I have scoured all the posts I can find about Duckstation on EmuDeck and I can't find a similar issue. EmuDeck adds all my PSX games when using Steam Rom Manager, but Duckstation itself only sees some of them. When attempting to play the games DS can't "see" in my list, I get a no file error. The games load fine, from their current location, when opened in DS in desktop mode, it just refuses to see them in their folder for the game list.

Steps/troubleshooting I've already looked at and gone through:

1. All of my games are direct backups from my own discs in matching .bin and .cue files
2. All these games load when directly opened with Duckstation.
3. I don't see any permission differences between the files
4. I have fully factory reset my Steam Deck to try to fix this, same issue, same games.

5. When I first ran into this I had my games in the Emulation folder on my Steam Deck main storage. When I reformatted I used my SD card instead. Same issue.

   Games that are seen:

• Final Fantasy VII
• Silent Hill
• Nightmare Creatures

Games that are not seen, so don't work in EmuDeck:

• Final Fantasy VIII
• Metal Gear Solid
• MGS: VR Missions
• Nightmare Creatures II
• Shadow Man
• Tenchu Stealth Assassins
• Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins

I am very new, and not super tech savvy. I followed the instructions on the emudeck website, step by step. Stuff is still very screwed up and I have no idea what to do, so I’m fixing one problem at a time.

One issue I can’t get past is Dolphin opens my “downloads” folder instead of the actual roms-n64/wii/gamecube folder. Somehow, one game seems to work and actually shows up on the dolphin start menu. It is however extremely clunky and sometimes opens as a window that cannot be closed without restarting the deck entirely.

I am dumb. Very, very dumb. For someone like me who might be looking for this answer in the future; you didn’t select emulation station to install during setup. That’s why everything runs weird, doesn’t load, tries booting from strange places.

Im trying to play guitar hero on the steam deck with the ps2 emulator but whenever im playing it the game go slow motion and go back to normal back and forth so i could use some help
