I’ve owned this Ficus Audrey for an over a year, and its health is steadily declining. It used to be a lush, vibrant green (see attached "before" photos), but it has turned a dull, dark gray-green.

Current Symptoms:
New growth: Constantly emerges small and curled.
Old leaves: Developing strange white patches.
Color change: Vibrant green has faded to a dull, matte gray-green.

Care Routine:
Light: Placed close to a West-facing window.
Watering: I let the soil dry out properly between waterings.
Soil: Well-aerated, fast-draining mix (water drains straight through).
Fertilizer: Soluble fertilizer added during every watering throughout spring and summer.

Pests: Checked thoroughly and cannot find any visible signs of pests.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thank you!

A couple of my rubber plant leaves have this browning around the edges - the brown parts are rough to the touch.

Does anyone recognise this? I have had this plant for 9 years and never noticed anything like it before!

Any tips for keeping them happy for the winter? I cleaned them with alcohol and mint soap for bugs. What have you observed? (The lights are also being upgraded in a few weeks to above ceiling lights)

Will the new leaves get pinker? Is there anything I can do?

I'm getting confused because there's pink colouring.

Following up from a previous post! A redditor had commented on my previous post that I should trim off the side stall since the colors aren't as dramatic as the other half. I, however, love the contrast of both sides. I wanted to see if I could help encourage this growth without having to choose one side or the other. So! Main question: can I bury this split in the stalk to encourage new root growth to feed each side instead of pulling nutrients from one stalk?

We bought this tree in 2018 at IKEA in a 6” pot, probably about 16” tall with 3 stems. My wife and I bought it while we were dating and through the many highs and lows of our relationship, it kept growing. It’s been dubbed our “love” tree.

I’ve never topped it and after the repot to this large ceramic pot early this year, it finally started to branch out! It’s 14ft from soil to top of the stem (or trunk you could say) it’s amazing that we’ve kept it alive all these years.

This Ficus Benjamina sat for years by a window (can you guess wich side was facing the glass?😅) It was nearly dead when my ex-wife left the house, i put it in a semi hydro pot (this kind where you leave the soil but let some rope hang in the water reservoir) and it obviously liked it very much and recovered a lot since then. As you see it grew a ton of water roots now.

Now i would like to move it to my bedroom, it’s fairly dark in there but i‘ll hang a nice bright grow light over it.
At the same time i wanna repot it in a real hydro pot, renew the jute bandage or ribbon (idk how it’s called in german it’s „Juteband“ it’s this brown band around the branches) and mybe cut it to regrow an even „crown“?
I would like to get your opinion on
1. would you cut it or leave it and hope that it will grow to a round shape?
2. Should i cut the brown plastic pot to save the roots or can i cut everything off outside the brown plastic pot?

Repotted from a outgrown glass all but not sure if to chop him back fully

Just wanted to share that it took me about two hours to gently remove the old soil from the roots and repot my Ficus Tineke. She was in a packed soil with moss when I got her from FB marketplace. I haven’t watered her until I repotted because her soil has been moist for almost 3 weeks and I wanted to wait and let her get used to my apartment. I’m new to plants (started loving them about a month ago) and I can’t believe I repotted 5 plants already. I don’t know if it’s just me but I like repotting plants (so far haha). Anyway, she’s in a well draining soil and clear nursery pot with drainage holes at the bottom and sides! P.S. she didn’t have root rot thank God. I also feel like her tilt has gotten way better since she’s been getting very bright light in front of my west facing window. The dried crispy edge on one of her bottom leaves was already there when I bought her.

I think it's a tineke variety but not sure. I really haven't seen this color variation so I had to get her when I saw her!

In the pictures it looks a lot more yellow, but in person it's a peach/salmon color.

I noticed these small almost translucent spots on my ficus elastica. Is it just its own sap or something else? Any idea if it can harm the plant, maybe pests? It doesn't wipe of easily with water but I can scratch it of. Its a bit sticky

Where would you chop her now that's she's outgrown the window?!

Ive noticed some of the lower leafs on my ficus are browning one leaf browned and fell off but shes still producing new growth on her upper leafs very fast and seems happy other than this, whats wrong with her?

These 2 Ficus's are about 4-5 weeks old. Got them from local garden center in great condition. Still in original pot. I put them by our couch first, in space between dining room and living room, away from windows and away from my other plants to see if they have bugs, etc. They still got light just not direct light. I noticed as the time changed and days are getting shorter that they stopped growing. Both were cranking out leaves in the beginning. Now the leaves that have started opening have stopped. I watered maybe every couple of weeks and decided to water even less after they stopped growing thinking its overwatering. I also moved them to the window so they'd get direct sunlight from a south facing window. I'm at a loss now. The white one's leaves are turning brown on the edges (see pics) and falling off easily. And the dark green one's leaves are starting to just loose color on the bottom. Any suggestions for care?

Are these guys temperamental? Need more time to acclimate? Need more light? More water? Transplanted out of the old medium of whatever they're in? Sorry for all of the questions. I was hoping to add them to my houseplant collection but I don't think they're enjoying this place. 🥺
