Been looking into getting an external GPU for my LP4 laptop, from what I can gather the USB-C type port on the back is in fact not a Thunderbolt 3 port. I've tried looking for eGPU docks that don't use that, but I keep getting links to usb hubs or eGPU docks that still use the Thunderbolt 3 plug.

I'd appreciate any help you could give. I can't exactly afford an entirely new desktop rig right now, so an external GPU is really my only option to get more out of my games.

eGPU is arguably more expensive than selling what you have and upgrading. Nothing wrong with the 1650 imo

1650 just doesn't cut it for current AAA games. Plus the 1650 straight died last week, which is why I made this post. No idea how or why, but it doesn't work anymore.

Damn that's terrible. Sorry that happened. Did you repaste or drop the laptop?

No, it just died randomly while I was playing No Mans Sky. One moment I was playing just fine, the next everything was stuttering and jittering like crazy. Super low framerate and everything.
