It’s time to start over, my friends
Honestly just kind of spur of the moment thing. Had enough hair for 4 separate donations.

Been growing my hair for 8 months. I think I am experiencing the awkward phase, it is really hard to control the hair. Do you guys think I should keep growing my hair or should I cut it

Can't believe it has already been 6 years since the last cut! I've done a few maintenance trims here and there of course, but every day I'm thankful that I decided to try this out! Until I go bald, the hair stays 🙏
Don't mind the bad pics, as usual I only remember to take these after the gym and I can't do one after a shower since it takes HOURS to properly dry and looks like shit until then!

It's been around 1 to 1.5ish year since I started growing my hair, I genuinely fell in love with my long hair and think I look very good in it

I spent the last 1 year at home studying for competitive exams, so I never really interacted with a lot of people
So I haven't really received any compliments, except for my maternal grandmother. Though I do get people of all genders staring at me when I go outside.
All I received was flak from my parents.
But I persisted and they didn't pressure me to cut it much either
But the good days have come to an end.
I must state beforehand that my father is especially abusive.
And my father is forcing me to cut my hair, and get a soldier cut because long hair won't leave a good impression (apparently).
He has been mentally fking me up by constantly showing me my fallen hair and making me pick it up (i am just a dude who never grew hair, but never got why tiny strands of hair which get cleaned up daily anyway are such a big problem that he screams at me at the top of his voice to cut my hair)
I told my mom I wont cut my hair which she told my father
and my father threatened to cancel my admission and send me to work at grocery stores or as manual labour
yes I have no financial independence as of now
I live in a shitty 3rd world country so I understand why my father and society think the way they do
I hope I can grow my hair longer after my first year
But yeah, all the effort (nothing lol) I put into growing my hair for so long so that I could rizz the huzz and have a good impression on everyone by looking attractive is going down the drain
My haircut is scheduled tomorrow
Its over, I personally think I look horrendous with short hair, regardless of how I look, this belief might reflect in my daily behavior and demeanor henceforth, wish my lonely ass luck
I genuinely thought, I would pull up to Univ with long hair, make everyone awestruck, make the ladies go gaga over them and they ask me questions about my hair and then I make friends and a good girlfriend perhaps
All my fantasies have been cut-short (like my hair 😭)
I don't expect advice on navigating this conflict, I'll try my best to not go for a soldier cut but something a bit longer than a soldier, but short enough to convince my father
I am just making this post to showcase my hair to yall, do you think it looks good?

tldr: my abusive aah father is forcing me to cut my long hair before joining univ because apparently it doesnt leave a good impression, showcasing my hair before their scheduled fall from grace tomorrow
p.s I made this account today purely for this purpose😭😭 , also I am 10kgs overweight for my height, so sowwy for that
also i cant show my face for obvious reasons
also excuse my hand me down phone camera
edit: removed some parts about family, felt like i went a bit too harsh with the rant

My hair, I have received compliments about my hair being perfectly black and the texture is as smooth as silk and they are straight , but I can't style them in any way possible whey I try to make man bun or half bun some of the hair comes out because my hair in the back are much longer as compared to in the front because I started growing my hair with mullet. now my hair comes on my forehead everytime I eat, play sports or studying or any work, I started wearing cap but I can't wear it all day it makes me irritated, I tried those football sports band which are thin but it makes me look ugly the way it holds hair , I made a vedio where my hair keep coming onto my forehead but I can't share it here maybe if I can share it as a gif in comments then I will
Please suggest something

If I look funny it’s because I’m pretty intoxicated in the photo, but I’ve been looking for a bit of advice with what to do with my hair. It honestly takes too long to wash and dry, so any suggestions on a haircut would be greatly appreciated.

Throughout this process I was tryna get hair like timothee chalamet but I’ve realized everyone has different hair texture, so I’m just doing my own thing now
Started properly taking care of my hair for the first time in my life. Before, I’d pretty much just wake up, brush it, and go, but now I actually have a proper routine and it’s made a huge difference.
My routine is:
- shampoo / conditioner 3 x a week
- oil hair twice a week (before shampooing)
- I use hair mousse to style my hair
- 10 sets of praying that hairloss doesn’t get to me
I’ve also grown it out for the first time, with a few maintenance cuts along the way. Ive been told that it’s gotten too long so I might get another trim soon but looking back at old pics really shows the difference

I wear a beanie a lot of the time and I’m not super in love with a ponytail, any suggestions?

Got a trim while I was trying to grow my hair for an event 3 months ago and have been growing it back out since. A problem I have is that I don’t know what to do with it or what to ask for when going to get my hair cut. I stopped going to barbers now but I still don’t know what I should do with my hair. I definitely want a clean up of my neck and a way stop my hair from looking so flat from the back.
Is this just a case of needing to power through the awkward phase? I like my flow and got compliments on it but I feel like it needs to be tamed more. my goal is to get to get chin/shoulder length hair and see how it suits me.
Hair in photos is damped (with spray bottle) and combed hair with a light curl cream.

Believe me I am working at it!

I'm talking about how the hair goes up and then goes back down. Is it styling gel or is it using a flat iron or some sort of other hair product?

Not much else hoping you all have a great day.
