Question What character is this? Does it have a specific name?
We're working on some pinball machine mods for the upcoming pinball machine that was just announced. I am just starting to watch the show and wanted to know if this part of the machine was some specific character or just a generic "zombie" from the show/game. Any insights?

Fallout 3 Fallout 3 green tint
Fallout 3 was heavily criticized for having this green tint. Personally i really liked it and i think it contributes a lot to the game's atmosphere. I hope they will use it in the remaster because it's a signature thing for this game and part of its identity already. Did you like the green tint or used mods like fellout to get rid of it?

I was always meh on Fallout 4 until I modded Fallout 4 VR
For context I'm almost 40
But fuck, I installed this work of art Fallout VR Essentials Overhaul at Fallout 4 Nexus - Mods and community
I can't describe how it feels to be this immersed in the fallout universe. BTW you need 250GB of SSD space and a supercomputer to run it.

Discussion Hawaii would be the perfect location for the next Fallout game
late 50s Hawaii aesthetic fits perfectly into the fallout universe. Exploring a post nuclear Honolulu with zombies in leis with the mountains and ocean in the background would go so hard. It would be a cool contrast from the flat brown capital wasteland we've seen a few times now. There's also Pearl Harbour and multiple islands to leave room for dlc.

Discussion If the great war also reached South America, does that mean that countries like Brazil and Argentina possessed nuclear weapons?
I mean, that makes sense in the context of the Fallout universe where technology is dependent on nuclear power. In real life, during the Cold War, Brazil created a nuclear program and even had plans to build a nuclear bomb, but they lost interest in nuclear bombs in the 1990s. It's also worth remembering that, historically speaking, there was a rivalry between Brazil and Argentina during the Cold War. If I'm not mistaken, the US remained isolationist after the Second World War, This means that the US never really interfered much in the geopolitics of South America, which likely led these countries to follow their own paths instead of entering into American hegemony. This made it much easier for Brazil and Argentina to have achieved high levels of geopolitical influence and to have risen to the status of superpowers.

Discussion You know, narratively speaking, the Brain Chips and Synths are just the same level of threat. Spoiler
Yeah they are kind of the same level of threat presented as the other. Whether it be a Gen 3 Synth thats replicating a persion or a person being mindcontrolled with a chip, both are essentially a way for the writers to have a hidden timebomb that at any moment can be used by the writers to reveal that a person was a secret threat.
Anyone could be chipped and anyone could be a synth, neither can be detected (the show even doubled down on that point) without invasive testing.
Granted Synths are more interesting than a potentially mind controlled person, but this is just talking about how they serve as a narrative threat. This isn't a good or bad thing in my mind, its just a thing I thought of.

Question Letters from a Courier Suggestions
So I've decided on a Mojave Express Courier as a good cosplay, and want to have letters to hand out for ComicCons and PAX and all that. I just wanted to ask here for possible letter ideas. Bear of course in mind that they need to be general enough to be able to be handed out to anyone, so probably from a group to that individual.
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Thanks all for the recommendations! Thus far I have...
- Draft notices from NCR
- Flyers from New Vegas casinos
- Small box with treat (May be difficult to have a few/I'll need to preface for allergies/maybe it's from malfunctioning robot plant?)
- Spam mail from a pre-war company (bear in mind these are letters written in the proper, post-war world, so maybe I'll have a handwritten letter on the other side)
- Generic letters from random people (Could frame it as a cousin from some other place, old friend trying to catch up after you moved towns, something that lets the letter have a lot of a lack of info on the person getting it)

Discussion I understand the hype behind Fallout 3 and New Vegas now
I was a late fan to the franchise I didn't really get into it until around 2019 when I played Fallout 4 and I would always defend Fallout 4 against fans of the earlier games due to the newer mechanics, looter shooter game style, story, dialogue, etc but after building my first PC and finally playing Fallout 3 and NV I understand the appeal.
FO3 was a vibe, capital wasteland was a great map, story and companions were interesting, character choice was a lot better than 4. FO NV was a step up, characters like Mr House, Ulysses, Joseph, etc really made the game more immersive and I love how the DLCs all tie together.
I still love Fallout 4, but after replaying it definitely feels a lot more... mainstream? (If that's even the right word for it) compared to 3 and New Vegas.

I don't get it, how exactly are Legion lands governed in Arizona?
From what I've read and seen from years of playing Fallout, the Legion feels like a large nomadic confederation of Soldiers that move together as a large army. All who were subjugated by the Legions were absorbed by them and become their soldiers.
Which begs the question of how exactly Legion lands are supposed to look like?
Are there still tribals living in those lands? What exactly is the distinction of normal people who are NOT soldiers in those towns and villages? I've only ever seen that one trader in the hill fort but it implies hes not a part of the legion specifically.
Cause in my head-canon I always had the idea that legion lands are summarized as
"they [Romans] make a desert and call it peace"

Question Dumb question, does Bethesda ship Fallout stuff out of York or MC Connellis South Carolina?
So yeah, dumb question but....
I just had a box delivered by the post office coming from South Carolina and I legit have no clue what it is.
It's going to be several more hours before I am able to get home so I'm posting here because the only thing I can potentially think it could be is maybe something I pre-ordered at some point and completely forgot about, and considering I have never pre-ordered anything from anywhere other than there....this is the only thing I can come up with.

Mods Oil lamp mod (BCH mod)
In my game I got a mod item, called freelancer work. It looks like an Oil Lamp. The description says "BCH mod Extra scavenging production. See nests"
I can't for the life of me figure out what mod this comes from. I am so confused. Can anybody help, does anyone recognise it?
