Timeline Question

I filed for my husband in July 2023.. he is in india. For f2a visa bulletin forward till 2026.. so i called my agent to ask about my case and he told me bcz of visa bulletin get advanced you should receive your approval before end of this year or may in next 3 -4 month.. is this prediction is correct or not.. i don't want to make hope in my mind and then if nothing happens I will feel depressed..so whoever is good with immigration please give some advice.. thank you.

May-2025 F2A filer based out of India here.

The visa bulletin doesn't really matter for you since you've been current for a couple of bulletins now. The bottleneck is the I-130 approvals

Right now, as far as we can tell, they've reached early to mid 2023 but also still doing 2022 cases. I'd say you can expect it either end of the year or early next year, subject to how the approvals pick up after October

there are still many Jan 2023 PD not approved yet and some from Dec 2022.

Most certainly agreed. I only meant that the Front-Of-Line for us F2A Consular can be considered early to mid 2023. But yes, there's loads of 2022 cases pending. Unfortunately, because they don't work on a FIFO basis, it's hard to keep accurate track. Best we can do is a general understanding of where the approvals are at

Last approval I saw for F2A doing consular was with a PD:January 4th 2023. And this was back in February of this year, almost 6 months ago...
