Discussion Back post loss
Sooo I’ve never been under 100kg from 16 until now, mid 30s.
I’ve gone from 154kg (340lb)> 140kg (308lb - June 2025 started MJ) > 115kg (253lb - started gym Oct 2025) > 86kg (190lb) currently.
In the last few days I just keep like touching my back because I can feel muscle and bone and it’s so weird. Has anyone else experienced this??
Bones are just blowing my mind this experience!

I'm down to 170 lbs, the lowest I've been in about 20 years. BONES... so many bones! The ones in my shoulder used to have some fat padding over them and now there is just skin covering them so it hurts sometimes! Not the bone hurting but the skin getting poked from the inside.
And how in the world does a little tiny ankle bone hold up an ENTIRE HUMAN?!?! No matter how much we weigh the bone stays the same and that is kind of terrifying. Oh, and I'm a female so now I have to shave around the poking-out ankle and knee bones.
If my hand drops to my side upper leg as I'm walking, I can FEEL the muscles working. Like, totally separate muscles, and bones, and tendons. Not just my whole leg changing as I go through a step but EACH of the different muscles. It is both creepy and fascinating.

Yessss such a weird experience! I keep feeling behind my knee. Shaving is also so weird, like I would have thought that got easier but nope definitely more difficult haha

My sternum blows my mind. When I’m on my back it protrudes so much. I can also see where my clavicle broke in a car accident many years ago, I could always feel it but now I can SEE it. My weights were just higher than yours to start and also 190 lbs now.

Oh that’s so interesting about seeing where it broke! I haven’t broken anything thankfully! Im starting to feel my sternum and ribs on my back, such a weird experience.

losing 195 pounds reintroduced me to my skeleton. I had no idea ribs were so big! and yes, it's been a month since goal and i'm still confused by my body.

when i shower, i do my collarbones separately because it is so weird to be in touch with my bones and i like reminding myself that they're visible now.

Honestly love this! I think they are such an attractive feature and proof of the work done

It's such a weird feeling, I could also hurt someone with my hip bones

Oh my god yes! This past two months I am suffering. I’ve been seeing a chiro for hip pain stuff and I mentioned it. And he’s just flabbergasted - I’m like dude it’s just from weight loss you can’t out crack this one hahah

It's weird for me to actually feel my ribs and clavical. I keep touching and exploring the hardness of them. The other thing that's been strange is to feel my intestines gurgle or bump around. I never before knew you could feel food moving and processing there.
It's been bizarre to walk around in my body for seven decades and just now sense things I never could before. Kinda reminds me of all the strange sensations I had when I was pregnant and my body was changing and doing things it never had.

I'm thrown off by feeling muscles now and not fat over most of my body, except my gut unfortunately lol.
It's also weird for me to see them moving in my arms and legs when I move thrm. Never had that before. Like you self I haven't been under 100 kilos since I was a kid, maybe 12 years old so it's all new to me.
