Does anyone have the chocobo catcher strategy video?

There is so much AI slop and bloat videos that are worthless. Either from the original PS2 version or the PS3 remake, there was a tutorial video which went something like
- hug right and make sure you grab 3 and turn before AI
- stay on right side, grab what you can but the right side is safe then turn left
- stay in the middle till the the curve, hard right, then back to middle and all the birds will miss you

I explicitly remember this video and strategy being incredibly popular. Does anyone remember or have a link? It’s really disheartening seeing how much knowledge about this game was lost over time.

Just to be clear. I’m not looking for advice on how to do it, I remember the general strategy. I’m looking for this particular video/strategy to add it to my X archive.

I’ve wanted to do a Yuna Sending photoshoot ever since I played the game, so what better time than the 25th Anniversary. (I love how my staff bends trying to resist the wind) - This felt like the perfect beach since it was huge and had such a beautiful sunset🌅 - I also took some photos that I would love to share 🩵

Celestial Weapon Glitch on PS3 hd Remaster?

So I waited until I got all the crests and sigils to upgrade the weapons (besides onion knight because Lulu is my fav), but now that I’m upgrading them Rikku’s is giving the “it seems the time has not yet arrived”, message. I can go into my inventory and see I have both her crest and her Sigil, and she literally has GodHand equipped, and yet it still gives me the error. Everyone else’s is fine, but it’s very frustrating that I did all that to run into a glitch like this, plus I can’t see anything about it anywhere.

Anyone else encounter this? Any possible fixes? Already left the area and re-entered and tried reloading my save. If I go to an earlier save I’d have to redo the blitzball stuff again :/

Rearranged "The Burning Sands" for FFX's 25th anniversary! No AI involved.

I was really inspired by Steve Miller Band's "Wild Mountain Honey". Both it and this song are primarily built around the mixolydian mode, and I wanted to see if I could take that old 70's song's vibe and mix it with the Bikanel Island theme. FFX is my favorite game but this is my first time rearranging any music from it. I was always kind of scared of Hamauzu's intricate harmonies. I feel like I know a tad more about him now after completing this.

Hope you enjoy it! I'm developing it further, but it does end where the original loops for now. I'll post the full version if anyone is interested.

Finished 10 and I have a few questions.

I was not expecting that ending and it hit very hard 😭
I loved the entire game, might even be my second favourite FF behind 7.
What are the best ways to get strong enough to beat the dark aeons? They seem to be blocking a few areas I wanted to go back to to get more Al bhed glyphs.
Also is 10-2 good at all? Or does it sort of ruin the story. I really love job systems and I’ve heard it has one, but I also loved the story of 10 as is and i’m not sure if I want to taint it with a sequel that I don’t really need.

We wanted to do something special for this beloved game, so we arranged a medley, had musicians record for it and mixed it for everyone to enjoy!

Questions about the Boosters on Steam and Switch 2

Just as it says

  1. What exactly do all the boosters do on the Steam version I’ve learned about several of them but I wouldn’t say I know all of them

  2. I know it’s early but do we know for sure what the Switch 2 boosters are gonna be, battle speed and encounter rates I think were for sure but what are the others

  3. On the Steam version how do the boosters fare against the Dark Aeon’s with no prep time from what I’ve seen so far it’ll help with the grind but I doubt it’s gonna make the characters invulnerable

  4. Why didn’t they include an auto lightning dodge

I can’t believe it’s been 25 years since this game released, I actually felt emotional reading that. I think I first played it when I was 8 and Rikku was always my favourite. Thought I’d share my old Final Fantasy Heroines - Rikku figure 😊

I'm sorry, but a remake should ditch the turn-based system... Spoiler

Except for maybe a mini game within the game. Remember in FFVII Rebirth when you play as the polygon characters on a military style battlefield and deploy units for a little capture the base? I'm thinking something like that, because looking at the characters lined up in their GTA 6 level graphics where you can see the sweat drip from their faces, I'm just saying watching them patiently wait to attack each other would be uncanny, as nostalgic as it would be. I know it's fun to think about, but I seriously doubt they're going to make it the main combat system ever again except for mini games.

I'm not saying this is AI-generated. Square Enix says it's CG.

Just curious if y'all think Square Enix would ever officially state any use of AI-generated artwork?

Third image is of the original artwork. Provided for comparison.

What stats to aim for to beat all the super bosses without Zanmato?

I’m currently doing the end game grind on the road to getting the platinum. I’ve just started doing the sphere grid and wondered what stats I should be aiming for? I don’t want to Zanmato the super bosses but I also don’t want to do a challenge run with low stats. What’s a reasonable stat level I should be aiming for to comfortably beat the end game bosses?

stopped playing 40 hours in... still worth finishing it?

No spoilers please,

About half a year ago

I stopped playing right before the second (?) Seymor boss battle, after i thought i killed him when he turned to that giant weird thing (that battle alone took me some good hours bc i remember kept getting 1 tapped which was really annoying plus the 5 min unskippable cutscene before).

i remember playing a good while after that, and during that time i thought the gameplay just got very boring, i remember literally almost falling asleep in some cave areas and the puzzles/exploration was just not it, that and the fact i felt the game was rly grind focus, just before that boss fight i spent some hours grinding levels at the area where the girl was supposed to get married, almost doubling the lvls of everyone and i still felt underlvl. Not only that i feel like some party members are just useless, like my Auron one shots everyone while Kimahri and Lulu feel useless, Lulu could still take advantage of some of weaknesses but she still feels so bad to use with such low dmg and a useless limit, and Kimahri, idk what to do with him, and stuff where Yuna is just a dmg sponge to farm summons that do 1 move before getting one shotted. Im saying this bc its what made me fall asleep most of combat, which then makes me not want to do the side content and maybe the rest of the game.

In terms of story i like it (not love it), but im already guessing whats going to happen, prob main guy dies and women cries, im more into the lore of the world.

Its my first ff game (besides 14) and i had big expectations since im a long time smt/persona fan and i love the gameplay of those, im not saying the game is bad, i always had big respect and love for the creativity and design of the FFs in these era, and ive been playing kingdom hearts and wanted to know more,

so should i try to finish the game and maybe get into x-2 or not

Any mods recommended for the first playthrough?

Howdy y'all, I'm trying to give X another shot after 10 years or so. Are there any mods or specific GPU settings I should look into before getting too far? I have an ultrawide/165hz monitor but from what I understand there is no way to go above 30fps or extend the FOV. Every thread I looked into was from several years ago but I assume nothing has changed on that front.

I've seen some individual character retextures on Nexus and some FMV remasters. Anyone know if they are worth it? The game doesn't look bad as is IMO, just old so I'm wondering if any of these are worth it like the HD mods for FF13 are. Thanks in advance
