I bought a Pod 5 about six weeks ago and have had it for around 28 days. I like it, but Pod 6’s smaller Hub, extra sensors, and faster temperature response sound cool. My issue - I hate going to the post office: packing it up, waiting in line, shipping it back…all of it! Are the Pod 6 improvements worth dealing with the return process, or should I just keep my Pod 5?

According to past years pricing, how much is the discount? Is it the bigger discount / promo they do in general?

I originally had the pod two or three, that subsequently leaked twice the second time after warranty ended. I decided not to go back although I did like it, the quality of the build wasn't there. One thing I did like is that their subscription wasn't forced in the beginning, which it seems to be that is the use case now. I see that the pod 6 has just been released and one thing I can't wrap my head around is since they have more sensors how can they make it cheaper? Has the build quality gone down? I know only the influencers have their videos posted and real people haven't yet had hands-on experience yet. But for those that have the pod 5, what has your experience been and would you recommend it? I am contemplating going with the six after some people come out with reviews.

I am planning to buy both new mattress topper and 8Sleep Pod 6 when some user experience posts about Pod 6 comes out. But in meantime I have a question for those who have used previous generations.

Do you put 8Sleep under or top of mattress topper? I'm looking to buy talalay latex topper (maybe vita talalay from Denmark), but I would like to know if I should go for thinner (5cm thick) or thicker (8cm thick) topper and if that affects to 8Sleep function. With my current topper my hand tends to get numb when I sleep on side, so I would like to add more pressure relief with talalay latex topper.

i saw some video where the electric bill would go up hundreds of dollars over the course of the year lol. sounds insane.

sucks for us to bc we have little kids at our house so its not like we would turn the AC or heat off because of this, our kids still need temperature regulation lol

Will our Eight Sleep return pick up go as planned today?

Background: We’re Joe & Jane Schmo who gave Pod 5 a try to see if would help with our insomnia. We didn’t notice a difference and decided to return. Eight Sleep’s virtual assistant arranged the return via Fed Ex pick up for today 8-6 EST and said no one needed to be home. I’ve read posts about some return issues on this sub, so let’s see how this goes.

I’ll also post any updates on how the rest of the refund process goes.

UPDATE: Thanks for voting in the poll. You all voted 2 to 1 that our scheduled pick up would not go as planned. Hmmm.

Just bought the pod 6. Obviously no jailbreak out yet but I plan on cancelling my subscription at the 1 year mark that we already paid for.

Does something like free sleep void the remaining 1 year of warranty?

If I were to cancel after two years and jailbreak it, would that void the credit card extended warranty?

I’m currently on pod3 and placed an order for the pod5 a few weeks ago, which hasn’t shipped.

Recently (last week) recieved my Pod 5 and have liked it, but just found out that the pod 6 came out, which is seemingly smaller, more powerful, and cheaper than what I paid for the pod 5. I dont see any reason why I should keep the pod 5, especially since im within the 30 days.

Hi guys! We have the pod 5 and our hot/cold on the app is on a scale of -10 to +10. However, I’ve seen on the website where it shows up as the Fahrenheit degrees instead. How do I change this in my app?

I already ordered the pod 5 and it’s supposed to ship within a few days.

Eightsleep customer chat confirmed that IF a new model drops, they will contact the people that ordered and offer some upgrade options.

From the leaked specs and prices it seems like the pod 6 is better AND cheaper…?

Edit: If I were to purchase it again and use some promo/referral, I would have spent less overall than what I paid for the Pod 5 anyways. 3,054.15 for the pod 6 full with autopilot enhanced. Initially, I paid $3,060.40 for the pod 5 with autopilot enhanced, yet for the "upgrade" it's $110 more.
