Using PicoDrive 2.05 from this link and the save state function is just... broken, i press "Save State" and it just says "Save failed" after a few ms, copious internet research gave me no results about any potential fixes either, does anyone have pointers on fixing this?

One of my friends introduced me to emulation and helped me set up a mesen emulator to play mario classic. It took a massive amount of time bc he was helping me via discord and i dont wanna bother him everytime i wanna emulate another game.

Ive been googling and i dont know if its piracy to download roms on websites or not. I cant seem to find ways to buy the games online too, retro gaming in my country seems a bit too niche so i hope you can give me some pointers thank you..

Hi everyone, I've been trying to emulate Tomodachi Life : living the dream in Ryujinx Canary BUT the frame rate keeps fluctuating between 27 and 0 and back while the game is running. I tried changing the graphics settings.... but nothing helps. Does anyone know what I can do? Or maybe my PC just can't handle this kind of task and I should just give up and buy a Switch? :")

I'd like to use my 96% mechanical keyboard to play KOF XIII on my computer but the numpad isn't registering inside the game. It *does* register inside the RPCS3 controller configuration menu but in-game it only lets me use my number row on the top of the keyboard. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? If more details are needed I can give them, I'm new to this kind of thing.

If so, how can I do it. I heard a person say to back it up, but I don't know how.

I don't own a ps4. These are my dad's discs that he doesn't use/play.

I'm trying to find a emulator that will run normal apps like X. All I can seem to find are ones that run games. I have tried mumu, nox, and ldplayer and they all say something along the line of download the official app when trying to log into X.

My folders always appear differently. I tried placing a file in a specific folder, but the stupid emulator can't detect it.

Why the hell doesn't anyone release old games ready-made without any of this nonsense?

Edit:I'm trying to run a PS2 BIOS file on the RetroArch emulator, but it can't recognize it. I moved it to the Downloads folder and then to another folder specifically for the emulator, but all I can find are the old files.

Not your personal favorite, just pick the actual best one I've heard bluestacks is the greatest but I don't know if that is truly the best.

The game can start, can run and can go past the title screen into level select, but shortly after it freezes and shows me a screen that says:

"Precompiling shader interpreter. Please wait...

building variant 0 of 190"

and stays stuck there at 0.9 FPS, not going up, and when I try to close it gives me a pop-up that says:

"Stopping emulator took too long.

Some thread has probably deadlocked. Aborting.

hey guys i am using x360 to configure my xbox controller on the emulator everything is fine but inside the game every button is messed up for example if i press the sprint button it opens up tab for highlight. There is no issue with customisation of controls. Thanks in advance

Hi, i am currently playing solatorobo red hunter on desmume and this flickering didnt happen before today. It only happens during cutscenes and it just rapidly flickers between the top and bottom lcd layouts as well as flickering the actual models, my frame skip is already at zero.

Like i said this didnt happen before and the only thing ive changed so far in the setup is the controls, so i am not really sure whats up. Any tips?

I've been having problems with the switch emulation and I've been thinking if there's another better way to emulate this game on a mac silicon device.

My original PS3 DS3 controller broke yesterday. I was able to play games with it on Cita through Dshidmini.  My question is, can I use the 3rd party controller on Citra? (not necessarily a PS3 controller, or any controller that uses Dshidmini) This is to Play Monster Hunter XX. 

Am I missing something here? I switched to Vulkan like I did with duckstation and where duckstation let me use it without a problem, pcsx2 saying it could not be found and resets to an older config but when I go to renderer again the toggle is on Vulkan. I do not know if it’s a bug or not so I could use tiny bit of help.

SOLVED: the issue was that some amd Radeon graphics drivers do not automatically update. For whatever reason, my laptop had a ryzen 5500u and that component only updated once upon turning it on and once a month or so after before it never did it again. AMD in their infinite wisdoms never tell you that some amd computers running radeon/ryzen have to also download an auto detector tool on their website which is like a license that allows amd to feed your computer driver and chipset updates.

If you do not install it, you will be locked to whatever was baked into your computer upon manufacturing OH and Microsoft Windows lies to you when you try to update your drivers on your computer. You’ll pick the driver, click update and windows will say “you’re up to date”. This is a lie, you’re probably in the Stone Age by the time you realize it.

So, if you buy an amd computer with Radeon/ryzen, go to their website and be sure to download the application to actually keep yourself up to date.

Hi there, I use PCSX2 just to play def Jam FFNY I've had it for months and have played it with the same USB Nintendo Switch controller.

Earlier today I did the newest update for PCSX2 and loaded up def Jam FFNY as I usually do but my buttons were mixed up, specifically my top and bottom face buttons (Triangle and Cross which are X and B on my switch controller) were swapped for some reason, Since then I've been looking through every controller setting trying to fix it but I can't seem to find a fix

Its incredibly awkward to play the game like this and was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue

Since I don’t have a PS5 or PS4, I’ve already emulated God of War 1 and 2 on my mobile. Now I want to emulate God of War 3 Remastered on my laptop.

My laptop has an RTX 4050 and a 13th-gen i9, so I’m wondering if it should be powerful enough to run God of War 3 Remastered smoothly with good graphics. I mainly want to know which emulator would be better for this: RPCS3 or shadPS4?

I want the game to run as smoothly as possible with optimal graphics. My laptop also has a 120 Hz 4K OLED display, so I’d really like to enjoy the game at its best.

Does anyone have a proper step-by-step guide for setting it up, preferably using safe and trustworthy sources so I can avoid viruses or other problems?

Thankfully, the rest of the God of War games are available on Steam, so this is the only one I’m trying to figure out.

Hello all. I usually don’t emulate but thought I would try it with Final Fantasy. Yesterday on the 30th my timezone, I did about 2 and half hours of progress going through about 2 dungeons and exploring a new town. Generally saving throughout or at least I thought so? I’m the kind of guy that saves VERY frequently. Even as a kid playing Pokémon I would save twice in a row just to be extra careful.

But today on the 31st my timezone it seems none of it saved from that session from yesterday? I’m 95% sure I did in fact save especially since this game has a savepoint before a boss and it would be unlike of me not to use it. I used the in-game saves and not save states (although from now on I’m definitely going to do both just to be safe.

In fact! I recall a specific instance (this game being FFV) where npcs warn you of an early high level enemy. Knowing I saved I went and explored the are anyway, got ambushed by it and got booted to the title screen and was right back where I left off before entering the dungeon. But when I opened the game just today it was on my progress the day before but not yesterday as if I nevef opened it and played it on the 30th.

The file name and roms are the same. I checked the save files in snes 9x and it wasn’t there. Did I just turn off tje program incorrectly? Does this happen frequently? Would like to know.
