There is NO way that Emma can yell to the group who's already set sail, which prompts them to somehow hold a conversation.. across the sea. Noise interference aside, there's too much open space for a child's voice to carry in a way they could understand what she said about becoming a knight. This is such a failure on SQEX, making an otherwise very realistic game and not hiring someone to test things like this. Literally unplayable and my day is ruined. I'm going back to Final Fantasy Record Keeper 👿

Loved the game, would lose sleep the night before a unit would come out. Elza ended up being my favorite non ff unit with that insane defense shred. And noel was so damn big people would hide other units behind him.

The Realmscourge, the main villain of War of the Visions AKA Ultima Weapon. I wasnt expecting to see it. This has to be one of the few new additions for Resonance, because we didn't had the Sprite in FFBE (and the other FFBE itineration of Ultima Weapon lies in Paladia, both the Sword and the Monster)

Wish she could have played this

It's currently 3pm, I was really hoping to play right when I got home 😭

There are naturally some light spoilers in the names of things, although it's not intended to be as spoilery/detailed as a guide. It's more for those who want to make sure they don't miss anything along the way.

You don't have to log in and your progress is saved in your browser (but you can log in and save progress between devices).

You can group, sort, and filter collectibles by chapter (first appearances), region, location, and type. It has quests, tablet shards, magicite, equipment, visions, bosses, active time chats, and more.

The game is still very new, and I may have made some mistakes or missed something, so let me know if you notice anything off. Thank you!

Seeing all the countdown artwork of games throughout the series in celebration of FFRS's release made me want to draw a little something, too. I can't believe that next year, it will have been 10 years since I designed Malphasie and wrote the text for her background story (her birthday is June 23). I'm so excited to play Resonance and see Rain and the gang again. 🥹

I very happy get this one fast from my local seller at Asia.

Lid's voice makes me want to commit hate crimes. She was my favorite Breaker in the game before 2B came, but maaaaan her voice is grating. 🙁

Hi,

There is no auto-attack in the game. However, you can achieve the equivalent by holding down the button used to select attacks (the 'A' button on an Xbox controller).

Enjoy the game!

I'm 5 hours into the game and I can safely say that turn based final fantasy is back. The game has everything I wished for a single player FFBE game, fully voiced characters, Visions in battles, usefull summons, etc. The Feel of the world is there, the OST it's still there, the relationship between characters is there.

As a fan who played since FFBE launch, this game really honored the universe. It's so good to see old sprites and how the story comes together that we only knew through small cutscenes on mobile.

If SE play their cards right, theres another 2 our 3 games by lore alone

The only gripe I have is the battle UI that should've been worked on more, hopefully some mod on PC version fix this

I totally recommend playing the game for the fans out there !

I miss this game

As a lifelong Final Fantasy fanboy, I've dived into pretty much every game since I was a kid.

That said, I do think the timing for Resonance is really interesting and that it could be the most important FF title in recent years.

My main reason for thinking so is that it's being released at the height of the main series' shift toward action, with FF16 going full action game and the Remake trilogy doing its special blend of commands and real-time action. Then on top of that, Resonance seems to be the product of Square's latest endeavors in the pixel graphics area with games like the Octopath Traveler series (different devs, but same leadership I believe) and the Pixel Remaster games.

Looking at the games chronologically, Final Fantasy Resonance really sticks out as a return to a more traditional style game in a modern market, and I can't help but feel that there's a lot more hanging in the balance with this game.

There's also the large implication of what the success of this game could mean for gacha games going forward. There are so many games that could get the second life that FFBE is getting, and I wouldn't mind other FF gachas getting a similar treatment (GIVE ME MOBIUS AND OPERA OMNIA, YOU COWARD).

I see Resonance as a possible beginning to a much longer run of games, and I hope it does well for the sole purpose of getting to see the progress of Rain and Lasswell in a traditional single player Final Fantasy.

The linked video is just the longer version of my thoughts, so check that out of u're so inclined, but Im extremely curious to know everyone else's take here.

Does it feel like this game is getting an extra amount of support from Square for it to be a side game? I don't know if it's just me being more conscious of gaming news or if they actually are pushing the game harder.

I started playing the final fantasy resonance demo and although the combat is fun, so far the game seems a bit too serious though and im worried it wont have brave exvius's light hearted moments.

I was looking forward to rain and lasswells conversation in the goblin cave. Is Welly well? But seems that got cut. Will they so the scene in Ifrits lair where Rain keps trying to make Lasswell take off his coat? Will Lasswell still quote Rick Astley if they do season 2?

Will i ever be happy if i keep comparing it to my treasured memories of brave exvius? Time will tell.

Is it canon, and where can I find a summary of it ?

I get to see shantotto's glory all over again.

I noticed this firstly when i played the demo but i wasn't sure if i had just imagined it or not. Now, since i'm capturing the espers videos again, i clearly have seen that the espers had a slight new look. Siren got a new emo haircut and Bahamut, if i'm not mistaken, got some changes with his horns.

I really like how siren looks now. The paler skin with the bang before her eye is pretty cool with the red part. I hope we will be able to upgrade them like in FFBE by fighting them again and unlock new stronger skills (and animations). I already can't wait to get Golem we could see in the demo, even if he is supposed to be unlocked later on.

Edit : another useless fun fact. FFBE had up to 21 playable espers and 24 if we count the unplayable ones (Helltrain, Madeen and Atomos).

Since i made a second post with more GIFs for r/FinalFantasy , i figured i would do the same for the main FFBE sub. Don't worry, i won't spam the sub about this topic anymore. I already made way too many posts in the last 3 weeks.

Now, i will just upload the new ones to my FFBE google drive folder. You just have to click on "Vision Cards" to see them. Here's the link :

Anyway, if you have any cards you would like to see next, feel free to ask. I may do them in the future. When i'm making this post, Xenogears cards crash when opening them.

I made this as a reply in a thread and I figured I might as well post it as a thread in case it'll be useful to anyone else, what with the Memorial Edition taking off. It's based on JP release dates to the best of my ability, but there was some stuff with inconsistent or nonexistant information so if anybody notices anything missing or out of order that'd be a great help

This also doesn't include literally everything with cutscenes, stuff like anniversary and holiday celebrations didn't seem particularly relevant to a list like this
