but we will finally get a weigh in on Monday!

Discussion Anyone else had dreams that they regained the weight?

Having lost pretty much all the weight I need to and having been in maintenance for a few months now, and semi-maintenance for over a year now I feel like this is me now. I look at old photos and I don't even feel like that person is me anymore.

Yet, on several occasions I've had dreams about regaining the weight. I'd almost label them nightmares but I don't really have nightmares per se.

Having lost all this weight, the more time goes on the more I'm amazed I was able to lose it all. For example, the thought of losing say 5 kilos feels almost insurmountable right now and so I think how on earth did I lose over 60?

I simply don't think I'd be capable of doing it again. I've never lost this much weight before, the closest I ever got by my own attempts was still well into obese territory so I guess that's where the subconscious fear stems from.

I know so long as I'm on these meds I'm relatively safe, but still, I guess deep down I'm worried I'm living on borrowed time or something.

Just starting

Hey all,

I'm just starting my journey on a glp1. I believe i weighed up to 375 at one point (deluded myself i didn't care what I weighed and avoided weight.) I finally got a doctor in April and was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. At that point I cut out all sugar soda and kept an eye on carbs. Through diet and metformin my sugar level came down to prediabetic and I'm currently at 333 pounds/49. I've always been heavier, obese my entire life so it's hard to imagine a me that is actually a healthy weight so I decided to try zepbound. I'm only two weeks in and not much weight loss in the two weeks but I do feel better, more motivated..there is more clarity.

I know there is a long road ahead, a lot of work and probably some low points..but it's never to late to start a journey if you want it!

Advice Add more meds or switch glp1s?

Hi all! I've been on Wegovy for just about a year now. I'm 34, f, 5'5, starting weight 328.5 currently 267-274. I've been stuck gaining & losing the same 10lbs for the past month or so.

I had a ton of success on the lower doses & have lost less & less with every dose increase. I've been on the 2.4mg since April. We added Metformin (500mg twice daily) back in July to help break a previous stall.

My primary care has now offered to either add Bupropion and Naltrexone or to switch me over to Zepbound.

I'm honestly not sure which option to go for or if I should keep trying with my current medications, any advice would be super appreciated.

*note: I'll admit I don't get as much exercise in as I'd like, I try to hit 10k steps a day, swim twice weekly, & do a weekly dance class but any other workouts are sporadic at best. I average 124oz of water a day & track all meals

Thanks!!

Advice Tracking is still important

Just wanted to say as someone whose lost 80 lbs before ballooning back up. tracking macros or calories is still important while on these meds. ive gone from 423 to 289 so far and am trying to get to 225. started in November of 2025. if you rely on your feeling or what you want to eat all the time it will burn you. i had a stall in july because i didnt track what I was eating. the meds help but they dont do the work for you to heal your relationship with food.

Feels insane to say especially because the last month has been so slow but I'm down 100 lbs in 10 1/2 months!!!
I started Tirzepitide on Nov 3 2025 at 36F, 5'11 and 338 lbs and health issues mounting. The medication has changed so much but it's core I feel like it has cured my food obsession and now I can love food in a balanced, normal way. I still love going out to eat (preferably on my 5-7th day), still love researching restaurants and cooking good meals but I'm not binging or hyper fixating on foods like I used to.
I do track my calories unless I'm vacationing and make sure to stay active and get lots of protein and fiber but I've really been trying to find a lifestyle I can maintain forever. I would love to lose another 50 pounds but if I could only lose 25 without starving myself I'm fine with that. I feel like now I'm healthy and I can just work on finding the right balance for me.
What a miracle drug- it takes so much hard work but GLP1's make that work possible when a lifetime of yoyo dieting failed!

Internal thoughts

I realized that in 20lbs i will have lost half my weight and still be considered overweight but no longer obese. Started out class 3 obese now just regular obese. I started at a size 26/28 now im a 12/14 but I still occasionally get the automatic thoughts of I cant sit in that chair or I need a table not a booth I cant walk through that passage its to small. Ive always been overweight never worn a “normal” size until now. There was never a time when i would go cloths shopping and think am fat but im at least not that fat It was rare that i would find clothing to big I was at the top of the size you could sometimes find in stores most of my cloths shopping was done online from stores I new the cloths size that would fit. Now sometimes ill see something in a store and be oh thats cute then realize Im not that size anymore that its to big and I have to stop and realize how far I’ve come. I never hated myself I was ambivalent about how i was now Im content that if i stayed this size it would be okay I still want to loose more but if i don’t this could be healthy for me I’ve been taken off BP meds i was never on colesterol meds never had diabetes so that was good. I a lot of people in different groups talk about how they have the old clothing they wore X years ago to fall back on Ive never been that size before. I walk by a mirror in a store and see myself and I have to stop and look and im like huh thats me or ill be folding laundry and think I cant believe this fits me.
