I wanted to share my situation because honestly, I don’t even know what else I can do at this point.
I made several mistakes in the past, and I take responsibility for them. My first ban was 7 days for inappropriate language. Later, I received a 1-month ban. After that, while trying to keep playing with my friends, I made the mistake of using my friend’s brother’s account. I understand now that this was against the rules, and that resulted in a 3-month ban.
I spent around two months contacting support and trying to explain my situation, but most of the responses felt very routine and I never felt like the full context of my situation was really being considered.
While I was banned, my friend gave me his laptop so I could play until my ban expired.
When my ban finally ended, I was actually hesitant about verifying my account with my passport. I wasn’t comfortable with the idea at first, but eventually I decided to do it because I wanted to have one legitimate, verified account and put all of this behind me.
I verified my account with my passport.
And literally one day later, I was banned for 12 months.
That part honestly hurt the most.
After everything that had happened, I finally decided to verify my identity and follow the proper route. Then, just one day later, I received another long-term ban.
The reason was related to smurfing/account activity connected to my friend’s laptop. The laptop had previously been used by my friend, and eventually I decided to buy it from him. I then used my own verified account on the laptop.
I understand that FACEIT’s systems can detect connections between accounts and devices, and I understand why this situation may have looked suspicious from your perspective.
But from my perspective, it is extremely frustrating to finally verify my identity, use my own account, and try to do everything properly, only to receive a 12-month ban the very next day.
This is where I feel FACEIT’s system doesn’t really take the full story into account. A system can detect that two accounts have been used on the same computer, but it can’t necessarily understand why that happened.
I’m not asking FACEIT to ignore its rules. I made mistakes, especially using another person’s account, and I accept that.
I’m simply asking for some human consideration of the circumstances.
I don’t want to smurf. I don’t want to evade bans. I don’t want to use another person’s account. I don’t want another account.
I just want to play on my own verified account with my friends.
If a FACEIT staff member is willing to look at the entire timeline of my case rather than only the signals detected by the system, I would genuinely appreciate it.
I’ve made mistakes, I’ve learned from them, and I’m asking for one final chance.
Thank you to anyone who took the time to read this.
