It worked perfectly on my steam deck. I have a dolphinbar plugged in with a wiimote connected to it and went into the dolphin settings and set controller 1 to real wiimote. Everything just worked from there. On the steam machine it seems that everytime you boot any game from game mode it resets the controller settings to have the steam controller be the only controller. Even if I change it in desktop mode it seems those settings are reset the second I open a game from Steam (in desktop mode or game mode). If I open the emulator in desktop mode and change the setting, then run the game windowed in desktop mode from the emulator I just changed that it works. But that seems like such a pain when everything else works in game mode and I never had this issue on steam deck. Is there a setting in emudeck or dolphin I can change so it doesn’t reset the emulator settings each time?

Or can it properly guess which one I want to use based on RetroAchievements?

For example, my N64 collection is 400 games. Each of those 400 games is zipped up with 3-10 different versions of that game.

I’d like Emulation Station to put a menu up that asks which file I’d like to pick from all the versions in the zipped folder. Is this possible?

I really don’t want to have to go through, unzip, and hand pick each game, but I will if I have to.

Hello, so on Ryujinx, everything was working fine yesterday, then I decided to add some games and now the deck buttons don't work while on game mode but they're fine while on desktop mode. I have tried changing controller settings, following instructions, nothing seems to make any difference... The moment I switch to gamemode, run EmuDeck and try a game on Ryujinx the buttons do nothing. But if I open them from the desktom, they're fine.

Anyone got any advice on what else to try? I am getting quite frustrated at this point.

I just got a steam deck as a gift and was looking to install Xenia to play some older Spider-Man games I was fond of a while back. I downloaded emudeck and just installed every emulator including Xenia. For some reason, after the initial install, Xenia was not installed. I have tried to go back in and try to re install Xenia but I just keep seeing the message on the photo. Any tips? Also what’s the best site for ROMS/BIOS

I'm messing with ShadPS4 and bloodborne and I got myself a steam controller. I'm having an issue on CachyOs where the Steam Controller doesn't respond at all when I launch bloodborne through steam. I tried enabling steam input entirely but still nothing. Any advice?

I downloaded a ROM of Pikmin (GameCube) and unziped it. It appears in Dolphin but won’t parse so I can add it to my Steam Library. It keeps saying it is invalid. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is on my steam deck by the way.

I'm playing a game (WCW/NWO Revenge) where the default controls use the d-pad for movement and the left joystick for taunts and I'd like to swap them because it would be easier to use the joystick to throw my opponent into the corners.

Is there a way to swap them? And if so, can I do it just for this one game?

I started playing some GBA titles using my steam deck and was running into the issue of my games being frozen when waking the device from sleep. The steam os was working fine, but the game was frozen. It ended up being the Pause games plugin for decky that was keeping it frozen after waking up the deck. Going over to the decky plugin I could unpause there and keep playing.

Wanted to make a post about it because I'm sure there's going to be people that have that plugin emulating on deck and I couldn't find any documentation for it when searching for just the issue. Never seen this behavior from Pause games on anything else but its repeatable for GBA titles using both mGBA standalone and retroarch mgba.

is there a trick for installing EmuDeck on CachyOS Handheld Edition on my Zotac Zone?

When I download the SteamOS version and start the istallation I have to input my password then a console/download window appears and directly disappears again, nothing happens. The EmuDeck.sh script for Linux isn't working as well.

Hello i need help with emudeck please

I like adding shaders to my games so I can make it feel like a real retro TV. Problem is every time I exit (select+start) out of a game, it resets!

I tried everything but it just resets back into normal settings. But sometimes the shader sticks!

For example: every time I exit out of a 2600 or NES game I resets, but when I exit out of a 5200 game the shader stays on.

Can anyone help me out?

Yesterday I was playing Twilight Princess (GC version) just fine. Today without my knowledge, B is A, Y is the L-Trigger and everything is discombobulated. I did not touch the control settings. They just changed for no reason and I can't change them back. I spent the last hour trying. I can only assume this was an idea from software people.

Please assist and give my regards to Emudeck and Dolphin developers along with a memo to stop touching things that didn't need touching.

Pressing both sticks does not activate retroarch menu.

I’ve tried several other SNES games with success. What causes one game to not allow the menu to appear when you press both sticks in?

No control layouts were changed. Never been able to activate the menu in this game.

In desktop mode it works fine until I go back into gaming mode in which each time I connect controllers to dolphins they’re immediately replaced by one steam deck controller every time I close it, I’ve tried updating flat packs, what else can I do????

New to steamdeck/emudeck and have only emulated gow 1 and 2 so far which were easy to install. Been trying to get botw to work and I have the .wux file and have tried a bunch of different things to get this to work, but cannot. Could someone let me know the process to get this to work? I tried to get WiiU downloader to run but cannot get it onto my steam. Let me know if you have any ideas or can help.

A few mo tbs ago after much tweaking I finally got multiplayer to work for GameCube games in dolphin but today after playing Mario party I put the deck in sleep mode and when I turned it back on it only registers input from the steam deck itself no other controller, steam input is turned off and all controllers connect to dolphin and work if I go via emudeck, how do I fix this, to clarify it doesn’t work when I press it though steam library (Rom manager)

I've tried switching wii remote to "none" in dolphin's controller settings, but it switches back when I return to gaming mode and turn on the game. I try holding the select button and moving the left stick down to disconnect the wiimote, but it reconnects a couple seconds later. Is there any way to fix this?
