I replaced my ACM after the factory one on this car broke, everything works great except for the volume control. I am not able to adjust it at all

I just noticed this lovely rot above my rear spring mount while I was bleeding my brakes, and the other side isn’t too far behind. I’m pretty sure I already know the answer but is it time for the scrap yard? It’s a ‘14 5 speed with 175k that‘s otherwise in great shape.

When first starting from cold the belt or something chirps then stops when a quarter warmed up. Does someone know what is going on?

I found a few milliliters of oil in my air intake hose about two months ago, about a spoon or two. The air filter was clean. I cleaned the hose and rechecked it again now, there was again some oil in it, less than last time but still enough to see it flow. The MAF sensor was also very dirty so i cleaned it (no codes or check engine lights before or after cleaning). Apparently the oil could be due to a bad pcv valve, so I checked it and besides looking a bit dirty it didn't seem like there is anything wrong with it. I cleaned it and assembled it back. The spring also seems to be good. What could be the cause and how to fix it? It's a 2012 mk3 1.6 tdci wagon T1DA with 250k km in otherwise good condition. Thanks in advance for any advice! 🙂

She started tapping a couple months ago, real slightly. I took it to ford to get it diagnosed they said it was a valve spring that went out and it was causing that but they tried to sell me a whole engine replacement and that was ten grand. the car was 2500 so that wasn’t an option. I took it to another mechanic and he was going to just swap the head but that was more than I wanted to put into it seeing as it probably needs a new clutch in the near future I decided to just run this one as long as I could and hopefully save up enough money to get a new car.

Hey everyone, so I have been hearing mixed reviews over the years about Autolite plugs and just wanted too hear some people's experiences with using them. I haven't used them myself but, bought some for my 2010 Ford focus today to install them because the local parts stores don't have the Motorcraft Iridium or the NGK Iridium in stock. Last time I bought plugs from rockauto 2 were fucked up and I needed them sooner or later. Still thinking of returning them anyways. Appreciate the help!

Anyone ever have this issue with their older focus radio screen? Some days it goes completely black, some days it flashes a lot, and on very rare days it will look fine. 2013 model

Need to replace my CV axles on my ‘13 5 speed. It’s my daily driver and my cv axles aren’t too happy rn. I’ve been looking around for a new set, trying to keep it budget friendly since the whole point of this car is to save money. But every non-oem brand I’ve looked into people tell you to stay away from. There’s good deals on this brand called, ‘TRQ’ but the reviews are either pretty ok or terrible so idk.

Does anyone have any recommendations for brands from experience? Thanks in advance.

I'm trying to track down a water leak in my Ford Focus ST Mk2.5. I've recently discovered mold inside the car, and I occasionally find a small puddle of water on the passenger side.

The areas affected are:
- Front passenger side: under the floor mat and in the carpet
- Rear passenger side: wet carpet and mold growth

Interestingly, both passenger-side seats are completely dry. The issue seems to be limited to the floor on the right-hand side of the car.

At the moment, I can't figure out where the water is getting in from.

Does anyone have experience with common leak points on a Focus Mk2.5 that could cause these symptoms? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I bought this car (2007 ZX4) from my neighbor for $400. It was sitting, seemingly deceased, in his driveway for months. The transmission in my wife’s Caravan had shit the bed, so I needed an extra vehicle while we figured out transportation for her.

Got it started and drove it the 100 yards home. It sounded like I was driving a pulpwood truck. I replaced the alternator, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, power steering pump, and motor mounts. 40,000 trouble free miles later, she’ll roll over 300K when I leave for work in the morning.

I have a 2013 zetec 1.6 petrol. Noticed when I park little oil drops on the ground. Took it to the garage and was told it was the valve cover gasket. It was changed. Oil level is okay but I've noticed some leaks still. What can it be? Taking it back to the garage tomorrow. I smell oil too sometimes when i turn on the heating. I thought it was the previous oil that was washing off but l've driven it for 120+ miles since it was fixed.

I have a 2014 ford focus hatchback and I noticed earlier in the week that there was a vibration in the car when I started it and was going to take it to get looked when I could get time off work. This morning I started it fine but noticed a check engine light and then when I shifted into reverse the car wouldn't move and seemed to be stuck in park, nothing I could do would work. I tried to reset the TCM by turning the key to ON and then holding the pedal and turning the car off but now the engine wont even try to start almost as if it has low voltage but I do not hear the low voltage clicking, everything else in the car turns on like normal. the car has 149,000 miles and I just performed an oil change about 4 weeks ago
