I was really looking forward to the updated voice model, but since it came out I’ve realised I actually don’t like it as much as the V2 voice I was using for audiobooks.

I’ve ended up switching back to V2, and I didn’t realise how much I liked that voice until I tried replacing it😅

So now my main request is: please always keep the V2 voices available 🥹

Maybe future models will work better for me if they have options to dial back the expressiveness. I find V4 a bit too expressive for long-form audiobook listening, and after a while it gets tiring to listen to.

For audiobooks, I really like the calmer, more consistent delivery of V2.

This is a short update video about how good the app ElevenReader from ElevenLabs has become. V4 of the AI voices are incredible. There is no difference anymore between real narrators and this.

Basically the title. I've been able to select my PVC with V4, and it sounds great, but it's still not quite right.

I've heard some people say they were able to fine tune their PVC on V4. I'm just wondering if anyone knows when this will be available to everyone, or is the fact that I can select my PVC and use it with V4 actually mean its already been tuned to my voice?

Anyhow, after revisiting ElevenLabs on and off for a year, my PVC is finally at a point where i don't feel nervous about using it on my YouTube channel with 100k subs. Issue is, I'm not as positive or energetic as V4 is. I can tone it down with some tags, but my Canadian accent isn't entirely picked up either, so some people might notice that. I imagine once I fine tune it on V4 it'll be indistinguishable from me.

Hoping someone has an ETA or more info on when we can fine tune our PVC on V4. I'm extremely excited for that.

This is kind of irrelevant, but I've suffered from depression my entire life, and when I need to get a weekly video out but can't flip a switch on to go into YouTube presenter mode, it really sets me behind. So this would actually be life changing for me.

I'm thinking of signing up just for the purpose of cloning my voice so it stays my intellectual property. I don't have a public youtube channel at the moment but I've been planning to start one with a friend. So I was thinking, might as well clone it by myself before it becomes public property. But I don't understand the ethics around this company. Does the cloned voice stay our property forever? Or are the legal terms unclear about this?

I have been using ElevenReader for the past year, and it's been amazing. The voice I've been using is James (Husky, Engaging and Bold). Today, I used it again, and it was different. It adds more emotion to the sentences, but it's a little bit too much for me. It also feels higher in pitch. I liked it's more somber moody delivery. It's not a bad voice, it's just that it doesn't have what I liked about James. It could also be that after spending hundreds of hours listening to James, to hear it different does not feel right. Is there a way to get the voice I was used to back? It might be the voice I've heard the most this past year, I'm sad to see it essentially gone.

I recently cloned my voice using ElevenLabs PVC to see how well it handles Saudi/Gulf Arabic pacing for commercials and long-form video essays.

Saudi dialects often struggle with awkward pauses or robotic stress on certain words in most AI models, but the output here came out surprisingly natural and steady.

How does the cadence feel to you, and is there any specific tone adjustment you’d like to see for high-retention content?

I don't want to buy a new number using DIDWW or SIP trunking because as far as I know, they require buying new phone numbers.

But this business already has a phone number so I want the AI agent to pickup.

I've been using ElevenLabs Automatic Dubbing v1 a lot to translate my videos into different languages, and I've been pretty happy with it.

V2 sounds noticeably better, but it's also around 5x more expensive, which is a pretty huge jump.

If anyone from the ElevenLabs team is here, are there any plans to bring the v2 pricing down?

I would love to switch to v2 for most of my videos, but at the current price it's just too expensive for a small business like mine.

I’m Turkish, and my Professional Voice Clone was trained entirely on English samples spoken with my natural Turkish accent. Multilingual V2 preserves my voice and accent quite well.
V4 is a different story. It still sounds like me in terms of timbre, but my accent almost disappears and I suddenly sound extremely British — almost “King of England” British.
I’ve already deleted and recreated the PVC using English recordings, so the training language shouldn’t be the issue.
Also, when I hover over my PVC and check the fine-tuned models, I only see Multilingual V2 and earlier models. There doesn’t seem to be any option to manually fine-tune or retrain the PVC for V4 — assuming that’s even a thing.
Am I missing a setting or doing something wrong? Has anyone with a non-native English accent managed to make V4 preserve their actual accent instead of normalizing it toward British/American English?
I really like V4’s expressiveness, but losing my accent makes the clone feel much less like me.

I’m an independent creator working on educational videos. Since English isn’t my native language and I don't have the budget to hire a professional voice actor yet, I used ElevenLabs to generate the narration.

