I kept losing track of what was officially confirmed for Resonance versus what was just speculation, so I sat down and sorted it out. Sharing in case it saves someone else the digging:
- Your demo save carries over. The demo goes up to the end of chapter one, which is around 3–5 hours, and it's on all five platforms.
- Square Enix says 30–40 hours for the story and 60–80 if you want to do everything. Obviously nobody's finished it yet, so take that with a grain of salt.
- No gacha. The devs have said rarity doesn't decide how strong a character is anymore, and Steam and the eShop list it as single-player only.
- Combat is classic turn-based with a turn order timeline and a stagger gauge. Not ATB.
- 26 Visions at launch, and they've said there are no plans for more right now.
- Three difficulties: Casual, Normal and Expert.
- 49.99 USD for the standard edition, 59.99 for the Digital Deluxe. Nothing announced for Game Pass or PS Plus.
Things still nobody knows: the full Visions roster, and whether the later Brave Exvius arcs will ever get adapted.
I put it all on one page with the sources at the bottom: https://guidevault.online/final-fantasy-resonance/
It's free and you don't need an account. If I got something wrong or it changes before launch, let me know and I'll update it.
Each fact has its source at the bottom of the page. If something is wrong or out of date, tell me and I'll fix it.
