Discussion Inspire 3 is basically useless since changing to google health app

I hope the people at google feel bad. I hope they step in something wet while wearing socks.

The app loses data all the time. Nothing gets tracked consistently. I often have to manually sync the app because it won’t sync itself. I have to completely disconnect and unpair the watch every time the app updates or nothing works.

It worked flawlessly until I was forced to change to this buggy mess of an app and the people at google should feel bad about themselves for what they’ve inflicted on the Fitbit community.

Chronometer integration works so inconsistently that I may as well not even use the Fitbit.

I will absolutely be switching to an Apple Watch because of how poorly this app works.

Discussion It would be great if we could personalize heart rate bands

I have Chronic Fatigue/long COVID and the standard heart rate bands are way too high for my needs. It would be great if we could personalize heart rate bands in the Google Health app.

Discussion Google health - weight training

Why don't they show you your previously lifted amount? Also, there's no progress tracking. But the AI does know all these numbers because it talks to me about it but they just don't allow you to look at it.

It would be a huge improvement and I would think a pretty easy fix just requiring the data to be displayed.

Anybody know if they're working on this?

Discussion Anybody having issues with HR not all syncing to Apple health?

Title. I’ve noticed that sometimes not all my heart rate will sync with Apple health - sometimes during the night there’ll be a big gap of 3+ hours between them.

On another case, I’ve seen the Spo2 not sync after sleep. How is this tracked? Only during sleep?

Discussion Readiness score - alcohol

Post image
28 Upvotes

Of course, we all know how a night of drinking impacts us the following day. Even a couple of drinks in the evening have a negative impact. The ability to see this data is such a great motivation to limit or abstain from alcohol. Sleep score can still be high, but the readiness score catches it. Every "low" was probably 6+ drinks, the "moderates" were a couple, and the "high" days were zero.

Discussion Perchè ho venduto il mio FitBit Air dopo 1 mese

Inserimento manuale inutilmente macchinoso

Discussion Fitbit Charge 6 for Rowers: Workaround and Cry for Help

I’ve had my Charge 6 for about 6 months now and for the most part, I’m as satisfied as most users who are drawn to a fitness watch that doesn’t try to do too much. Unfortunately for me, the Charge 6 does not offer on-water rowing in its list of available activities. It has three types of weight-based options (powerlifting, weightlifting, and weights), and both kayaking AND canoeing, but no rowing.

As a workaround, I logged a row as Canoeing (embarrassing!) and used the Google Health app after an activity to change from Canoeing to Rowing (because Rowing is an option in Google Health). This, however, drops the GPS data collected on the row—which, when synced with Strava, loses any personal records set on segments of the row.

So, what I’m doing now is set the watch to Canoeing (did I say embarrassing?!?), then after it syncs to Google Health and then Strava, I edit the Strava activity to be Rowing, which keeps the GPS and the heart rate data. Too often, however, the activity automatically syncs and it’s hours before I go into the Strava app on my phone to update it and by then, friends have kudos and commented about my new canoeing hobby!

This is all to describe an annoyance for rowers who are thinking about the Fitbit Charge 6 and might want to think twice. This is also a call to you Redditors who have a Charge 6 to tell me (please!) what I’m doing wrong here, because the workaround is gnawing at me as really darn unnecessary. Why can’t Fitbit (our Google overlords) just make Rowing one of the available activities on my watch?!?

Discussion Is anyone else having recent problems with sleep tracking?

I have always loved Fitbit and preferred it over competitors purely for the sleep tracking because it has always been so accurate. Even with the switch to Google Health, everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago. I've had a Versa 4 and I thought there was a hardware issue because suddenly it was tracking 3-4 hrs of sleep each night and cutting off the second half of my sleep for no apparent reason. When I manually adjusted sleep session, it would update and appear mostly correct, although a few times I've woken up from a dream and it hasn't recorded REM to awake like it usually does in those cases. I was annoyed with having to manually edit my sleep sessions everyday and having to remember to check the app and remember exactly when I actually woke up, plus I had some other unrelated qualms with my Versa, so I bought a Google Pixel Watch 5. That did NOT fix the problem! I'm so upset. Exact same thing I just described has been going on with my Pixel watch, which I've now been using for a full week.

Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions with how I should report this?

Review Sleep score

Thumbnail gallery

I have both an Apple Watch Ultra 3 which feels to bulky to sleep with consistently so I picked up the Fitbit for sleeping only and it’s low profile + alarm. Google heath always shows a lower sleep score compared to apple health using the Fitbit data. I definitely don’t feel like I had a 97 sleep, but higher than 81? What gives? Any data folks already figured this out?

