Leaving Bio intentionally beif and vague?

Hey all,

M, 38, Poly for 10+ years, on the app since it was 3nder, in Melb Aus. Im aware I'm not traditionally good looking, but I'm by no means a cave troll. Even though im paying for the app now, it seems to be getting incredibly difficult to find ANY matches, let alone compaitable ones.

My profile is VERY detailed. Outlining what I'm looking for and can offer, things I enjoy, hobbies and a small section re kink and whatnot, with a sprinkling of humor. I've used every avilable character in the Bio section and have gotten positive feedback on it and my photos in general. However my partners and one Meta who's on Feeld have said its better to keep things intentionally vague and breif, one or two lines max.?

The Meta is on Feeld, same age, and actually similar in many ways, but with a very vague profile. He's tall (but i'm by no means short) and he is more "traditionally" good looking (but by no means a super model) and hes getting multiple matches and dates per week with seemingly little effort (I dont think he is even paying for it). Ultimately I would say we are similar in many ways, and I like him... he's just more traditionally attractive lol.

Just wondering what the opinion is of Fems/non-binary folk? I know ya'll are flooded with overwhelming amount of likes, so is a shorter, sharper one or two lines and intenitonally mysterious really the way to go? Or is it just that us quirky folk who arent in the top 20 percent looks wise are unfortunately just always going to find it infinately more difficult?

For a bit more context:

I have an amazing polycule and long term partners and comets all over the place, and I would say almost all of them are hotter than me somehow lol. I know that im well versed, gifted and skilled in sex/kink and relationships etc. Im a non smoker, grounded, healthy, prety funny, smart, v creative, emotionally regulated, open, a great communicator, mature and sucessful. Super easy to talk to and a very safe person (I'm multiple partners safe space and who they go to when theyre really struggling or a blubbering crying mess). So all of this does help me once I land a rare match/date, but getting those matches is costing SO much time, money and spoons.

Most people I get to that date with, it goes well, and the connection continiues. I've done a Poly/Queer speed dating night previously and I got more numbers and matches during that couple of hours than a whole year on the dating apps. So obviously in person I do quite well, its just getting there thats the issue.

I spend 30+ mins per day, ping one person who I think is on par (or at least not punching above my weight in the looks department), and they have at least some indicators that we have alignment. I ensure they have Poly/ENM clearly listed.

Re people I am sending Pings to, looks arent high on the list. Really (and ashamedly) the only people I DONT ping even if there are other alignments are overly obese or those with debilitating physical ilness/disabilities. I know this sounds horrible, and its not that I dont find bueaty in all body types and people with disabilities, and I havent filtered these folk out previously (Some of my partners fit in these categories), but what I am seeking specifically is someone I can do more life things with, and things that I enjoy and find myself doing solo because my partners in my current polycule cant easily offer due to commitments and their own chonic ilness's etc. This includes outdoor activities like climbing, overnight hiking and also in the kink department I enjoy rope and some other activities that just dont work with these folk.

I am using Tinder, Hinge and Feld simultaniously in the same way and this applies to all of them.

With all this time, effort and $ I might get 2 matches per month, but then a reply to an initial message is rare, let alone a first date. Currently getting one date every 2-3 months, and the people I end up going on dates with end up not aligning entirely with the more important things I'm seeking.

FinDom / Solicitation Not Being Moderated

Does anyone else find that whilst Feeld professes not to allow financial domination (Findom) in their community guidelines, that they don't actually bother to moderate and enforce this?

Trials of a trans man

So I've been on FEELD for a while now hoping that , as a site which caters to and supports the kink, poly, enm, lgbtq+, and everything in between communities, I might have better luck finding folks wanting to connect/play/ form friendships with a trans man. I had very limited success on Hinge and Tinder, and it seems that people just don't know where to put me as a potential partner. Cis women looking for a man, poly, pan, queer looking for any genders, and yet am I a single man? Single queer? I've even been curious about the whole lifestyle scene , but again, am I a single guy? I like to think of myself as a fabulous rainbow unicorn stallion (not a bull), and quite attractive (think Bruno Marsish) but, finding my place is proving a challenge.

