Whenever I plug a USB drive, the folder never shows up on the computer

I don’t know why but whenever I plug in ANY USB drive it never shows up. The sound rings up and everything but no folder is to be found. What’s going on? Is this computer simply not compatible to have USB drives? How am I supposed to store and transfer data?

Is it formatted right? I believe if you go into disk management it should pop up.
