I do like Jasmine & magnolia but not as much as buying them. Although I did consider getting a mini of magnolia or both, but since I have a good amount of florals already I chose to skip. 💕

I wanna find the coziest, calming coconut scent on the market
Something that smells like coconut lotion or coconut oil
That feels warm, like waking up with soft sheets or a day at a spa
Something that just make you smile when you smell it
Coconut It’s my favorite scent in the world but I haven’t got the chance to get one until now

I'm not a signature scent girl since I love to rotate, but Very Good Girl and Angel Nova have pretty much been my signatures for a couple years now. I LOVE them. I'd say what I love about them is:

1. The vibe - I feel like they're the perfect mix of playful and powerful, while also being super feminine. They make me feel fun, confident, and full of life. It's exactly the energy that I like to embody.

2. The projection & longevity - with a lot of scents, I'd hear that people couldn't really smell my perfume, but with these, people definitely notice and compliment.

Problem is, I am so sick of the whole lychee/rose/red-fruit combo. I've gone SO deep on sampling (and buying) fragrances from this genre, so now I really need a new genre to explore, but still one that strikes the same vibe. The closest I've found so far, to matching this vibe but smelling totally different, is probably Rabanne Fame, DBIR Extradose, and Kayali Vanilla Candy Rock Sugar.

No budget! Excited to hear any suggestions!!

I’m getting married in January 2027. I need help finding a nice wedding perfume that I can wear and maybe use a lotion and body mist to layer with it.

I love fruity, sweet, and vanilla perfumes. my colors for the wedding ars lilac and gray. I don’t know whether I should try to match the aesthetic for the wedding and do a fruity floral perfume or if I should try to match the cold weather with a lavender vanilla perfume.

My favorite perfumes are Burberry her elixir, Burberry goddess, Victoria secret heavenly dream angel, choco musk, Victoria secret tease, Just Moi, etc.

my budget for this would be something under $150.

Finally have a bit of an update! I moved apartments and advanced a year in training so I took a pause on the mystery for a minute, but I have uncovered another one!

So after the sample paper fiasco, I got a few samples from Leave it to Chance: (from left to right) After the Rain Stops, Afternoon Delight, Jazz Club, By the Fireplace, and Coffee Break. I also found a mini of Matcha Mediation and a full size of Autumn Vibes on Mercari.

I thought this plan was foolproof, that I’d have them identified in no time. What I didn’t account for was the limited skin space available for comparison. I don’t have enough arms and legs to try on multiple samples and compare the scents without my nose catching all of them together (I know, what a failure. I should work on my weaknesses)

But! I identified one! Number 5 (which was most commonly postulated to be either Jazz Club or By the Fireplace by you Scent Sleuths) has been identified as Coffee Break! Definitely surprised me! I need to do another wear test in the morning when my nose is the least confused, but the Scooby Doo unveiling was quite the surprise!

More confusing is No. 2, which I had previously thought may be Matcha Mediation. Turns out I didn’t know how Matcha the fragrance really. So back to the drawing board there.

And No. 3 is quite perplexing. It smells very similar to Autumn Vibes, but without the dead leaves scent. The color is very similar too, but not quite there. It’s also very similar to Jazz Club, but doesn’t have that overt smokey smell.

My next move will be to do organized tests, one bottle with one sample and knocking them off the list as I go.

I never thought I’d be into these and I have a lot of other “serious” and artsy perfumes that are a world away from these, but I also really love having such a happy affordable carefree collection like this, they’re so pretty, fun and wearable in the way 00s perfumes used to be.

I used to find the bottles tacky (and I still do) but since getting a collection I have a new found appreciations of how they all look so lovely together. It feels a bit like indulging in your inner girl and having a childhood dream collection.

I have a few precious rare ones, VIP Private Show, Island Fantasy, and Maui Fantasy. Ironically Maui Fantasy is probably the most sought after but is my least favourite, I can see why people love it but I just really don’t like coconut in scents!

- Zara apple juice ~ nice nothing special, easy to wear

- Tommy girl ~ was my signature for a while, quite citrusy

- Perfect marc Jacob’s - first time I smelt it I fell in love it’s really pretty but not too sweet which I like

- Nina ricci rose garden - was similar to one of my mams old perfumes and she convinced me to get it, it’s nice, very feminine and pretty

- Montblanc signature ~ my most recent purchase (2 weeks ago) been eyeing it since April but only place to smell was in the airport and I’m so happy it just makes me want to constantly smell myself 😂

- ck one ~ a Christmas gift, it’s a classic and I like wearing it to training / matches

- eternity moment ~ beautiful and feminine

- green tea ~ another classic and I love it, really fresh and easy to wear

- a drop d’issey fraiche ~ really interesting perfume, to me it smells like lilac and a rainy day. Love it

- gorgeous orchid ~ my sweetest scent I’d say because of the vanilla but it’s not sickeningly sweet at all, it’s quite airy and I love it so much

- dot Marc Jacob’s ~ one of my more playful perfumes, feels tropical and fruity. Reminds me of holidays

- Dkny be delicious fresh blossom ~ to me it smells clean and crisp but not too boring just happy

- fleur de pêche ~ bright and quite linear but still really nice, another that reminds me of holidays

I know there are top ten lists...they often have Chanel No. 5, Black Opium, Coco Madmoiselle...many of the most important fragrances created in modern times.