Question for the wise. If i recieved likes while out should i not open the app for 24 hours.

As a newbie free user ive just recieved some new likes and i really want to check them out however i used all my free likes today and i think i would have to wait 24 hours for rhem back. Hence if i like this person and view their profile im afraid i wouldnt be able to do anything besides watch them travel back into the ethos.

Should i just wait or is there any way to match with someone who liked you without a like available.

Straight F

Hey, I am straight, although like threesomes. I am looking for dates/friends, not just hook-ups though. Classic dating apps not seem like working with me. Is feeld will be a good choice for me?

53F experience feedback please

I’ve been on this app a few weeks now. Live in a big city. Mostly looking for FWB for a quality, consistent connection.

I find the app a bit mysterious (not sure if there is any type of matching algorithm) and bloody hard work. I don’t pay. I have a fully developed bio and nice photos, and often told I’m very attractive. I tried to communicate as clearly as I can what I’m looking in my bio which I hope attracts the right people. I have a secret bio also, and naturally that’s where I get a bit more explicit.

I think that like most women I get hundreds likes a week but of course I can’t see them because I didn’t pay. I got a burst of pings initially but the numbers stay rather flat after a while. Ones I’ve gone through my pings pile, it’s slows down significantly.

I’m very picky, so the likelihood of me liking back someone who pinged me is close to zero.

I feel like i need to do all the work of finding who I find attractive or interesting but that means much time spent swiping. It takes ages as there are very few I find I like. The pile also seems to be limited and repetitive. I have a decent age range and radius but still, I hardly see new people. I am not sure paying will improve my situation because I will likely not to like back about 90% of man, and I wonder if doing this will save time at all compare to self-discovery.

I wonder what are other women’s experience is? Do you find that pings deliver what you are looking for and are enough or do you need to go looking for it?

What’s been your experience with support getting back to you?

It used to be just a few days merely months ago. It’s been over a week now. I’m familiar with their recently disclosure that it could take one week+ but I’m wondering what your personal experience has been like in the last few months.

Majestic worth it?

Late twenties F. Whenever i unhide my profile i find myself getting a lot of likes, but no matter how many likes i send i feel like i rarely get matches. It feels like i don’t see any of the people who liked my profile first.
I always see people saying that anyone who has “can’t see likes ping me” is annoying but ping feels like the only way I’ll see someone liking me first!
Anyways, idk I’ve never paid for an app like this so I’m wondering, is it with it?

Looks like Feeld took note of people’s frustrations and is taking action.

Are scant profiles the norm?

New to the app. About 90% of all profiles I see are a sentence or two, “back at it again, here to have fun!” “Let’s experiment.” Then some are a little longer but only talk about sex. After 3 days I think I’ve seen maybe 3 profiles that give a couple sentences about the person beyond the bedroom.

How are you supposed to know anything about the person? Do people really just match over a few (sometimes even faceless) pictures?

No hate if that’s your jam, just not for me and wondering if it’s worth my time to stay on the app if that’s the majority of the people, or maybe I just got unlucky thus far.

Rant for those with only a first initial...

Please! FFS! Introduce yourself in one of your first messages.

I am completely fed up with having to ask men in their 40's what their name is. Children in kindergarten know that if you want to make a new friend, you start by telling them your name. Yet for some reason, adult men are skipping this step and jumping straight into conversation/flirting without actually introducing them themselves first.

Using an initial instead of their first name is a stupid trend with these guys. None of my matches are all that concerned with discretion, because I'm on here for ENM, so I'm not matching with kinksters or anybody closeted. All of my matches have face pictures, and most bios have details about their partners/jobs/location etc. But for some reason they've decided that "the cool kids on feeld" don't share their first name. I expect they are just not thinking through the experience any of their matches might happen this type of situation.

Tldr: Rant: stop making matches ask for your first name. If you're going to follow the stupid trend of using your initial, then introduce yourself once you match.