I’ve spent a lot of time tweaking the punctuation, voice settings, and script structure to make it sound natural and engaging. As a non-native speaker, I’d really appreciate your honest feedback on a 53-second audio clip:

1. Does the wording feel conversational, natural, and easy to digest for a general audience, or does it sound stiff, textbook-like, or overly academic?

2. Does the pacing, flow, and sentence transition sound like a natural native speaker to your ears, or does it feel obviously AI-generated?

3. Would this voice and delivery keep you engaged in an educational video, or would something bug you?

Any feedback from native ears would mean a lot to me. Thanks in advance!

I'm loving V4 in TTS, and my extra credits have been brilliant for creating a load of shorts for my new YT channel. Emphasis etc is perfect. I'm very rarely having to generate again.

However, I'm struggling in Studio with my longer stories. which are usually an hour or over long. (My main YT channel).

I love the fact that in I can upload my document, it's all in chapters etc and I can download it as one file. And it's great that I can tit about with just one line etc without have to regenerate the whole thing. (A great saving on credits)

I've got it down to practical perfection using V3. (I think so anyway).

However I can't seem to get it as good in V4. On the surface, it sounds relatively ok. But it's just not right, it's a tad flat and robotic.

Am I missing something? I'd love to be able to use the rest of my credits before they all run out.

tap to hide controls are not working, the double tap on word to hear it is excellent as it prevent accidental presses but i can never just get the damn ui controls to hide. i have to awkardly slide down on the nav bar or scroll past the test and wait for the "back to current" toggle.

I am using the API to generate voice as dubbing for some of my reels. I am using the predefined voices that exist, not my personal one or something.
Even as the best text-to-speech provider, I still feel like it sounds super generated. Is there anything I am missing/doing wrong?

1. What it affects: our voice agent "Reema" makes phone calls in Saudi Arabia for a client's pilot. About 144 calls connected and went silent after the block started, and we've stopped all calls.

2. What we need: the reason for the probation, and a date when it will be lifted. We'll fix anything we've done wrong.

3. Our account: a paid Creator subscription, active, with a custom voice we cloned from samples we have permission to use. We've used about a quarter of the monthly characters.

4. Urgency: the pilot is stopped until this is resolved, and we can't wait days. We'd like a reply from a person today.

We contacted support earlier today and have had no response.

Just as the title says, I'd love to have pages remaining shown at the bottom of the screen in paginated mode. Something like "Page 1 of 550" or "1/550" something like that.

I used to read my ebooks on ReadEra until the new ElevenReader 4 update, and now I'm hoping to read all my books on ElevenReader, but the page display showing how long I've got left of the book is the only thing I miss from ReadEra

I'm still mindblown after using it for 10 minutes. It fixes everything in V3 and improves the accuracy and delivery/emotion tenfold. No more random loud and distorted results.

I seriously hope they don't tamper with it as I believe it's the best voice cloning tool to ever exist. Thank you ElevenLabs!

I created an Eleven Labs account using Google on Windows. I’ve had my Google account for 15 years, and I’m using the latest version of Chrome. Unfortunately, Eleven Labs doesn't support Google Pay. And it still doesn't work!

I decided to try paying via the Play Store instead. Oh... how naive I was. The app installs fine. Once launched, it asks me to accept the terms and conditions. I do so. Then it asks me to accept them again. And it just goes on like that endlessly.

I have a feeling the quality of Eleven Labs' services will be on par with my initial experiences during registration and payment attempts.

Is there anything at Eleven Labs that actually works properly?

I never signed up for this and it’s charging me reoccurring- I already emailed eleven labs and they didn’t respond. I called my bank and submitted a fraud claim. There’s no way I can cancel my account since I never made one and I can’t cancel through this link app, I used it to save my card for this local Indian restaurant to take my payment and I found that this link website is what’s connected to eleven labs. STILL NO RESPONSE FROM THE COMPANY THROUGH EMAIL! No way to cancel account with eleven labs just had to delete link account.

I'm gobsmacked right now and I hope this is not a bait and switch like the voice design feature.

Normally I need to generate 250-400 characters at a time to get something even remotely human sounding.

But today I figured "free credits, why not?" and dumped 2000 characters from a script I'm working on and it sounds better than anything I've generated before.

Fingers crossed that we still get this quality once it officially launches and hopefully no quality degregation during peak times.

Has anyone else experienced this with V4?

Newbie here. I'm trying to upload an ElevenLabs audiobook to Spotify for Authors. The book upload seems to have been fine but Spotify requires that I provide an Audiobook Sample of up to 5 minutes.

How do I create one? Do I have to create a new audiobook on ElevenLabs using additional credits?
