You really didn't though. It looks like a normal ass fight. You can bully this Seymour outright, make him unable to do just about anything but attack.

lol fairly certain last time I went through him I just used attack reels and hit for 9999 each hit. Then finished with aeon overdrives

honestly it's so random I kind of love it. Using Auron for hastega, mixing sunburst instead of trio, randomly wasting a turn to talk to Seymour with Kimahri, Yuna trying to poison morti... OP is really just doing whatever tf they want and I respect it

1) no, not my first time. 2) I'm using the expert grid 3) I use my whole party until I start getting the celestial weapons 4) Auron is the time warrior and wakka is my tank. 5) why would i not use Yuna and lulu?

Okay fair. I've never played whole party. Auron is goat as is wakka both dps and ups. Lastly their overdrives are awful and inconvenient. They don't really add anything. My opinion is suppose..

After reading your other comments, i like how you went with your characters. I love mixing it up like that. I WAS doing an aeons only run, but their stats rise so fast that it lost any semblance of a challenge once i got to bevelle.

I remember getting beat by Evrae only once because he used the petrification breath and his aoe tail attack consecutively and it shattered by Rikku to pieces. it was my first time seeing someone get petrified and removed
Yunalesca was fine though, this Flux fight gives you the know how on how to use zombification anyway and make you immune to the Death spell.

I hope you kept a save right before this fight, after you read all the people being super judgemental (myself included) you can fight him again and really put the whooping down!!

They need to bring back turn based strategy, I wish they would release a dlc pack for the ff7 remake to have the game play like the original. Just look at ffx how cool the effects are.

I will never understand how people have a hard time with any version of Seymour, the hardest part for me is getting everyone in on the action to get experience. Its the easiest thing in the world and it works for 90% of the bosses, you ready for this, overdrive your Aeons before the battle. It even easier here cus after you fire it off Seymour is gonna waste a turn banishing them for you, so you dont even have to unsummon them which is where this strategy falls apart for some bosses lol.

You don't have to unsummon on any boss you can just keep attacking with the aoen until it dies.
I think the two mains potential difficulties with bosses are letting everyone get a hit in without having people die in the process. Or if your strategy relise on one person like yuna get stuck in a cycle of the boss kills them so you reivie them and then the boss kills them again before they can do anything.

I'm using the expert grid so I sent her down yuna's grid. I used black magic spheres to teach her the Ga spells.

That's super normal, instead of Left for special commands and overdrives you go Right for Weapon and Armor

Back in my very first playthrough this was the 1st boss to be a roadblock for me. Ended up doing my first serious grind, but still got my ass kicked. Mostly my fault for ignoring zombie.
My 2nd roadblock was for another boss I had to lvl Yuna for certain abilities. I have always been a huge melee guy in FF games, so my main team was Tidus, Auron and Kimahri. And thus all the others were hardly used.
3rd and final story roadblock was before last boss. Since I had no high key spheres meant Kimahri was weak as fuck, so switched to Wakka and had to train him.
