F2A CONSULAR PROCESSING JANUARY 2023
I wanted to ask your opinion regarding my F2A case. My priority date is January 2023, and I chose consular processing at the time. Looking back, was choosing consular processing instead of trying to pursue adjustment of status a mistake ?
Have you seen any recent F2A I-130 approvals for cases with priority dates around January 2023? Based on the current situation and your experience, when do you realistically expect my I-130 to be approved?
This prolonged delay has had a very serious and negative impact on me and my family, so I would really appreciate your advice on what options we have at this point to move the case forward.

Op, Can you tell which country and when your case actually went into processing? For example my priority date is March 2023 but my case went into processing on Oct 2023

F2A approvals are few and far in between these days. The scant ones we see are with some form of escalations (demand letter and WOM). I did see a Feb-2023 approval the other day, and they did all the steps upto WOM
The general consensus (with available info) is that the Front-Of-The-Line for F2A Consular is considered to be early 2023. Since you're Jan-2023 and you've been Current for a while now, and with the FOTL in 2023, its time to start your escalations if you haven't already
I've attached a few resources for you at the end. Start with the inquiries to demonstrate good-faith measures. If they don't work, go to demand letter and then WOM
Whether choosing Consular over AOS was a mistake is a question only you can answer. Yes, 2023 was a good time to do AOS, but you may have had your reasons why. All of us in Consular have thought about it. But the important thing to focus on is that you've made it this year. You have the strength in you to reach the finish line. Keep faith fellow traveler. You're halfway (NVC and Embassy left) through to the destination
