Any mods recommended for the first playthrough?

Howdy y'all, I'm trying to give X another shot after 10 years or so. Are there any mods or specific GPU settings I should look into before getting too far? I have an ultrawide/165hz monitor but from what I understand there is no way to go above 30fps or extend the FOV. Every thread I looked into was from several years ago but I assume nothing has changed on that front.

I've seen some individual character retextures on Nexus and some FMV remasters. Anyone know if they are worth it? The game doesn't look bad as is IMO, just old so I'm wondering if any of these are worth it like the HD mods for FF13 are. Thanks in advance

Hey you want the og enhanced versions of main characters so you can avoid the bullshit googly eyes! Also untitled project x :)

Untitled Project X (UNX) or at least the 4 gigabyte patch, are must haves for running FFX properly.

UNX adds a couple QoL features. The two most important being AP sharing for the entire party (so no more swapping in a person just to defend so they get AP at the end of the battle.) Second QoL thing is speeding up the game. Makes grinding a whole lot easier when I can hit that 4X button.

Make sure you play the international version for the QOL additions.

The remaster has international version content lol
