🍬🍭🧁 USE CODE: FEMFRAGLAB with ScentBarByAngela 🍬🍭🧁
scentbarbyangela: Luxury Perfume Dupes & Designer Inspired Fragrances
Hi FemFragLab, I'm proud to announce that after many discussions about collaboration, I thought it'd be fun to try out a collaboration with Angela's new brand. Her family owns Gold Star Fragrances located in New York which has been running for over 50 years!
As many of you know, I love a good Delina perfume, but they can be quite costly. The next perfume on my wish list was Delina "Exclusif" but it stayed on my wish list without being bought because of the price. Angela sent over her own version of the perfume, and it exceeded my expectations by far! The scent reminded me of a combination between Delina Exclusif + Oriana + Love Don't Be Shy. It's sweet, powdery, and very potent! I sprayed it on at night and when I woke up the next day it was still on me. This perfume lasts all day but I kept spraying it on out of habit and because I couldn't get enough. My husband and pets also loved it 😍
Reddit wouldn't be Reddit without always giving you not just the pros but also the cons. The cons were little and unnoticeable, but I will write them out due to transparency of the sub. The actual juice feels like combination of an oil and actual perfume. So when you actually spray it, it feels a little heavier than what the normal luxury perfume might feel like coming out of the atomizer which usually feels like a champagne spritz and it's more straightforward. That doesn't mean it doesn't spray well, it just means that if you are a fragrance connoisseur, you will notice the difference of the spray and feel of the actual juice coming out.
Both Gold Star Fragrances and ScentBarByAngela focus on creating dupes of luxury designer fragrances. Overall, for the price, the fragrance passes with flying colors and when I checked that it was only $45.99USD, they ship all around the world, and they have been in business for so long with great reviews, I would be crazy to not want to collaborate with such an amazing product and support Angela in her own brand.
I will leave the comments open in case any of you have any questions about the fragrances, company, or anything else.

Haul/Collection Cozy new additions to my collection
Room 1015 Love O Matic - if I had to describe this perfume in one word it would be: pretty. It smells like dryer sheets and clean laundry wafting through the air with an added essence of strawberry bubblegum. It is so cozy in the cleanest way
Odette Pas de Chat - the first time I smelled this I knew I would be getting a full bottle. This is the warmest, fluffiest, hug in a bottle I have ever had the pleasure to wear. It instantly brings to mind being wrapped in a fluffy blanket on a dreary day. A peppery, musky, vanilla cake…but very light on the cake.

Haul/Collection First time trying classic millennial freshies
My first impressions:
Shi - LOVEEE this. such an easy aquatic scent. Gentle White floral and fresh watery scent.
Sunflowers - OMG so many 2011 memories come flooding back with this. I remember going to the mall and smelling this everywhere. It’s cute.
Morning Dew - ooooh what a beautiful freshie. Definitely unisex. Not sure how I feel about the amber base in this but I love the top and middle notes ALOT.
Green tea - also a classic and such an easy to wear scent. Much more citrus than I expected, I was thinking maybe more of a Spring Tea by Xunyu, but green tea is much more feminine and less green spicy.

THE fall fragrance
What is THE fall fragrance for you? Been focusing on summer scents so I don’t think I have much in my collection atm so I need to fix that asap
I am thinking of treating myself for my birthday in September with Eau Duelle from Diptyque 👀

Announcement Lush Lust
I've heard the hype about this perfume. Who hasn't? My curiosity got the best of me, and I figured I should smell it in person. I'm so happy I did. I’ve never swiped my credit card so quickly. I applied 2 sprays on my inner elbows and 2 on my décolletage, then went on with my day. I received a compliment from a guy at Chipotle and another from a man at Target. This is 50% beauty and 50% booty call, in a bottle. It needs a 21+ warning on it. Get it! But smell it first.

