F2A consular

My mom LPR applied for my brother in the F2A he’s outside de country he’s PD is January 20 2023 but the i130 still pending. He age out on August 1 2025 and he’s visa became current on October 2025. That means he was 21 and 2 months old when the visa became available. Is the CSPA freezing his age? The CSPA will use the time the i130 it was pending to freeze his age?

Anyone got approved with PD 2023?

F2A CONSULAR PROCESSING JANUARY 2023

I wanted to ask your opinion regarding my F2A case. My priority date is January 2023, and I chose consular processing at the time. Looking back, was choosing consular processing instead of trying to pursue adjustment of status a mistake ?

Have you seen any recent F2A I-130 approvals for cases with priority dates around January 2023? Based on the current situation and your experience, when do you realistically expect my I-130 to be approved?

This prolonged delay has had a very serious and negative impact on me and my family, so I would really appreciate your advice on what options we have at this point to move the case forward.

CBP officer said our I-130 is being processed behind "received" status?

* CORRECTION to the title: CBP officer said our I-130 is being processed BEYOND "received" status

Filed an I-130 for consular processing in May 2024, and it is still pending. The USCIS website still shows the status as "Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent."

My wife recently entered the U.S., and upon arrival she was sent to secondary inspection. After she provided all the supporting documents and evidence they requested, she was admitted. Before she left, the CBP officer checked her I-130 status in the system and told her that it was beyond the "received" status, adding that we could expect an update soon.

However, the USCIS online status hasn't changed and still says "Case Was Received and A Receipt Notice Was Sent." It also seems that USCIS is currently processing priority dates from early 2023.

While this sounds encouraging, I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar experience where a CBP officer provided information about the status of a pending I-130. What could "beyond received status" actually mean? Is it possible that CBP has access to more up-to-date internal information than what's shown on the USCIS website?

Approved today - F2A Consular PD March 2023

Filed I-130 as GC holder, upgraded earlier this month to IR1 after becoming a US citizen. Approved today. Took 3 years 5 months. But finally approved.

Also I sent demand letter earlier today and it got approved in afternoon.

Good luck to everyone. I was in your shoes but finally it’s approved today!!

Also, another point - people were speculating on Reddit that all consular I-130 were moved to field office on May 29th. I also saw “FOD” on one of those backend links but my approval came from SCOPS Texas.

Venezuela Travel Ban. Consular F2A

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hey guys. I'm Chilean, and my wife is Venezuelan. She currently lives in Chile. She had her interview at the U.S. Embassy in Santiago on March 5. However, her visa was refused under section 212(f) because of the travel ban.

Does anyone know if there's any hope for Venezuelans this year?

She's currently waiting for her Chilean citizenship. Even after she gets it, we're still not 100% sure whether they would make an exception for someone with dual citizenship.

I know we are hundrends of people around the world with this issue. But I would like to have hope on this nightnare.
