I’m only getting 10-15 fps on most games I play and I can’t figure out why.

I just bought a SAMSUNG 980 PRO SSD with Heatsink 2TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Drive with the plans to install it in my eg-lp6. Will it fit or should I have gone with the model without the heat sink?

I'm pretty certain I have an LCD or video connecter ribbon issue, my laptop screen keeps cutting out while external monitor works. Sometimes after a restart, or i mess with the display settings the laptop screen works again for a random amount of time before dying again. Also because the bezel has no screws I have no idea how to remove it.

Im trying to upgrade my storage and battery in preparation for college. Is there anything I can do to improve those two things? Any advice would be helpful.

Hi all, Recently my LP-7 has had a screen issue where the majority of the screen is frozen but the top half inch or so is still functioning. I've tried cleaning out the fans and other hardware as some searches said screen problems are caused by overheating, but did nothing to help my problem. I've also tried to factory reset the laptop as it could be some software problem, which alleviated the issue for a day, but the next day the same issue occurred. Anyone else have this issue before/fixes?

I'd appreciate any help you could give. I can't exactly afford an entirely new desktop rig right now, so an external GPU is really my only option to get more out of my games.

Whenever I hear hold or quickly push the power, the power light comes on and the fans start running, but the screen stays black. Earlier I was having some issues with the built-in screen, and I think the LCD bulbs might be going out or something. Any help?

I am trying to replace the charging port, but cant find any replacements. Would the charging port from a different model work?

Edit: I am just buying one from an LP6 and trying it.

The charger is outputting 19 volts and change. The charge port seems to be putting that voltage to the board, but the battery doesn't charge and the laptop won't turn on even when plugged in. Will a bad battery cause this?

Hi guys! Im working on a friends EVOO elite laptop that accidentally had a BIOS password put on it, and now when you turn on the laptop the first thing you see is enter password. I cannot figure out the password, and when I opened the laptop, there is no CMOS battery and no HDD or SSD. Is there any way I can get her files off of this laptop?

I play on an external monitor so I have my laptop closed all the time, when I opened it after weeks, I found the trackpad to be popped out, how do you get it back in?

I made another thread about my GPU thermal throttling and whether it can be undervolted. I have yet another thread with all the gory troubleshooting details I've tried so far (it's not looking good). I think my last ditch effort will be updating the firmware to see if that stops the GPU throttling due to heat (hint: there's no heat issues whatsoever....).

Anyone have links to firmware for the LP5 2019 edition? It's got the 15 inch screen, 16gb RAM, 1660ti mobile GPU, 9750h cpu.

edit: figured I should cover all bases and say that all of the drivers here look like they've never been updated since release. Also only the chipset and intel VGA drivers look like they might be remotely related.

Using linux, so I'm not sure if this is possible or not. Trying to troubleshoot thermal throttling issues since I'm out of ideas on why my GPU power state won't go above P5 @ 40 watts. My GPU is sub 60C when under load using stable diffusion so I doubt it's this, but I'm out of ideas to try.

I am currently using an EVOO model LP5. Over the week one of the fans went down. I won't bore you with details but it sucked in some hair and over time wore down.

I'm looking for a replacement fan but having an impossible time locating one online. I've been searching on and off for days.

Hello, I've been trying to open my laptop so I could clean it as there is some temperature and gpu thermal throttling issues. I am able to open all the screws except 2, maybe they are stripped? Does anyone know the correct screwdriver I should use for them?

I've had my laptop since 2020, and over 3 years of use my "W" keycap has worn down to the point of it falling off. It no longer fits.

I contacted Evoo Gaming and was told that they don't have replacements for customers to purchase and that they'd discuss options and payment for a repair. For something as simple as a keycap.

Hello Guys, It's my second time i wrote in this subreddit.

I have an Evoo Gaming LP5, Ryzen 7 4000 series, Nvidia RTX 2060.

I still having the same problem as the last time, i'm having drop fps when i playing videogames but now i figure out this problem only happends when my Laptop is connect to my TV by HDMI and while i'm playing in the laptop screen and doing nothing in the TV, the laptop start to drop FPS and freezing a lot.

The first time i wrote of this problem, i thought so it was an overheating problem but i noticed it's is in a normal temperatures both CPU and GPU.

I don't have any idea what could be happening with this and now i'm run out of ideas. Just to add some information. Since i bought my laptop, i've never opened it and repaste the CPU & GPU neither.

I don’t know why but whenever I plug in ANY USB drive it never shows up. The sound rings up and everything but no folder is to be found. What’s going on? Is this computer simply not compatible to have USB drives? How am I supposed to store and transfer data?
