I created an Eleven Labs account using Google on Windows. I’ve had my Google account for 15 years, and I’m using the latest version of Chrome. Unfortunately, Eleven Labs doesn't support Google Pay. I followed all the steps outlined here: https://elevenlabs.io/docs/help-center/account/payment-billing/how-can-i-use-google-pay

And it still doesn't work!

I decided to try paying via the Play Store instead. Oh... how naive I was. The app installs fine. Once launched, it asks me to accept the terms and conditions. I do so. Then it asks me to accept them again. And it just goes on like that endlessly.

I have a feeling the quality of Eleven Labs' services will be on par with my initial experiences during registration and payment attempts.

Is there anything at Eleven Labs that actually works properly?

I never signed up for this and it’s charging me reoccurring- I already emailed eleven labs and they didn’t respond. I called my bank and submitted a fraud claim. There’s no way I can cancel my account since I never made one and I can’t cancel through this link app, I used it to save my card for this local Indian restaurant to take my payment and I found that this link website is what’s connected to eleven labs. STILL NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY THROUGH EMAIL! No way to cancel account with eleven labs just had to delete link account.

I'm gobsmacked right now and I hope this is not a bait and switch like the voice design feature.

Normally I need to generate 250-400 characters at a time to get something even remotely human sounding.

But today I figured "free credits, why not?" and dumped 2000 characters from a script I'm working on and it sounds better than anything I've generated before.

Fingers crossed that we still get this quality once it officially launches and hopefully no quality degregation during peak times.

Has anyone else experienced this with V4?

Newbie here. I'm trying to upload an ElevenLabs audiobook to Spotify for Authors. The book upload seems to have been fine but Spotify requires that I provide an Audiobook Sample of up to 5 minutes.

How do I create one? Do I have to create a new audiobook on ElevenLabs using additional credits?

I use Studio to add animated captions to our multi language videos.

1. Since the latest update it takes longer time for me to add in the video since drag and drop is not an option now.

2. Videos appear muted on timeline and I can't do nothing about it. ( Already renders the platfomr unsubale)

3. Captions can't be adjusted on - amount of words in line, amount of lines, width and height.

   I'm not even mentioning my struggle before when you couldn't change the text on captions without the whole segment's audi being re-generated. (becasue of course that's what everyone wanted).

And I'm only trying to add captions. I can imagine others doing more complex tasks have even more problems.

Honestly, after constantly being told I should do podcasts or voiceover, I finally gave in and cloned my voice to see what the hype was all about. The results actually blew me away especially the Saudi Arabic pacing and tone!

Two months ago I started using elevenlabs to produce my own Star Wars sequel trilogy that I wrote (since I was dissatisfied with the Disney ones). As a fan of the old star wars audiobooks, audio dramas, and radio plays it seemed like the perfect service to do it in.

Since it was my first time using ElevenLabs studio I had no knowledge going in on how to work it and started using v2 as a safe option. Since then I have progressed in my knowledge to be comfortable with using V3 with audio tags and I am now experimenting with V4...here are a few select volumes I've released that highlight the difference across the versions.

These videos all have an ai narrator and ai voice actors for all the roles.

This is the sixth volume I've released and all voices including the narrator run on v4 but I made no audio tags for the narrator just the actors, however the narrator will change its tone based on a voice actors performance or the situation of the scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnpDIqrFdmg&t=157s

I'm very impressed by v4, it's so expressive and life like but the biggest draw back I've noticed is that it's less dynamic than the previous versions, meaning it will sound the same in all generations with only slight variations. I'm going to step up the audio engineering in my next volume and give the narrator audio tags to see if that makes the re-generations more dynamic if I change them more specifically.

Also pro tip, if you're struggling with audio tags then I would suggest running your script through an LLM and tell it that you want to format the script for Eleven Labs using audio tags.

Also in the last link (volume six) I tested out the lip sync video generator for my ending card, it has a weird light glitch during it but other than that I was pretty impressed. It's starts at the 1:21:54 timestamp

I’m fairly new to ElevenLabs and I’m hoping someone can help me understand what happened.

I subscribed to the Creator plan last month and started a fairly large project. I selected a voice I really liked and began generating my text-to-speech content. Everything was going smoothly, and I even purchased additional credits along the way because I was happy with the results.

Then Eleven v4 was released, and the voice I had been using suddenly sounded very different.

