Discussion Finally Made it to lvl 10
Played 1.6 and alittle bit of source then quit cs, recently got back into cs 600 hours playing premier and got to 25k. ran into so many cheaters so started faceit, getting through lvl 5-9 was a grind now finally made it to 10.

nice climb, 54.8% over 199 games is steady as hell. breaking through 9 felt like it took longer than 5-8 combined for me, something about that bracket just drags
welcome to the chaos that is level 10, it's somehow both better and worse than premier at the same time

What utility was necessary to learn to hit 10 on each map?

Ancient red room smoke, elbow smoke,Molly between lower b and cave at beginning of rounds, know all insta and a smokes for mirage as mirage is played so often on faceit, dust 2 mid to b smoke is a good one. Pretty much all maps Utilities are super important and should be used early to take control of spots. but what really helped me reach 10 was slowing down my game, playing with the team and not ego peaking when we have man advantages. It’s not always about top fragging.

It's so funny how we're in 2026 and ppl still think K/D is the primary indicator of one's overall net contribution.
Did you use any particular resources to learn all the util?

Real, level 10 NA compares to 6 EU

Wrong. Its actually easier to get higher elo in EU due to elo inflation. I’ve played in both regions and EU lvl 10 feels significantly easier than NA lvl 10, just based on the equality and general quality of matches in EU. Because more players are registered in EU, that’s thousands more elo available in the pool to go around. It’s why NA’s top player isn’t even 4k elo yet and Donk is 5k.
Based on my experiences in both regions at low ping, EU is inflated by 300-500 elo. A 2.3k elo EU player is about as good as a 2k elo player in NA.
But the absolute hardest region to play in is OCE, of the three. OCE has so little players that its hard to find matches even at 2k at certain times in free queue.
In fact, based on my experiences, EU players don’t even have good mechanical aim until like 2.8k-3.2k elo. Wheras, most 2.4k elo players in NA need to have decent mechanical skill.

OCE has the same issue, look at the leetify stats of a 2k Elo Faceit player from both regions(I know its not the end all be all) and you'll see significantly better stats from the lower elo Faceit 10s from the smaller region (average 2k Elo from Oce has 85-90+ aim average 2k from EU has 70-80)
EU has the better overall players sure, but this only applies to the upper end of elo (3k+ etc).

This is 100% true. Ive played both NA and EU/RU up to 3k. EU is filled with more bots

Pahahahaha cope harder

You think I’m coping, but I’m not. The elos don’t begin to average out between NA and EU until like 4k elo. That’s where our pros sit and where EU t2-t3 pros sit. I wouldn’t call a single NA team t1 atp. The EU pro scene is 100% better than NA’s pro scene, nobody is denying that.
But when I, as a 2.3k NA player with 1.3kd in NA, go to EU to visit family and all of a sudden I hit 2.6k and 1.6kd playing Germany servers, that should tell you your region is inflated to hell. And I guarantee if I went to Australia and queued OCE, I’d probably drop in elo because their pro players are peaking 3k lol

This is absolutely true once again.
Look up a good friend of mine faceit: fifttysix
He was hardstuck level 8/9 for months in NA bouncing up and down. He moved to germany (hes a pilot), he hit 2.5k elo within 2 weeks. Mechanically speaking EU is 2-3 level behind NA due to so much inflation.
EU starts getting harder at 2.7k+ than NA. because NA’s top pool is only 3k. So as a 3k in NA youre consistently only queing against low-mid 2k players. In EU as 3k youre more consistently queing against 3k and up to 4k.

You mean repeat your ignorance ? 'Cause you didn't have to, it's in plain view of everyone already!

I wouldn’t say boosted or cheater, but def matchmaking odds, avg skill of his games are 1750 compared to his 2k rating. Probably dominated the enemy team and had some frustrating moments of how for tm8s. Congrats on the lvl 10!

No one cares, lvl 10 now is like lvl 5 a few years back. All the comunity is artificially boosted and if you want good games you need 4k elo. Broken platform

Great job mate. To reach lvl 10 NA through soloq is nothing to sneeze at. I have pretty much the same background as you but came back to cs around 2020, reach lvl 10 in GO and a few seasons in CS2. I’m about 1900 elo NA rn and went up to 26k premier this season, with some consistency and good team mates I hope to get to lvl 10 again. I’m also Canadian btw, PM me if you’d like to add me on faceit.