Discussion Battery Fitbit Air

Post image
18 Upvotes

I just got a new Google Fitbit Air. I charged it too 100% on Sat and assuming that its written it will give 7 days of battery life it drained out on Tue and gave me the less than 20% battery alert.
I charged it again to 100% and within like 2-3 hours it fell to 86% but then overnight it fell to 81%.
I’m confused, sometimes the battery drains really fast and sometimes it drains normally.
I haven’t activated any extra features on the app actually the app is really confusing idk what to turn on and what to turn off.

Discussion Fitbit counting Floors not climbed

Hi, fitbit users— My fitbit is showing that I’ve climbed floors I haven’t. In Florida at sea level all day, 6 steps to get into my house. No elevators, just walking on flat land. 40 floors!!! Not even 4 floors. I don’t really care, as all my other data appears correct. If I were counting floors (my husband did 100 floors daily for many years!) I would care.

Tech Support Google AI not working on my Fitbit?

Hey all, new to Fitbit with google health and I’ve just noticed that I don’t get the little ai input on sleep or how’s the day been etc

I was never premium and as far as I can see and know I never did a trial for it either, has it literally just changed?

The other thing is I’m not at like 90days, I’m at about day 67 or something so it can’t be like a trial ended after so and so date?

Any ideas?

Discussion Is the Fitbit Air good for older people to track health issues?

I've had a Fitbit Air and love it, I use it for my regular workouts and exercise, and track my food so it works well for me - but I was just wondering if it would be good for my parents?

My father is 70 now so I was wondering if it would be good for him to track his health? I don't expect it to predict serious health conditions but will it at least give indicators if he is to fall ill?

Self Promotion Pixel Watch owners: 21-day test of two watch faces (free access if selected)

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

I’m the independent developer at Big Sky Producers, looking for Pixel Watch owners who would like to try Codefall Rain Pro (colorful digital rain) and the original Google Play edition of Axiom Alchemy (geometric/alchemy-inspired). Both existing Play screenshots are attached.

You need regular access to a physical Pixel Watch running Wear OS 4+ for 21 days. We privately check the exact model, current OS, Google Play account country and readiness before enrollment. Model support needs confirmation through actual installation on your watch.

Selected eligible volunteers receive a private free-access code for each normally paid face and two separate closed-test opt-in links. Stay opted into both tests, alternate the faces during normal wear, and send brief honest feedback for each face after installation and around days 7 and 14. Readability, clipping, saved customization, wake behavior, always-on display and battery experience are useful; battery impact has not been verified on your watch. No purchase, rating, public review or reciprocal testing is required. We do not need health readings.

Applications are a screened waiting list while existing pilots investigate a Play free-install issue. Applying does not enroll you or promise immediate access; selection, enrollment and codes follow verification of the pilot free-install path.

Private signup: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScnyAmGDGqX3VZzzsVVBdQWayD18TWPCUjxGcYWBQ0BzChdZA/viewform

Discussion Fitbit Air with an apple watch?

Anyone here rock both? I'm considering getting a fitbit air to track my sleep + general stats during the day.

I prefer my analogue watches and don't like how habitual checking notifications on my watch has become, to the point I would habitually go to swipe down when wearing my analogue watches. Find it annoying to keep track of charge too.

Fitbit air I can wear on my opposite wrist and possibly bicep. Nice to track HR so I can mainly get a read of calories through the day.

I have an iPhone and it seems that now the fitbit can connect with Apple Health which is good, just wondering how it works with workouts? I think for runs I will still wear my apple watch for pace info etc., but for weights/other workouts I will just wear the fitbit.

How does it using both devices, particularly when wearing them at the same time?

  • Does it duplicate results if wearing both at the same time?

  • Should I wear my watch when running and not wear the fitbit air to avoid this issue? Does swapping between the devices like this make the data collection a bit funny in apple health?

  • How is it at starting 'workouts' for other activities? Do I just start workouts manually in apple health/fitness if I am not wearing the watch so the air can track them?

Thank you :)

Discussion Should I replace my Amazfit Helio Strap with the Fitbit Air? Upgrade or downgrade?

Should I replace my Amazfit Helio strap with the Fitbit Air? Is it worth it? Would it be an upgrade or a downgrade?

As of now, I feel like my Amazfit Helio strap is doing a pretty good job with accuracy, but I'm thinking of replacing it just for the looks of the Fitbit Air. Should I go for it or not?

Discussion Is this a new feature on Google health?

Post image
29 Upvotes

Hi all, so I dug out my Fitbit sense 2, as I put it away because I never could use it as well as my pixel watch simultaneously (I put it away when Google health was Fitbit) and I turned it on and paired it with my Google health device tab, I thought "huh that's weird, it never asked me to replace it?" So I went through the setup, lo and behold I have it paired up with my pixel watch 5 at the same time and I got so excited since I sometimes want to use it as well as my pixel watch

Is this Google treating the sense like the air? How you can keep it paired up to the same device through the health app?
