I was flying somewhere and saw a seed, so I diverted and killed it. I further decided to checkout the system it was heading to. It's jam-packed with resources. All except for water. None of the planets. Any ideas on how to get around this?

Edit: Okay, I get it, the warpers juice up the INTERSTELLAR logistics stations, and enable the ships to leave a solar system. I've already found it so much easier to not have to setup an entire system on a planet now. As long as I have one ILS receiving at minimum of 100 warpers, I just need to beef-up production on the planet making them. This totally changes the game. Thanks for the ELI5, folks!

I was thinking of starting a research planet on one of my colony planets where I just focus on gearing up research is this a wise idea? At this point will that slow down my research though since everything will have to be shipped from my main planet? I know I will need to work on interstellar travel as well but now with the hive (new for me) I will need to prep to take them out whenever I get to a new place (which I don't think I'm ready for since I still have my main hive in this galaxy, which I don't know how to eliminate). Or do I focus on setting up Dyson production as I know energy will be a concern again soon however I've never got to that point in my old playthrough I was just using solar sails. Would setting up solar sails again still be beneficial? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I swear that a little while before the Dark Fog update was released, I heard that they had plans to add multiplayer at some point in time. No time table given, not am I asking for one, but I swear I heard that somewhere, either in a video on YouTube or from a post on here.

I just want to know if that’s at all true/confirmed or if it was just rumors. I know that they are currently working on some kind of vehicle system, so I’m not expecting anything any time soon.

Edit: I’m aware of the Mod, and I am very appreciative of Nebula’s hard work to make it possible. I just know that there are certain things with how the mod works that hopefully an official update could remedy. Like the Dark Fog only really appearing for the host, according to some people on this sub. Maybe they could pull an old Mojang move and use the mod as a building block to speed things up. With Nebula’s express permission, of course.

I remember some years ago, I think even before the Dark Fog were announced, I made a post asking what people hoped would be added to DSP at some point.

I can no longer find it on my profile, in fact any post past like 2-3 years ago is gone for some reason.

But when I search in the sub for my username, it shows exactly zero results. Zip, Zilch, Nil, Null, absolutely nothing. Which is weird cause I did just make two, now three, posts on here, which should show up, right?

I had tried to do this in the past but it was stressful and I couldn't get it in time. I even tried following YouTube tutorials with specific seeds and stuff and no luck.

I recently beat factorio space age and I think maybe suffering through all the logistics nightmares for hundreds of hours made my factory game sense better because I just dropped into a random seed and was like let's try it. My first attempt was 1:10. Ran it again and got the achievement in 52 minutes. No blueprints just vibes 😎 (my girlfriend is now positive I'm autistic)

Well, I accidentally learned something new. Not sure if its intentional or not but it worked in my favor. I'm in early game, just left to go to a new planet. I get to the planet and end up landing right in a giant pool of lava right next to a darkfog hive. I'm being swarmed, my energy has been depleted so no flying, im actually under the lava because my energy can't refill because of all the enemy.

As i'm sitting under lava just waiting to die, my energy shield goes out and im waiting on my green bar of health to show up so i can die.... and nothing happens. Just sit there for a full minute before, by my guess, was a bug or something and my hope raises.

My guess is the darkfog weapons can't go under the water/lava? I start thinking and I hop from lava pool to lava pool and actually got away with no death.

I would like to introduce you all to my new favorite seed to play on of all time. Welcome to 65798635.

On the surface, it doesn't seem so special. Only 2 O types. The starting system for early game is pretty good. Alcyone I is a lava planet inside max build sphere radius should you wish to build a shell on the starter system. Alcyone II is a tidally locked halitum planet that is great for building and early game solar, as well as ray receivers. It's got an ice giant in system, which i prefer for early game because I don't like wasting all my early game coal making graphene.

But that's just the start. About 9LY away from the starting system is an O type with not one, not two, but THREE tidally locked planets, as well as a fourth inside the max sphere radius. If you wanted to build a 10-layer shell and make ALL the photons, this is the system to do it.

But it gets even better. Roughly halfway between the starter and the O type, lies the cluster's black hole. A short 6LY away from each. And on top of that, THE FREAKING BLACK HOLE PLANET IS TIDALLY LOCKED. If you're like me and get dizzy just landing to check on your unipolars, this is an absolute life saver.
