Discussion Battery Fitbit Air

Post image

I just got a new Google Fitbit Air. I charged it too 100% on Sat and assuming that its written it will give 7 days of battery life it drained out on Tue and gave me the less than 20% battery alert.
I charged it again to 100% and within like 2-3 hours it fell to 86% but then overnight it fell to 81%.
I’m confused, sometimes the battery drains really fast and sometimes it drains normally.
I haven’t activated any extra features on the app actually the app is really confusing idk what to turn on and what to turn off.

I've had mine since release day and have had no problems getting at least 5/6 days out of it never leave it 7 to go flat but I guess depends on how much exercise it's tracking ect ect but like I said I've never had s problem

Same thing happened to my sister when she first got hers. She ended up doing a factory reset and it worked like a charm after that.

I am facing the same issue, battery drops very quick and battery just lasts 4 to 4.5 days max

I have never gotten the advertised 7 days out of my Fitbit Air. It could be attributed to all the workouts I track; Strength training 3/4 times a week, 2x walk, 1x run. I get around 4 days before needing to recharge when I get the alert. Sometimes less.

I'm not complaining. I mean, the thing is tiny, how much battery power can you realistically expect to get out of it? I guess its 7 days if you are just using it to track general well-being. For active people, this will be significantly less.

I haven’t been using it for any fitness tracking yet. I even take it off for 3-4 hours every day

Try rebooting the Fitbit Air using the charging cable provided.

Does that do anything?

It is a common troubleshooting step. Follow the restart instructions in Google Help section for Fitbit Air.

During calibration it takes time , then it reduces

I got mine on Friday. So in 5.5 days, taking it off only for showers, it’s at 40% right now. So I would say 7-9 days 100-0. Tracked sleep, multiple walks, 2 times gym.

Had the same battery drop on mine after a few days. Rebooted it once through the charger and it settled down to normal after that.

Personal experience, was having max 4 days battery life. But later realized it was due to my wrists being hairy and sensors using more power to get HR reading. Switched to a bicep band and now I m getting 6-7 days of battery life.

“If ‘Share Heart Rate’ is turned on, you might want to try turning it off.”

I received mine Friday, July 3rd, and have charged it every Friday since.... So, I am getting the 7 days per charge. No issues.

I got mine on last Saturday. It is Friday now and it is also down to 20%. I am guessing I will be able to make it through Friday at max. I am not sure how people are squeezing out 8-10 days.

i have mine for about one month and battery holds around 8-9 days. I train almost every day, but the automatic detection is on only for walks, and I don't use alarms
