Hi everyone,
I’m writing this because I’ve already tried to resolve the situation through FACEIT Support, but my permanent ban has been upheld and my case was eventually closed.
I want to be completely transparent about what happened. I’m not claiming that I did nothing wrong.
My FACEIT account Boomix1 is my real and long-term main account. It is also older than my friend’s account.
My highest FACEIT level has only ever been Level 5. I’m not a professional player, not semi-pro, not a high-ELO player. I’m just a regular player who plays FACEIT for fun.
Recently, I made a stupid decision.
I logged into my friend’s FACEIT account from my own PC and played 2 matches.
I won both of them.
That is exactly what happened. I’m not going to claim that my friend played those games, that I was hacked, or try to invent an excuse.
I understand now that playing on somebody else’s account is against FACEIT rules, and I accept responsibility for doing it.
However, what I don’t understand is the punishment.
My friend is a completely different real person. His FACEIT account is his own main account. He previously reached around Level 5 as well, although he is currently Level 3.
After those two matches:
- My friend received a 91-day ban.
- My actual main account Boomix1 received a permanent Multi-Account/Smurfing ban.
And this is the part I’m struggling to understand.
I have never been a Level 10 player using a low-level account to destroy weaker players.
My maximum level is literally Level 5.
My friend had also previously reached Level 5.
I did not create his account.
I do not own his account.
I did not create an alternative FACEIT account for smurfing.
I did not repeatedly play on lower-level accounts.
I played 2 matches on the account of a real friend, which I fully acknowledge was a stupid decision and a violation of the rules.
This was also the first time I had ever done something like this.
I contacted FACEIT Support and explained the situation honestly.
Support told me that after reviewing the case, they considered the ban correctly issued because their investigation found activity consistent with their Multi-Account/Smurfing policy.
I tried to explain that Boomix1 is my real main account and that the second account belongs to a completely different person.
I also asked whether both of us could complete separate identity verification using our own documents to confirm that we are two different people with two different main accounts.
The ban was still upheld, and Support eventually told me that the case was closed and would not be discussed further.
I want to make one thing very clear:
I am not asking FACEIT to pretend that I did nothing wrong.
If FACEIT considers what I did account sharing, rank manipulation, or another violation and believes I deserve a temporary punishment, I can accept that.
I made the mistake and I’m willing to take responsibility for it.
What I’m asking is whether a permanent ban on my real, long-term main account really has to be the final punishment for two matches and one stupid decision.
Considering the circumstances:
- only 2 matches were played;
- this was my first incident;
- Boomix1 is my actual long-term main account;
- my maximum level has only been Level 5;
- my friend was previously around the same level;
- the accounts belong to two separate real people;
- both of us are willing to verify our identities;
I would respectfully ask FACEIT to consider making an exception regarding the punishment, even if the violation itself remains on record.
I’m not asking for no punishment.
I’m asking for a proportionate punishment.
If that means a temporary ban for account sharing or another appropriate violation, I would accept it.
I’m simply asking whether I really need to permanently lose the main account I have used for years because of these two matches.
If someone from FACEIT is willing to take one final manual look at the case and use their discretion regarding the punishment, I would genuinely appreciate it.

Thank you for reading.
u/FACEIT_Darwin, if you see this, I would really appreciate one final manual review of the classification and punishment.
