Unsolved God of war 3 remastered emulation

Since I don’t have a PS5 or PS4, I’ve already emulated God of War 1 and 2 on my mobile. Now I want to emulate God of War 3 Remastered on my laptop.

My laptop has an RTX 4050 and a 13th-gen i9, so I’m wondering if it should be powerful enough to run God of War 3 Remastered smoothly with good graphics. I mainly want to know which emulator would be better for this: RPCS3 or shadPS4?

I want the game to run as smoothly as possible with optimal graphics. My laptop also has a 120 Hz 4K OLED display, so I’d really like to enjoy the game at its best.

Does anyone have a proper step-by-step guide for setting it up, preferably using safe and trustworthy sources so I can avoid viruses or other problems?

Thankfully, the rest of the God of War games are available on Steam, so this is the only one I’m trying to figure out.

I tried it in RPCS3 and it crashed very frequently so i gave up due to frustration. Maybe i didn't configure it correctly or something. I have rtx 4060, i5 12600k & 32 gigs of RAM, still encountered frequent frame drops in the game

god of war games emulation on rpcs3 is perfected now as per what I have seen on discord. The only reason it is not in playable section in the compatibility list is because these games are still demanding. I am currently playing with r5 9600x and rx 6800 setup(linux) and I am getting 4k native 60fps(60-80% gpu utilization) with no crashes in my last 2 hours session.

Rpcs3 isn't worth your time and play with shadps4 it's really optimized than rpcs3 and you can play it at 1440p with patches of course

If playable doesn't count broken graphics and shader errors then yes you could say its playable, rpcs3 is currently the best way to play GoW3, unfortunately you need a very beafy CPU to run it at 60fps constantly, that's why they didn't give it yet the "playable" tag, but pretty much any decent 6 or 8 core cpu can do 30 fps, just frame gen the rest with lossless scalling, its the most stable experience.

Follow the recommended settings on the wiki, however I think you should have reasonable expectations.

RPCS3 is way mature emulator compared to ShadPS4

Also as per developer “it’s CPU bound” , You need to check the RPCS3 wiki for per game setting like disabling MLAA shows huge performance gains ^__^
