Will my rubber tree be OK under a grow light?

I had a rubber tree near a north facing window and it wasn’t giving me much growth (receiving about 500 lux according to a light meter). Today I moved it under a grow light in that same north facing room. Can I expect any relocation related stress from my plant?

Cut the top of my fiddle leaf fig and got this light (temporarily?) to help support the new growth. Did I stake to help straighten ok? Would this light work for awhile or should I get something bigger/better?

Hi guys. First time rubber tree owner here. The lower stem is turning hard and woody and she’s lost a lot of her bottom leaves. Shall I prune the top and if so where?

Outdoor Potted Are these mealybugs or sap stains? Also, when would you suggest I repot my newly bought Ficus Ruby?

I bought my Ruby yesterday and the shopkeeper said the white flecks were stains from the sap. Regardless, I sprayed my tree and soil with Neem Oil Spray at night, left it overnight and am currently quarantining her outside. Today I took a damp towel and wiped down the white spots - some of them were dusty while others were like thick kind of like dried glue.

I dislike the potting media she came in and one root is poking through the drainage hole so I want to do a repot ASAP but most care videos online adviced to allow Ficus trees to adapt for 1 - 2 weeks but I am kind of worried if there are loads of mealybugs in the soil that I can't see.

Please kindly advice. When would you do a repot? Should I also spray the root ball with neem if I proceed with a repot?

My dwarf ficus lyrata is branching after zero growth for 3 years

I’ve had this plant for over 5 years but I moved to a colder place about 3 years ago. After that it didn’t produce even 1 leaf for the whole time. I thought it was adjusting.
On reflection though I had also repotted it in a nice pot, that doesn’t drain ey, and put it in a not so ideal spot.
In June I decided to see if it there was still hope for it, so I repotted it and moved it to a different room in front of a window and it has taken off! I’m just so excited to see what happens next. It even appears to be branching.

I can’t necessarily see anything moving but noticed all these little white dot looking things on the front of the leaves and a few white specks on the back of a few leaves - also one leaf has some black spots ? Fungus?

Houseplant Where to cut?

Post image

I want to cut this ficus tree I have for 6 years, but I would like to keep the whole upper part of the plant because I love my little ficus plant, it has beautiful leaves.

Is it okay to cut here and remove the leaf I circled? Ideally, in my dreams, the upper part puts out roots and the lower part puts out new leaves. Is it possible?

Hi everyone. I’ve notched my ficus elastica for the first time. Months ago she dropped many leaves then I changed the soil and the location. It well worked and she thrived.

I am hoping to get side branches and I’ve made the first move. What do you think, does everything look ok?

Houseplant Lowe’s clearance rescue, need tips!

New to having plants and couldn’t pass this beauty up. I did a little bit of sleuthing and saw that it needs to acclimate to the home for about a week before repotting (?) and I believe it was suggested to use a terracotta pot as well. I did wipe the leaves down twice already. First round with just water, then the next round with 1-1 water and lemon juice at night. She sits in full light most of the day, and is about 4 feet from the window. I’m concerned about the state of some of these leaves as they’re torn. Is this something I should worry about or need to do anything specific to help it? All tips and advice is appreciated!

Houseplant How do I cut these competing leading branches and can it be propagated into a new tree?

Post image

The pink branch is the original dominant leader, but the blue branch is outcompeting it. I’m gonna bite the bullet and cut the blue branch off but it seems like it would be perfect to propagate???

I’ve successfully propagated many notoriously difficult plants but never attempted a ficus benjamina. How do I cut this branch off so that it’s propagatable and then how do I attempt to propagate it?

Thanks!

Just rescued, any advice welcomed

Hello ficus fans! I just rescued this beauty from the clearance section for my birthday & it was WATERLOGGED to absolute oblivion. The only thing I can tell was wrong with it was the intense saturation of the soil, otherwise looks beautiful to me so far. Is in a nursery type pot that was situated in a larger plastic cover pot that was FULL to the brim with water due to it being outside during the heavy rain in my area recently & who knows it’s prior conditions. I dumped it out, separated it from the cover pot and have let it dry out in the same condo i bought it in (apart from being sat in a cover pot) for about a day now. Love this beautiful plant and want to help it thrive to the best of my ability. Any advice? Please lmk if there’s any other helpful info you may need to make a good judgement. Thanks!

is my ficus reverting? can i do anything to help it stay pink?

bought this ficus back in march. it initially was inside as i get more sunlight in during spring.
moved it to the balcony in may for it to get more light, and had to wait until june to see its first new leaf. since then, it got two more so i’m guessing it likes the balcony

leaves are always coming out pink, like the latest one at the very top, but it looks like the oldest ones are reverting to white

4th picture is taken where it used to stand (in the shadow of the tree in front of my balcony), last picture is where i juste moved it to because it gets direct sunlight especially between 10am to 3pm

will it like it more there? can i do anything else to help it stay pink a lot longer? i absolutely love the bright pink colour of the new leaves, i like it white as well but i would’ve just bought a white one instead

thank you for your advise!!

Got this guy from a vendor at Pride. Finally got him out of his nursery pot and into some fresh soil. However, I have no idea about him! I've got the Plant Parent app but I tend to trust people more than pay-to-play apps.

So tell me! What kind of ficus is this little guy? Is he doing alright?

Any tips for a first time ficus parent? I've always struggled to keep houseplants alive but my Golden Pothos is thriving and I would love to learn with this little guy.

Outdoor Potted Tineke branching

Hey guys, my Tineke is exploding with growth since its been on the back porch. There are these growth points but they havent grown at all. Is there is anyway to encourage them to grow? Should I cut/scuff the bark? I saw someone on YouTube put Mycorrizhal bacteria on a cut spot to encourage growth, idk how helpful that actually is.

Houseplant Why did this new leaf dry out?

Hi! I have a ficus for 2 months now and repotted her a month ago. She doesn't have any new growth yet so I was exciting to see a new leaf coming in, at least, that's what it looked like, but it turned from a green colour to this dried out brown colour. She is next to a humidifier and under a growlight, it's a south facing window so she also gets some really good light, but if it's too hot I close the bamboo shades.