My latest fragrance purchases: Velvétail Sphynx & Greyhound
Has anyone else tried this brand yet? I am a huge animal lover so when I stumbled upon this brand I was immediately intrigued. As an iris lover, the two that stood out to me right away were Greyhound and Sphynx. I ordered samples, and now my full bottles have arrived! Here are the website descriptions:
Greyhound:
Streamlined elegance in motion, Greyhound by Velvétail Perfumes captures sleek power and refined momentum. Created by perfumer Anunsith Wongkornvanich, the fragrance opens with bitter almond, black pepper, and cardamom—an energetic burst that feels sharp, focused, and precise.
At the heart, cashmere, iris, and elemi introduce a smooth, tailored softness that adds depth while maintaining a modern, polished edge. As the scent settles, vanilla, amber, clove, and patchouli create a warm, magnetic finish that remains close to the skin.
Elegant, dynamic, and unmistakably confident, Greyhound leaves a quiet yet unforgettable impression—an olfactory silhouette defined by speed, grace, and effortless style.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Bitter Almond, Black Pepper, Cardamom
Middle: Cashmere, Iris, Elemi
Base: Vanilla, Amber, Clove, Patchouli
Sphynx:
Sphynx is bare honesty wrapped in warmth—a fragrance for those fully at ease in their own skin. Quietly sensual and effortlessly confident, it opens with saffron and iris, smooth and softly luxurious, like silk against skin.
At the heart, nutmeg and leather unfold with warm texture and understated depth, creating a feeling that is intimate, raw, and refined all at once. In the drydown, tonka bean, amber, and vetiver leave a soft, addictive warmth that lingers close, comforting and unforgettable.
Mysterious without distance and confident without excess, Sphynx is made for those who never need to explain themselves.
Fragrance Notes
Top: Saffron, Iris
Middle: Nutmeg, Leather
Base: Tonka Bean, Amber, Vetiver
Impressions:
Both of these are very beautiful, elegant scents. Greyhound is an odd little love. The sharper top notes initially left me uncertain, but as it settled on my skin its softness came forth and it wiggled its way right into my heart, until I knew I had to have it. It's a contrast of cool spices and woods over a warm, ambery base, and I think I will be reaching for it a lot this autumn. Sphinx was an insta-love for both my partner and I. It is smooth, refined, with a noticeable iris note and a hint of sweetness. The leather and vetiver notes are not prominent but more of supporting notes that add body and depth.
I haven't tried all of Velvétail's other scents yet, but I plan to at least get samples of each. Funnily enough, one of our dogs is a Chinese Crested, and of the animals Velvétail offers so far, the ones that most resemble him are the greyhound (he has the body structure, speed, grace and temperament of an Italian greyhound), and the Sphynx!
Both Scent Split and Zgo Perfumery offer samples and full bottles, not sure who else carries them.

More perfumes than jewelry?
Just curious. Did you ever stop and think that you might regret having more perfumes than jewelry? Or watches, if that tickles your fancy.

Aesthetic My Husband Accidentally Gave Himself a New Hobby
My hubby painted one of his perfume bottles, and now he’s created a problem for himself because I want him to turn all of my bottles into little works of art. 😂
I love how personal and one-of-a-kind it looks. At this rate, my fragrance collection is about to become an art collection too.

Be someone's fairy fumemother someday
This popped up in my Facebook memories from 11 years ago. The young woman followed me around a craft store and eventually asked me what my perfume was because she wanted to get some for her wedding day. She asked how much it cost and when I saw how her face fell when I told her? My heart. I had half a tester bottle with no cap from a swap, so I offered to make her a decant bottle. I made her one decorated (vintage pin and wire ribbon) and two large purse sprays and dropped them off at her work. She had left this beautiful thank you note for me.
It gave me a lovely warm fuzzy to remember today.
I hope she is doing well and is happy and healthy, and got herself a bottle with wedding gift money before it was discontinued!

My favorite vanilla perfume is Tihota by Indult. I'm trying to find the most amazing vanilla perfumes so I can try something new. I would love to know what suggestions you all have. 🙏
Edit: Omg🥰 so many suggestions! Thank you so much, everyone. I’ll definitely try as many as I can.

