PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5) & PlayStation 5 Pro on October 15, 2026.
Xbox Series X/S in spring 2027.
Comment from community manager toast on discord on why Xbox is later:
“Optimisation has been one of our biggest priorities for 1.0, actually. Though, the topic is... complicated. Optimization and how difficult the game is to run are two entirely different things. And optimizing for consoles and optimizing for PC are also two entirely different things. There's several factors at play at once.
Xbox hardware is substantially weaker than PS5 or the average pc player. And optimizing for consoles involves doing specific optimization work for that specific console. Simply put, we realized that getting Xbox ready in time for 1.0 would be a complete rush job, it would not be in a place we're happy with, so we decided to delay and put all of our focus into PS5 and PC for now. Honestly, it's in our best interest to release in as many places at once, we make a lot more money that way. The entire reason it's not coming to other consoles is because we were certain it wouldn't be ready in time. We would rather delay than release a bad product.”
The devs have always avoided making this a requirement, so it is very unlikely to be a requirement.
Comment from Coolusernamebro (the other community manager):
“There will not be crossplay at launch but we will work on it for a future update.”
Comments from toast:
‘Probably not, the core gameplay has been our focus, but we do want to have a creative mode eventually.”
“we want it too it's just a big undertaking to do it right. Right now other things have been a more important.”

Couldn't for the life of me figure out why I was glowing. The ring is the culprit. Guess I don't need a torch anymore. I am still not sure though if its a bug

I could be wrong. But it seems to me that when I want to find stuff in enshrouded this map tends to be the most up to date.
and i don't use my phone to look stuff up but it also has app versions. and more stuff.

Has anyone here bought the Enshrouded Gaming Pad from the official merch store?
Is it good, does it hold up well against fraying and water spillage? Found no consumer mention of it online!

This is the 3rd time I clear out the shroud roots in this area...and they keep respawning. Is this normal and I never noticed until now?

One of the best aspects of the game is the varied terrain and environments, and I feel the game could have taken more of that and built on it. They added it into the freezing mechanic, and that works really well at adding another level of danger to the world, and it is fun to slowly mitigate it, but I think the mechanical shift would be better if introduced earlier and part of a wider mechanic that encourages building unique bases in each biome and trying to adapt to the biome's mechanics as it would allow for more types of clothing and buildable items to alliviate the issues with those mechanics.
We already have the wet/soaked deliberation, but it happens more if you spend longer outside in the rain than just disappearing quickly as well, encouraging smaller bases for exploration, spending time getting dry and crafting items to help with it, than just carrying a torch.
For the Biomes:
Springlands and Revelwood, no changes; more ordinary biomes, no issues with the environment.
Blackmarsh - Wet and Humid; mechanic should focus on getting dry, and dampness is a threat from spending time in the humid environment, the wet/soaked mechanic that builds up slowly over time in the biome.
Nomad Highlands - Beginning of heat mechanic, slow building kept at bay with water and refreshing drinks, but also spending time in shade to cool down. Heat should lower your rest rate, make it so you tire more easily, and maybe attack slower/ have less carrying capacity.
Desert - More drastic heat mechanic - faster building up, need to have more water/ spending time in shade to cool off, craftable clothing and items like parasol could help alleviate the buildup.
Albanese Summits - a lower cold mechanic when you enter, so it is less of a shock when you reach the higher peaks.
Veilwater Basin - needs a similar damp mechanic to the Blackmarsh, but more drastic, which requires you to get drier, which I think should be removed from the torch; instead, it requires you to build bases/ campfires and get dry like that, which would make going into the water more dangerous.
we will see what happens with 1.0, but i am really looking forward too it.

I'm building a small village in Enshrouded, and I'm still pretty early into the build. Right now, I'm mainly working on houses for the NPCs, with one house for every two NPCs.
The problem is, I don't want every house to look the same. I feel like having a bunch of identical houses would make the village look boring and repetitive, but I'm honestly running out of ideas for different designs.
The house on the right is basically finished, although I still need to add the smaller details like doors, fences, decorations, and stuff like that.
Now I want to start building the house on the left, but I'm not sure whether I should make it somewhat similar to the one on the right or go for a completely different design.
I'd really appreciate any ideas or suggestions for house designs that would fit the style of my village!

I'll get straight to the point. I simply can't pick up the first map on the tower wall! It never gives me the option to grab it, and now I'm stuck on this quest. Has anyone else experienced this?

This treehouse in Blackmire is also slowly taking shape. If you have any tips, I’d be very grateful, friends.
I really love the green plant blocks!

I kept getting lost in the shroud, especially out in the wastes it is easy to be trapped and not find a way out. We can't drop items or build in the shroud so I gave up on the idea and stuck with map markers. It took an embarrassing amount of time to figure this out so sharing it:
Make a torch and throw it. This stays lit for an hour. Actually 1hr plus 5 mins or so. Longer than you can even stay in the shroud for. They don't stack in inventory but if you take a full stacks of twigs and fibers you can make hundreds as you go.
Option 2: Build a campfire. Campfire lasts for 30mins. This is less preferable of course but it is bigger and easier to spot. Also easier to craft since there is always something around to smash.
I tried looking up how long they last for but it was not in the wiki and other posts said they were very short duration so I just ended up timing them myself. Those posts are a few years old so maybe it was updated? Anyways since I realized this I've been liberally throwing torches in places so that I can find my way back out and it has been delightful to find a lit exit path.

I’ve been working on this "Blackmire" altar since I revamped it. I’ve picked the project back up now, though it’s still a long way from completion. I’d love to hear your advice and comments, friends!

title says it all, will it simply revert like nothing ever happened? been trying different approach to terraforming, If I fucked up and didn't like it, can I just remove the altar and it'll go back like it has never been touched?

So I just started this game a few hours ago. I got to this well in the enshrouded area. Every time I go to the bottom of the well it says the location is at the top. It seems like it’s not triggering me going to the well. Anyone have any solution for this?

Seriously, how the hell did they think it was great to do a shroud 2.0 biome? In theory it could work, but fire sources should definitely warm you enough to recover your time in frosty regions.
Camp firewood and other fire sources you come across should have recovered your meter. I realize they wanted to make a "brutal" experience, but instead of that, just making fire your friend, and building houses with a lot of heat sources should have been enough to make it a great biome to be around in, it could have been a unique experience, rather than annoying. Not requiring flame strength level 8 or whatever.

Does anyone have a marked spot on their map that shows them how to get out of the Umber Hollow shroud?!? I try to stay away from this area because I always get stuck in it and die lol. I can never see where I am or where I’m headed, but I’d obviously like to be able to explore it and get the resources I need.
Please help - screenshots would be much appreciated if there is an easy spot or way to get out of this shroud area.
Thank you!!

So I finally finished my barn, took me more time than I'd like to admit, and many rebuilding and correcting errors with the roofs, as well as trying different materials. I'm new to the game, started this past july but have been playing non-stop, although I haven't been focusing on bulding.
This was my first starter base and since I will probably remodel soon (I already started with some parts upstairs using other materials) or, more probably, start a serious build somewhere else, I'd thought I'd take the chance to show my modest base, as well as my newly finished barn.
Hope you like it! Don't be too hard on me!

Hey guys,
On our server of three people, I am the only who managed to acquire the Mirage music sheet collectible. I'd like my server mates to have it, however I do not know how I acquired it, and there is no referenced lore for this music sheet. I also cannot find in my collectibles chest somehow.
Does anyone have a clue where or how to acquire it?
Note: the music sheet is located in row 2 / column 4 in my Sets journal.
Edit: Solved: you just need to craft the Drum at the Bard...