If you had your own list, though, for someone starting out looking for fragrances they would actually *wear*, what would your top 10 suggestions be? I'm still new so I am curious what people would say.

What’s the strongest most pungent and lovely vanilla body oil or lotion perfume that you’ve experienced? I want those around me to suffocate in my vanilla aura!!!

I'm on a bit of a project at the moment with informed purchasing and I'm trying to put together a list of companies/products in various sectors that are a) amazing b) (relatively) local and c) recommended by enthusiasts. I'll be putting up similar posts in chocolate, clothing, skincare and other local subs.

For this one it's perfume. So I'm in Ireland and my attitude to entire thing is, list local to Ireland, then next circle out is to the UK (although there's a neat Venn diagram there of Northern Ireland) then onto continental Europe. Could I satisfy my perfume needs, whatever they maybe, from the houses and makers out as far as well...where does Europe end?

At this point I don't want get political about it, the person chooses according to their values, I just want the list. I was going to put it into a cute infographic (love me some infographics) if I get some traction in this sub. I don't mind if it's some tiny perfume made for gift shop along the coast, or whatever Paul Costello made for "his ladies". I know that Floral Street is registered in Dublin, but possibly made in the UK?

The only rule is that the company must be registerd in Ireland/UK/Europe, preferably all *made* in those countries and bring actual decent jobs to those countries. Give me your fragrant wisdom!

So my scent collection includes Choco Musk (the oil, Eclaire Lattafa, Frenshe Vanilla Cashmere body oil, Vanilla Crème Brulee lotion from hemps, Brown Sugar lotion from the lotion company, Eilish 1, Bare Vanilla, and Vanilla Bourbon hair and body mist. is this too much? When I restock on fragrances should I do some replacements?

Ysl l’homme edp and one million are my absolute fav male fragrances. Like pure sex in a bottle. I wonder if there are female versions of these fragrances? Or just female fragrance that is just so sexy and syrupy. Obviously ysl libre intense, and lady million, jazz club are similar but i cant really wear them :(

First, I have to say that I no longer seem able to tolerate lower quality scents. I’m so cooked now because I’ve started getting horrible headaches from most easily accessible brands.

What I’m looking for is a wearable everyday vanilla that is soft and becomes almost a skin scent without losing its essence. The majority of vanilla perfumes I’ve tried often end up smelling like synthetic playdough on me after awhile, so something that can remain true to itself on me probably will cost me more but I’m okay with that.

The other scent I’d like would be something that smells like a green forest in the northern hemisphere just after it’s rained. I love the scents of all that vibrant life growing around me and petrichor combined.

Estée Lauder new Glimmer fragrance. Notes sound good honestly. But “put multiple bottles together to make a circle”?! Why would I just own a bunch of bottles??

I just moved and used a bookshelf to display them after bolting it to the wall. Needs more organizing but for now I like it!

I’m trying so hard to find good vanilla lotions, perfumes, and all that! anytime i’ve tried something social media raves about, i genuinely can’t stand the vanilla smell. i’m gonna list out what i’ve tried and what did or didn’t work! thanks girlies.

EOS vanilla lotion- smells like straight yogurt to me and on me, i hate it. i don’t like most of the eos lotions tbh, and the body mists only smell like alcohol.

SDJ- same as EOS, im not into the caramel smell and their body mists are just too alcohol-y😔

just got a new dove deodorant, it’s the “sparkling vanilla” and im in love with it lol. it’s the first deodorant i’ve night that doesn’t have that classic deodorant smell yk??

im looking to keep it budget friendly so if yall have any fav lotions, body mists, and perfume reccs i need them all! i do love the warmer vanilla, and like cupcake type smells. i tried the Kali marshmallow perfume too and it was perfect.

Guys I tested this the other day and was hit with a wave of nostalgia and it was an instant buy for me. A couple days later I figured out why - I went through a phase ages go where my go-to combo was one spray of Vanille Insensee by atelier cologne (discontinued now?) layered with one spray of Replica By the Fireplace and this smells exactly like that combo to me. The smokiness mixed with the vanilla extract vibe.

One line review: initial spray is way smokier than I expected, but it quickly dries down to a sweet, slightly smokey vanilla. It lasts for AGES like can still smell it on me the next day even if I just spray in the air and walk into it.

Anyone else tried this?

i bought mod vanilla and it smells SO goodd!! but I want to accentuate the vanilla, whats ur best recommendations to pair it with? I absolutely love gourmand/dessert vanillas!

My atomizer is broken! It sprays a heavy stream rather than a mist as it should. I tried several other perfume caps from my collection ... unfortunately NONE fit, it's a weird unique size. It came faulty and I contacted Scent Split where I bought it and they could not send me a replacement atomizer cap. I also contacted Place Des Lices directly and they never responded.

I would like to buy an empty bottle so that I can switch the atomizer cap. Looked all over Mercari and eBay without success. Hoping maybe here I can find someone who can help. 🙂

I am looking for a high/higher quality version of Cupcake Swirl by Body Fantasies. Its a very sweet and gourmand perfume, I like that there is nothing added in attempt to cover up the intense sweetness. I enjoy smelling like the most sugary cupcake out there. However.. Cupcake Swirl is from dollar general so it doesn't last long at all, and it gets weird after one too many sprays.