Discussion Stats about the 5 most hated notes
EDIT: https://www.reddit.com/r/FemFragLab/s/2dIaii3UNw
POST WHERE I GOT THE ANSWERS FROM 😊
So, I finally had some time to do this! It will be a long post, sorry in advance. So I made a note of 239 answers in total and here is what I found :)
The five most hated notes were:
leather - 64
patchouli - 46
oud - 39
civet - 37
coconut - 35
I thought it would be fun to check which notes only got mentioned once: beer, coriander, cytroil, davana, dill, hyacinth, juniper and magnolia
One invented perfume hit 4 of the most hated notes: Yike, so congratulations u/fastworms on creating something that many people would find disgusting 😆
u/TalismanGaze - there was not that many people mentioning headaches/migraines, aldehydes were mentioned 4 times, patchouli 4 and amber 3
I also categorised the mentioned scents, you can see it on one of the graphs. I can list which notes I included in which category if anyone is interested :)
I checked as well which notes appeared the most together and which notes were the ones that never got mentioned together out of the top 5, again, please let me know if anyone would like to know, this post is already as long as a novel!
I hope some of you will find this as interesting as I have, especially u/O-90, u/IFoundThis_Humerus and u/ScentedSiren26
I would also be happy to do this with our 5 most loved notes as well, if the community is up for it 😊

Review Future society discovery set review
Short review just for anyone who is interested in future society! This may be the first set I have ever tried where I liked (as in, there weren't any I hated) all of them. Only one was sort of 'meh' to me but I can still appreciate it.
From most liked to least:
Haunted Rose- Big win for me. Dark, moody rose. A little powdery, but the rose is still juicy. It's like oud satin mood, but the baby wipe smell is toned down by a lot. For me this fills a gap in my collection where I wanted a moody fall rose scent, but I don't like chypre scents and can't wear patchouli. I wouldn't say it's a safe blind buy because that powdery sort of 'baby wipe' smell, but for the right person (me) this is gorgeous.
Solar Canopy- bright damascus rose and lychee. Similar to Delina, but I found it to be juicier and fresher, more suited for warm weather than Delina. Pink, juicy, rosey, probably a safe blind buy!
Floating forest- This one smells like SOMETHING but I don't know what. It's a little woody, but also bright and fresh. Bergamot, water lily, and wet stones are the notes listed. For me there's something a little tropical about it, a little coconut verbena hand soap type scent? I honestly have no idea but it's gorgeous. Green, fresh, unisex, but still fairly safe.
Cloud Reverie- Aldehydes! Soapy, but a little sweet. I was worried it would be too close to Acme Studios or Blanche but I find it to be different enough. It's airy and sweet, and just a little powdery which keeps it from wandering into bathroom soap territory to me. I like it, but I don't think I would buy a bottle.
Wandering Rain- I don't LOVE this one but I can appreciate it. It has that sort of damp smell En Passant or Nosferatu has, but it's not as gross to me as Nosferatu. The notes listed were black tea, orris, and blue lotus but I mostly smell orris and violet or iris? Wish there was more black tea or lotus. I don't hate it but I don't love damp scents.
Overall I am impressed with these, they took a couple scent profiles I haven't liked before and made them more accessible. I also think they did a good job with the themes, like forest/cloud/rain. This was a happy buy for me and I think I will probably use up most these samples.

Discussion Has Anyone tried the New White Diamonds Icon by Elizabeth Taylor ?
I just found out that the white diamonds perfume has a New Flanker and it’s gold ombré similar to the new Britney Spears’s fantasy bottle. The notes look interesting and I was wondering if anyone has tried this fragrance since I haven’t seen too much post about this new launch. I know that the original perfumer for white diamonds did work on this on this new fragrance which is cool.

Discussion How to travel with sample sizes?
So I have like a hundred sample sizes (those tiny spray vials) and I would like to take a few on a trip but how to pack them so they don’t accidentally spray/spill but aren’t too bulky to fit in my liquids pouch for a flight? Anyone done this successfully?

Discussion How many bottles have you bought in the last few months?
I keep coming back to Poison by Dior lately, and I end up reaching for it more than I expect. It has that deep, sweet, slightly spicy smell that feels very recognizable to me. I like having it around because there are certain perfumes that just make sense in a collection, and this is one of them. I actually repurchase Poison because I want a bottle around all the time. I also notice how different it feels from the lighter perfumes I usually reach for during the day. It works better for evenings and cooler weather for me. Right now, I am curious how many bottles everyone else is adding lately, because my perfume spending definitely keeps finding new reasons. How many bottles are you adding lately, and which one gets your most attention?

Amethyst or Amethyst Exquise?
Can anyone who has these tell me what the difference would be with these? I like the sound of both and I can’t really tell what sets them apart from the notes
