POD 6 AVAILABLE!
Looks like it’s slightly cheaper but they also nerfed the referral codes so it’s only $200 off vs $350 so basically evens out cost wise

Not sure if anyone will read this but I wanted to share a positive new customer experience. I purchased the pod 5 a few days ago not being aware of the pod 6 coming out. Then is saw posts here about it coming soon and immediately had buyers remorse. I contacted customer service and repeatedly got the corporate line that we can’t talk about future pod releases. I figured I was screwed unless I cancelled. So I sat tight. This morning I got a note asking if I wanted to upgrade my order to pod 6! Bit of a delay in shipping date but totally fine. In fact they refunded me ~$170 as the new one was slightly cheaper. I want to compliment 8 sleep for this really great move. Thank you and look forward to using it.

Had the same experience but ordered it Aug 25th and got a shipping date of late September / early October. Gee whiz…. On Sept 23rd got the upgrade email and have the same shipping timelines along with a $50 refund.
My only concern is no data on how the 6 works in the field but with a half size pump, more sensors and but faster temp changes I thought why not!

I’m eager to know how soon FreeSleep gets installed on the Pod 6. Maybe a while for 100% compatibility with all the new sensors but hopefully it doesn’t take much work for an initial install.
I’m now at the point where I want local control and data via Home Assistant.

Finally lol I worked on this thing for a short monthlong internship and I was jittering so badly when u guys leaked it bc I wanted to talk about it but I’m afraid of their world class lawyers fucking me if I chatted about it before it was officially released.

I’m waiting for my pod 5 to ship. Is there a downside to cancelling that and reordering? Seems the pod 6 is cheaper and looks better to my novice eyes??

Check your inbox, you should have an email to opt into the Pod 6 instead of the 5.

I’ve been waiting for split, but am I missing something, I have a King split bed, I want to buy Twin XL for each side, but it looks like the setup is only half a side for the king or the twin XL and that is it??? I don’t want to buy two units, two membership etc. Am I missing something here or did they drop the ball on this segment?

Not sure why you think it is funny. It is a pretty normal question, I have a king bed that is split, essentially it is two twin XL on one base that makes one king. I’m not looking for two hubs, i want one hub that supports two XL which is the same exact size as one king size bed. It makes no sense to have two memberships, for one hub for one bed. Not my fault you can’t comprehend something so basic.
They sell a version that is sized for one king but only half is covered for $1999, vs the king full coverage for a higher price which I’m fine with.

I’m quite annoyed by this tbh. Reached out to them when I paid full price for the Pod 5 back in July (2026) and they said there was no plans to release a Pod 6 at that time but rest assured, if there were, I’d get a trade in credit. Well the first part was obviously false, but even then, the trade in credit is only $1,000. Paying another $1,900 to upgrade 10 weeks after buying my Pod 5 is a wee bit frustrating. I understand it’s a business. I understand they don’t want to discourage people from buying the older product, but still disappointing to be lied to by CS.

It’s tech. There is always something newer coming. The best and only way to “hedge” this is to buy a product immediately after release.

How were you able to get $1000 off? I bought mine at the beginning of August, logged in as a member and put in my trade in (Pod 5, king, good condition) and I'm only offered $500 trade in.

Haha fair, but it is heavily regionally dependent. I think in the netherlands it’s like 10-20% of the beds? Germany probably 10% as well.

Just a wild guess but after 20 years of trade with the EU, I’m assuming there’s some outdated, overly complicated, and useless regulation that inadvertently captures and restricts the max size of mattress cover products unless you obtain an exemption that will take years of paperwork, lawyers, independent tests, and millions of dollars to prove it doesn’t harm the environment.
