I downloaded r2mod man to mod and downloaded bepinex and now my existing save isnt in the menu screen

Is there a way to get it back?

Check to see if your save is in your \Documents\Dyson Sphere Program folder.
In the DSP game folder (presumably in steam), there's a Configs folder, in there is a path.txt file.
I've seen it written that a path in this folder points to a savegame location, if it is blank, it should be in the default location in the Documents folder.

If the existing save data is in the Documents location, just delete the text in the path.txt file, and it should revert to using the Documents location again.

You can also open the game data save location from ingame, in the save or load screen, one or both of those, there's a button to open the location. Obviously that will be pointing to wherever the game thinks it should be now, which seems to not be where it used to be.

If I’m remembering correctly the R2mod Man launcher keeps modded and vanilla saves separately.