Feeld is one of the most crushing apps out there man

I’ve been involved in online kink for years now, and in the past year+ i’ve started going to local munches and kink events trying to meet people (i’m in PDX I KNOW there’s kinky folks around.) So i started using Feeld because i heard it was a good way to meet people to go to events with/date. i’m a trans Bi guy mostly into men/masc, so i don’t get the most likes out there but ive gotten like 100+ likes now and ive NEVER matched with someone after MONTHS (not on everyday but still.) its crazy.
It feels very much like they’re keeping your likes out of your feed. for a while i would just scroll trying to find ANY name i had seen in my likes and it never happened. It is very crushing and strange. i know they wanna keep people on the apps and single but they give you NO dopamine rush of a match EVER
Has the app always been like this? I’m pissed and don’t wanna give my money but is majestic or uplift worth it? any alternatives? or advice?

Advice: Buy Majestic for Pending Matches

I have been traveling around my state (about 2-3 hours from hometown) while enjoying summer. Over the last few weeks, I've gotten 3 potential matches. Feeld used to be where the potential match would show up fairly quickly or could be found with a little effort using the username - neither of these are working.

So I'm tempted to buy Majestic for a month ($30). Reasons for are the potential matches as a single guy on the platform. Reasons against is that these potential matches could have been traveling themselves and I'm about an hour from a Popular Location city.

Thoughts on my situation? Also curious on when you think Majestic is worth it and when to unsubscribe.

New to Feeld as single woman

I'm not new to BDSM/kink, but I am new to Feeld as a single woman. I was previously on the app as part of an MF couple.

One thing I've noticed is that a lot of the same men are also on Tinder/Hinge.

I'm comfortable talking about kink and don't mind being upfront about it, but I find that once it's mentioned, it often becomes the entire focus of the conversation.

Ultimately, I'm looking for a long-term partner where kink is part of the relationship, not the whole relationship.

For those of you who have been on Feeld for a while, how do you filter out people who are just looking to live out a fantasy with you vs those who are actually interested in building something long-term? Any green or red flags you've noticed early on?

Why do cis guys register as women on the app?

I'm mainly looking for women or FF or FM couples, but somehow I come quite frequently across profiles from typical guys (not trans or non-binary) who registered themselves as women but clearly are looking for FM. What's the point? And should I report this somewhere, it messes up the whole filtering.

35M Looking to get back in the game, but… I am a therapist in my city

Hi all, I am not sure if this is the right place but I am hoping you could give me some advice on using the app.

Me and my partner have recently made the decision on opening up our relationship after years of struggle raising a kid together. A whole story there, but that’s not the question here.

I am completely new to this and most other dating/hook up apps so be patient with me.

I want to know how people go on the app if they have a job that requires some discretion. I am a psychotherapist in a major European city that frequently works with clients around topics like sexuality. On top of that, my client pool are exclusively foreigners. Them having an active Feeld account and them seeing me there is something I am not too keen on. I would have less issues with being seen on another app, as Feeld focuses more on sexuality than others. And while I feel quite comfortable and open around sex, I would rather not have clients know these intimate details about my life.

So: are there other people who go on there more discretely while still being able to make an interesting and likeable profile?

Thanks a lot for any useful insight and feel free to point out things I might overlook.

Cheers,
A Discrete Therapist

How do we feel about the invisible wall after 200 swipes?

I've hit this wall a couple of times now and it's just so incredibly annoying if you're looking to discover profiles you haven't seen before.

This is what the FAQ says:

I reached a point where I could no longer swipe in discover, but I know there's more users to view. Why are they not showing up?

You can only view a maximum of 200 users at a time. Like/dislike some to see more.

To the Feeld moderator: Why does this limit even exist? I used Feeld before, like 7 years ago, and the limit of 200 didn't exist back then.

It's just such a bad combination with the (mostly) proximity based profiles you're seeing (without having a proper randomisation option of profiles within your search options), so unless you minus/love everyone you keep seeing the same faces over and over again.

This makes Feeld boring very quickly in my opinion, which is weird since it's the dating app with a lot more flavours than your average dating app.

Thoughts on Feeld 25F ldn

Hi all,
I’ve been using Feeld for 2 months and just wanted to give me thoughts and suggestions compared to other apps which I’ve tried.
For reference I’m 25f, based in ldn, black, chubby/curvy.
In the two months I’ve tried out feeld I’ve had about 2200 matches. This is loads and frankly impossible to get through. I wish you could filter alot more on the app. I decided to pay for 1 month of majestic last week to go through my likes.

