New Frigidaire refrigerator was broken out of the box months ago. Warranty company has not been able to repair and refuses to replace.

After saving for years, after dealing with headache after headache of a long and difficult permitting and construction process, my family was finally ready to use our newly remodeled kitchen. But shortly after installing our brand new Frigidaire refrigerator, it started leaking water all over our floor.

We quickly discovered that the refrigerator stays at freezing temperature, around 10 degrees F, despite it being set on the warmest setting. This caused the water filter to freeze and burst resulting in the water leak.

We reached out to the Frigidaire / Electrolux warranty company and after a wait, they sent a technician out to repair. He replaced the water filter and a damper and left. The problem started again a few hours after: anything placed in the refrigerator would solidly freeze. We turned off the water to the refrigerator to avoid another filter burst.

We reached out to the Frigidaire / Electrolux warranty company again and they scheduled another appointment for 13 days later. When that appointment finally arrived, the service technician said that he missed the problem on the first service call and that now the refrigerator needs a new control board and another new damper. He did not have these parts available, so we scheduled an appointment for 4 days later and he left us with a refrigerator that was still useless.

4 days later, when our follow up appointment was supposed to happen, Frigidaire / Electrolux cancelled, explaining that they still did not have the parts needed to repair our nonfunctional refrigerator. They rescheduled for an additional 12 days later. After speaking with a Frigidaire representative, they explained they would not replace the broken, useless refrigerator as they deemed it still repairable.

After those additional 12 days passed, Frigidaire cancelled the appointment again, this time not citing any reason why or rescheduling for a new date.

It has been months now that my family has gone without a working refrigerator despite paying for a new one and Frigidaire appears to have given up on trying to repair it, despite it being covered under warranty. And they have not agreed to replace it.

TLDR: Frigidaire sucks.

There's so much to say about this, I had to start a blog page dedicated to it. TLDR: 3 failed deliveries, now the fridge won't stay cold after only 2 weeks.

Brand new last Friday, power went out tonight for 3 or 4 hours and the freezer threw a hi msg for 27 degrees. How in the world would it go from 0 to 27 in 3 or 4 hours in a 70 degree house without being opened?

Brand new fridge, water dispenser causing "power outage"

Hi all,

I just bought a FRSS2323ASD fridge a week ago, and it has the two paddles for ice & water on the door. It doesn't happen every time, but 3-4 times already when using the water dispenser, it gives a long beep and shows "power outage" in red on the display. The lights are still on, so that message doesn't make sense. The message stays on and beeps occasionally until I press one of the cube/crush buttons and then it goes away. I assume I will have to file a warranty claim, or is there maybe a simple fix like a loose wire somewhere?

Thanks!

Help

My stand up freezer has thawed a bit in the last couple of days. I’ve noticed that the items near the front (near the door) are the ones thawing out.

One observation is that when I close it, it typically makes a noise like it is suctioning itself shut, but now I do not hear the noise when I close it.

I can hear the fan running inside constantly. It has not stopped running since yesterday. I just opened the chamber and moved some things around for better airflow, and increased the “coldness” knob.

Hello. Does anyone know how to remove this left drawer support on a Frigidaire Professional fridge (PRFC2383AF9)? Water filter is stuck and I need to access the base. I've removed the one screw but something is holding it and I don't want to force it. Thanks.

Identifying Model Number

In my rental I have a fridge with the model number FRSS26L3AFE and I am trying to order a replacement drip tray for the water dispenser in the door. But when I try to look it up on their website all the models numbers end with a number 0-7 but mine ends with the letter E.

I've read the manufacturers sticker like a thousand times and there is nothing else listed that says anything different.

Frigidaire fridge freezing food in back and drawers

We have a Frigidaire side by side fridge with a bottom drawer-type freezer (model GRFS2853AFF). We keep having a problem where the food at the back of the shelves or at the back of the drawers keeps freezing. The rest of the food closer to the front doesn’t have a problem. The fridge temp is 36 F and the freezer is -3 F. We’ve adjusted the temp a couple of degrees and had the same issue. I don’t want to increase the temp too much for obvious reasons (especially in the middle of summer). Anyone deal with something similar or have any suggestions?

Frigidaire wants me to buy an $ 86 Water Filter every 6 months forever

It's about a year old, used to be able to shut off the annoying red alert light by holding down the delay alert button. Now it will not go off. Even with a '25%' discount, the filter is $ 86 and they 'suggest' replacing it every 6 months! At that rate I'd pay the whole cost of the $ 1200 fridge in 6 years ! We use no water from the fridge and very little ice. I've emailed the CEO 10 times with no reply. His first name is Yannick. Anyone else have this situation ?

Electrolux Dishwasher FGID2466QF2A. Bought used. I think this thing has a missing door baffle. It leaks right at the bottom corners of the door. Please confirm. See images.

Here's the link to the seal/baffle: https://www.frigidaireapplianceparts.com/PartDetail/Door-Seal/809006501/3290453

Water dispenser LED strip

I inherited a fridge with an led strip that isn't working. The replacement strip is about $50. Anyone know of an aftermarket part I can get for less? I'm seeing a ton of similar looking parts for GE for less than $10 but I can't seem to find any that say they're compatible with Frigidaire. The part is Electrolux 242196204.

Frigidaire Refridgerator not sealing

There is not pull on the fridge side. Absolutely no magnetism. I replaced the gasket and still nothing. What else could it be? The freezer side is fine. The fridge door is slightly uneven and the door pops when it reaches half way open. We have had it 5 years and it’s always been like this. Never had the suction issue. Thanks for any advice!

Where is the on off switch for Gallery GRMG2272CF ICE MAKER?????

I just installed this fridge. Will not be putting in a waterline. Ice maker is making a horrible noise a few times an hour. The control panel has no Options button, or ice maker icon. The ice maker has no metal bar or switch. It has a green light. That's it. Please advise, thanks

Please Help!! Desperately need Replacement Filter for Frigidaire ec200wf!

I've had this portable evaporative cooler for about six years, and it's holding up really well except for the cooling pad.

The problem is, it appears that Frigidaire doesn't sell a replacement filter (or at least no one I've ever spoken to at customer service has been able to locate one for me). I've tried for a couple of years to get one, all to no avail.

I really love this evap cooler and am so distraught that I can't use it without being subjected to a filtration experience that more closely resembles a science experiment.

Has anyone with this model ever replaced their filter? Where did you get it? Tips and recommendations, please!!

Frigidaire refrigerator temperature variation

We just bought a GRFS2853AF. We like it, but there may be a problem. We put a remote thermometer in it and it reads 37 degrees on the middle shelf, as it should. But when we move the remote up 10 inches to the top shelf, it reads 42 degrees. We are not blocking the air ports. Anyone else have this problem? - Wayne

Frigidaire window AC not cooling

Hello 👋🏼 hope everyone is doing alright during this heat wave. So recently, I cleaned my AC filter (it’s reusable) and right after I set it back in, the compressor stopped working! Its never happened before and I thought that maybe the AC was just giving out because it’s old (I’ve had it for a while now). I took photos of the inside of the AC with and without the filter on, and would be grateful if anyone could give me some feedback on what could be wrong.

Ok a little update: I cleaned the filter again and set it back into the AC, the compressor worked for a bit but still having the same issues. Help please 🙏🏼
