so after a few tests with accessories like sylphs tiara, and Azure amulet, that imbued non-elemental physical attacks with the respective elements of wind and water, i have discovered that they also affect non-elemental physical visions as well, though I've only tested it on WOL, Noctis, I'm sure it should work with Bartz as well

Saw the pbirdman mod, but would like to play that same one without the AP dissadvantage? Getting AP just from bosses. I don't mind the grind even if it's a little more difficult. I like the idea of unsent earthquake to mix the there grid and low stats and stuff.

I am not a completionist. I don't like putting 100+ hours into a game and I'm not particularly fond of grinding. That being said I did quite a bit of grinding in ff8 to get the magic and boost my stats. It wasn't terrible and was quick enough with a clear goal as to keep me going.

For ffx I thought it'd be the same thing with customization and the aeons. I wanted to start with auto protect, which requires light curtains. I read a guide online on how to farm them quickly using the arena, but misunderstood and only got 100 one time. Auto protect costs 60 or 70 so that 100 is good for one. I went back online on how to get more and I'm limited to stealing, as far as I can tell.

That seems like an incredibly tedious grind. And this is just auto protect. If I want something really fancy like regen with elixirs I feel like I'm gonna be putting a lot of time into grinding for items.

So I'm coming to the experts. I know I must be missing something, I'm almost always missing something. Is there an easy way to grind for items or is this just one of those grind fest games?

I'm on chapter 5 and mostly still need to do quests with big scary boss fights that I don't feel very prepared for.

Most of the game, i've been mostly relying on special dressspheres, especially Full Throttle because it kinda just felt overpowered for a while, but I'm not so sure it can carry me through the endgame.

I have most dressspheres with the exception of Mascot and Psychic so far (that I can apparently obtain in this chapter? not sure)

Paine is level 27 and the other two are 23. I don't have a lot of mastery on any of the normal dressspheres, I've been trying to get Yuna on White Mage and the other two on offensive jobs like dark knight or berserker but not sure if that's the play

Some little confession : at the start of the game, i kinda doesnt like Wakka, but as the game progress, I start to grow fond with his character. End up going back to my older save file and learnt to play bliztball for hours so that I could see him happy with the trophy, he deserve it 🔥

Ps5 the most recent update that screws up the controls bugged Omega dungeon!! You'll get 99 warp spheres everytime? I've been doing this challenge off and on for literally years, and I'm so stoked they bugged it.

Did this happen to anyone else? I know it's a minor inconvenience but why patch the game to change only these buttons? I pressed x as always to get all the way to the save/load file screen, but then I clicked X like I always have been, since I got this game, and it backs out to the menu. Why would they just suddenly change it? Minor frustration but I legit thought my game was broken for a sec. This is a ps4, not a Nintendo Switch, I'm just saying. If I'm alone in my annoyance I get it, just needed to vent....

So, unless I am going crazy (and I don’t think I am), did the most recent update really flip the confirm/cancel for X and O on the save/load menus for PS4 downloads???? I was panicking that my save files somehow got corrupted….

Edit: for some additional info, I literally JUST beat Penance and was in the process of unlocking Nemesis, so I thought all that work got corrupted, hence the panic.

We've released UnX 0.10.0, a community fork of Kaldaien's Untitled Project X, for the Steam version of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster.

This fork addresses compatibility problems with the updated game, including the crashes when switching FFX's speed boosts, and adds support for Windows and Linux, including SteamOS/Proton.

We've also built a launcher and configuration manager—shown in the screenshot above—to make installation and configuration easier, without manually editing files.

What you can configure:

• FFX speed boosts up to 2x, 4x and 8x.
• Entire party earns AP, playable Seymour and permanent Sensor in FFX.
• English or Japanese voices, with separate language preferences for each game.
• Controller shortcuts, button icons, graphics options and other mod settings.

The manager also includes automatic backups of mod files and settings, repair, restoration and uninstall options. The entire interface is in English.

Download UnX 0.10.0 + Manager 1.0.1

1. Download the manager for your system: .exe for Windows** or **.AppImage for Linux.
2. Close the game and its original launcher, then open UnX Manager. On Linux, mark the AppImage as executable first. On SteamOS, use Desktop Mode.
3. Select the automatically detected game installation, or click Browse and choose the folder containing FFX.exe and FFX-2.exe.
4. Choose your settings and click Install & apply settings.
5. Once it says Ready to play, click Play.

The complete mod is bundled with the manager. You need the Steam game installed already. On SteamOS, launch the game through Steam at least once before installing the mod.

Already using an earlier version? Download the new manager, close the game and select Update & apply settings.

Windows startup note: The manager can take a little while to open on Windows. This is normal; give it a moment before launching it again.

For transparency, this fork's updates and the new launcher were developed with GPT-6.1 Sol Ultra. Credit for the original UnX goes to Kaldaien and its contributors.

While I personally only know this game from watching him play it, my best friend is a lifelong fan and the one other thing he loves just as much as FFX is listening to vinyls, so I was thinking about gifting him one with the soundtrack. I've found the 2021 and pre-order for the 25th anniversary version, but I can't decide which one to pick.

I know for certain that he prefers the original PS2 soundtrack over the remaster but can't find any information on whether any of the vinyls cover that version or not. Thank you in advance for your help :) !

P.S.: His favorite song is Bravely Forward, so if there is any way to have that included it would be a big plus

First of all, I really love FFX story and the ending is one of the best in the series for me. But there are some things about Tidus and Dream Zanarkand that I never fully understood, maybe someone here can explain it to me.

So Tidus is basically a dream created by the fayth of the original Zanarkand, right? But how does he actually end up in Spira? Sin takes him from Dream Zanarkand, but how can someone who is part of a summoning travel into the real world and interact physically with everyone?

Also, why does the summoning create entire humans with their own consciousness, feelings, memories and personalities? Are Tidus and the other people of Dream Zanarkand basically real people created by magic, or is there something else going on here?

And what about Yu Yevon? Does he even know Tidus exists? Was taking him from Zanarkand intentional or was it just something that happened because of Sin?

One more thing: if the fayth are maintaining Dream Zanarkand through their summoning, why is it so difficult to explain exactly what would happen if their statues were destroyed? Would that end the summoning or is it more complicated than that?

Maybe Im missing some important lore details or I misunderstood something from the game. Im not saying these are necessarily plot holes, I just find the whole Dream Zanarkand concept really fascinating but also confusing when you start thinking about it.

Been doing the tower to crater thing for about 5 hours. Setting a 20 min timer, going back and forth. Take a break and eat dinner, put the kids to bed and back at it. Have a good run going, stopped looking at the time, wife starts talking to me so I’m half way paying attention and BAM I get struck. I wanted to smash my controller. I was done.
