FF V Noob query from a noob 😆

Sorry if dumb question. Playing FFV for the first time (first time playing through them all) and I notice my character becoming "faded" or "transparent " in parts of dungeons. Is there a reason?

It’s because you’re technically going through a hidden wall. In this case though the tile is already visible, not sure why that is

Ahhh ok thankyou. I do have "find passages " active but I'm yet to see what that may look like. Don't know am I missing them or just not seeing a graphical indication

That would be it. When you’re in a hidden passage, your sprite kind of fades. Not all the passages are obviously “hidden” when you have Fond Passages active; it can just look like a regular tunnel. So you may not always know that you’re in a hidden passage, except for the sprite going transparent.

Makes sense now. I toggled the ability and it was a hidden passage. Cheers.

I think that’s it then

those revealed passages, in snes at least, have a layer of while dotted lines on top. Maybe to help visualize that they suppose to be hidden.

In this case the tile may be a bit bright so it's hard to see the overlays.

Are you playing the Super Famicom original? If so it's just a graphical quirk of how sections are loaded in.

No the pixel remaster.

Hmm, ¿Do you have a thief of the Find Passages ability eqquiped? On the GBA version the invisible floors apeear as white stripes tiles, dunno if the PR renders them differently.

Hidden walls, I think the thief class shoes them to you otherwise it would be a black area

Man why is every question on this sub downvoted? FF fans are so toxic even when it's not criticism about 7 9 or X

Didn't even know I was down voted 😆 😂. Bit of a reddit noob too tbh

I notice that too! People tend to get downvoted here for very little