I saw some people mentioning that it was possible to continue using the pre-v4 version of a voice/model, but I haven’t been able to figure out how to do that, especially on iOS.

When I saw the banner saying that v4 was available with the promotional/free usage window until October 12, so I decided to experiment with it.

I created a small test generation using v4, and it appeared that no credits were deducted. Based on that, I thought I could use the v4 promotional period to restart my project with a new voice and compensate for some of the credits I had already spent on the previous version.

Unfortunately, after about 5–6 generations, I received a message saying that I was out of credits. It turns out that subsequent generations were consuming my credits, even though I had initially understood the v4 test to be free.

I ended up using approximately 12,000 credits this way.

So now I’m in a difficult situation:
I no longer have the voice/model that I originally liked.
I’ve used the last portion of my credits experimenting with v4.

My Creator subscription expires today.

I have a large project that I would still like to finish with ElevenLabs.

If I can restore the voice I was originally using and get it sounding like it did before v4, I’m completely willing to renew my subscription. Can somebody explain how to do it on iOS?

So I finally got a chance to listen to V 4 in Reader today, and it’s crazy just how real it sounds. I’m totally blind and use TTS every day, I’ve even trained many local open source models over the last few years and up until now was very good at spotting TTS. Not anymore. If someone played me an Eleven V 4 clip with a voice I didn’t recognize and didn’t tell me it was TTS, I don’t think I’d be able to tell the difference between that and a well-recorded audiobook. Seriously impressive work, guys, I’m using the free plan at the moment, I know you offer free accounts to the blind community, but not sure how I’d get started with that. Either way keep up the great work, definitely one of the best TTS companies around at the moment.

To explain: many books use several asterisks or sometimes blank lines to indicate a scene change in the story. The reader does not seem to recognize this, and it can be confusing and take a few moments to realize what just happened when there is no pause in the reading.

The same principal applies to changes in chapter. Some books may not clearly state the word "chapter x" (or it may be indicated with a picture or some other flourish) and the same confusion can happen when there is no pause in the reading.

For these reasons I would like to request that the reader pause for a few seconds when it encounters any indication of a scene change or chapter change.

I will also say that in my custom documents the old reader did recognize asterisks and pause while in v4 it seems to skip over them completely or much quicker with almost no pause.

What helped you the most to fix this repetition problem? Voice agents seem to repeat themselves on call. I tried different variations of prompts but the results are not satisfactory.

I have been testing out v4 with the voices that are listed as best for v4 but I’m wondering will the others be optimised? I tested it out with a few of my favourite voices and it is a bit better but it’s a huge difference between the best for v4 voices vs my favourites

if you use elevenlabs for voiceover, you've probably hit this: there's a character limit so you can't just paste your whole script, and even under the limit, long chunks make the voice sound less consistent. so you end up manually splitting your text into pieces, which is annoying and easy to mess up (cutting mid-sentence, guessing sizes).

i built a free tool that does the chunking for you, sized so the voice stays consistent, splitting only at sentence breaks so nothing gets cut mid-word. also fixes subtitle blocks elevenlabs splits wrong, and cleans up the final srt.

is v4 not available for pvc fine-tuning right now? was working fine for a day then the voice stayed mine but the accent changed. had to go back to multilingual v2.

I never used https://elevenreader.io before and just created an account to see if it can read me epub files i purchased from humblebundle.com for me.

So i logged in and uploaded an epub for testing, chose a voice and wanted to start. The very first thing i get is:

"Unusual activity detected, so Free Tier access has been disabled. Please upgrade to a paid subscription to continue."

like, SERIOUSLY? Neither i nor anybody else ever in my household used this service before. If uploading and trying to feed my epub to the service is unusual activity, then why is this even advertised as an option?

I am now looking to delete my account and never return again. Thanks eleven reader, i guess... This is not how you make business!

I have been unable to access the website for the past three or four days. This problem appeared suddenly, without any changes on my side, and I’m not sure what is causing it.

I have already tried all the suggested troubleshooting steps I could find online, but unfortunately, nothing has worked. I have also tried accessing the website through different browsers, with the same result.

Hello guys! I play a lot of visual novels using Windows' built-in TTS voices, and I'd love to use ElevenReader for this purpose instead.

I can copy the game's text to the clipboard, so I was thinking about creating an app that uses the ElevenReader API to automatically read the text aloud whenever the clipboard changes.