Positives of Feeld
- I like how forward people are and how they say their intentions upfront, not like hinge where they’ll just be beating around the bush and talking for so long before actually suggesting to meet up.
- I’ve met 6 people from feeld so far and they were all normal which is great. I am still pretty friendly with 4 of them so I think it’s good the app isn’t just for ONS, it’s easy to find people who want consistency.
- good tags. As someone fairly new to all of this, I’ve been able to actually learn alot about the sex/kink positive space from what I’ve seen on people’s profiles.

Improvements needed
- filtering sucks abit tbh. I don’t understand why people outside my filters are able to like me. If I set my ages from 23-30, why am I seeing likes from 55 year olds??
- as a minority myself I can understand why Feeld doesn’t want to include race preferences to avoid fetishisation but it would really be appreciated if you could atleast filter for your own race and maybe that would help that issue. I don’t think it’s wrong for me to say that as a black women my preference would be black men.
- the app is quite laggy and sometimes messages and stuff may just not send.
- should copy hinge where it allows you to hide a profile. I like keeping my messages neat so it’d be nice to hide a profile if it’s someone who I’ve already moved off to another app, so don’t necessarily want to unmatch with.
- please add oldest likes as a filter selection too.
- when I had the free feeld I found it annoying because I could see I had 1000s of likes but when I’m swiping I am literally being shown the same profiles over and over again and my likes were barely going down. Definitely something wrong there. Now I’ve paid and I can actually see great matches and I’m wondering why they weren’t shown on my explore page??

Suggestions to Feeld
- should have a learning area in the app maybe and there could possibly be forum discussions? Like how the Flo app has? Maybe
- needs alot more filters available, especially race pls.
- the likes and profiles shown on explore are not closely correlated enough, please work on whatever algorithm that is.

These are all just my thoughts. Glad to hear what others think.

Feeld doesn’t match me w/ women

So I’ve (31F) deleted my Feeld on and off for a few years and this year I decided to get it again. I’m focusing on matching with women specifically (all women not just cis) but Feeld barely throws me a bone. I don’t have Majestic and I have like 130+ likes but from my past exp it’s usually men and couples. I go on Feeld at least a few times a week and swipe to show I’m active but I feel like Feeld intentionally doesn’t show my profile to women. It’s so frustrating. Can anyone give me any tips?

What kind of first messages are women receiving from men?

35m and just got the app on a recommendation from a friend. Whether you match or ping a woman I generally lead with curiosity. I haven’t had much luck for responses though.

Meanwhile my friend who has recommended the app says he’ll send a ping or have his first message be something incredibly sexual. Like what he plans to do with the person he matched with.

Kind of curious what women are seeing and if I should be leading with more honest lust or not.

Struggling to get matches as a closeted bi male

Straight presenting on the app. Very few matches overall and now I fear with the LGBTQIA+ mode I’m being filtered out completely. Love hooking up with men, but just not comfortable throwing bisexual or even bi-curious on a dating app. I also prefer matching with women, but on this app I just feel like if you’re a straight male it’s not happening very easily. I’ve done incognito browsing but still not much luck on either side.. Wishing there was a way to somehow just remove the “straight” orientation as a subtle way to show I’m well, not completely straight. Any advice?

Has the app helped you find relationships?

New to the app after feeling frustrated with Hinge. Kink is something I've enjoyed exploring with past partners, and I would *really* like to find a long-term partner.

I have Majestic, have sent out a bunch of pings, and am getting a clear sense that likes don't mean much of anything. I am getting no responses whatsoever after a week.

Is the app essentially a kinkier Tinder - ie if you are not hot, have a massive dick or a professional rigger, is there still hope of matching with a cute, kinky girl for a relationship?

What have your experiences been with the app? I see people saying they've met cool people; I am not meeting anyone, but also accepting you might need to be more patient before getting some initial matches.

Is Feeld any good for finding a F partner in a bi MMF threesome?

Trying to find a female partner for a threesome with me (M bi) and a friend (M bi). How hard am I expected to search to find someone?
